Thats the only thing I can think of, so prilled, which is toughted to be fast acting, must have some slow release in it too.Would the ppm have doubled because the DL is dissolving?

Happy Holidays and all the best to you and your loved ones Rob.Happy holidays Gee! Hope you enjoy the time with your family!
I've always wanted to try bonsai, and almost had my wife talked into trying it. Myself I just can't find the time to research it. The plants are pretty darn cool when you get it right.Yes in plastic right !! It's happed a few times to me cuz my other plants in plastic, they too young they not ready for pot packing less than 6mo old last attempt they died cuz of this exact thing, hard to bonzai from seedling in pot .....but CT a miserable Yankee arm pit that looks like Detroit in winter,so I have to try it see look....
Left is a Canadian oak** and right is Japanese maple. The jm is currently coming out of dormancy cuz I diddnt get it outta the winter air n ground fast enough but it's budding just slowly lol. I don't think cannabis has these issues but could especially if in super tight pots
G! Hey man long time no see. Merry Christmas! Let's catch up after the holidays wind down.Merry Christmas everyone!
Merry Christmas Stone! You had a great year too! I really enjoyed your journals, so thank you! It was great fun!I'm happy to geek out organically! Thanks for all the help! This keeps getting funner with every grow!
I had to repot my mother's and cut off 1/2" of roots all the way around about every 2 months and back fill in new soil to keep them happy. I had a bonsai tree that I kept alive for about 4 years until it got a spider mite infestation and I couldn't save it.Yes in plastic right !! Happy holidays to everyone! Thanks for letting me dive into this organic rabbit hole with you all! Hope everyone has safe and happy holidays.Merry Christmas all you plant geeks!! I've really enjoyed all our nerdy banter this year.
Everyone seems to really be dialing in their ways and it warms my heart to see you all excited about your grows. It takes time to dial things in so be patient and keep building your foundations stronger and this next year will be even better
Team Organic for the win! I love seeing you guys popping up in all the contests!
Thanks to each and every one of you for making my year very enjoyable. I hope I have returned that privilege.
@Carmen Ray your in the future... Did Santa treat us well this year or is he still at your table eating some special cookies that @Lerugged cooked up?
Merry Christmas to you too girl! You rocked it this year! .
@g-one-three You too had a very good year! Congrats!
I think we all did actually. Thanks again Everyone, and the Merriest of Holidays to all!
Theres a bunch out on the interwebs. The one I printed out allowed for various leaf temp offsets so i set it to -2.make sure your chart is for plant VPD. Got a picture of it?
Ok, I'll check in another day or two. House guests atm.Veg is not nearly as important as flower when it comes to the 2 degree offset. You aren't on the clock yet like you are in flower. If your air and leaf temps have a wider gap but your RH is quite low, and between the 3 numbers you still have a correct VPD value, your good. What does your VPD register at? The beauty of VPD is that you can achieve the right VPD with a lot of different scenarios.
Just flipped a few days ago and haven't checked. I'll check next time I open the box.Not entirely correct. It means your rootball can't keep up to the foliage. That could be from lack of minerals, or from too much canopy for the rootball size, or you may need a microbe tea to get more microbes pooping.
It could be very robust but simply not large enough to supply the foliage
What do brix registerATM.
Yeah, the new schedule should make gathering the info more reliable. And a great early start to the day!Excellent idea. More data is always better.
They are. The charts are in bigger increments than single degrees, but close enough to ball park stuff. Which is fine for me since it seems my rh increments are by the dozen or two.You are always very welcome Azi, and again.... make sure they are the correct charts. Compare the charts to what a 3 input VPD calculator says.
I've never really paid much attention to my environment since I didn't think I could do much about it in a small space. I grew in an unheated basement for a while and in that I used a very small heater, but that was about it.I'm pretty busy until the house empties out on the 29th, but them I'm all yours if you need to discuss this in depth until you find your plan.
And remember, I'm throwing out the perfect scenarios. I'm pretty good at dialing mine in, but you always have days that aren't perfect. Weather fronts, good or bad, change environments, so you can't always maintain control. Thats why I like 76F, 74F, and 48RH. It has wiggle room.
Thank you @Gee64 and Merry Christmas to you and your family!Merry Christmas my friend
Isn't that exactly what your experiment showed with your dolo water container? 45 ppm to 90 iirc.Thats the only thing I can think of, so prilled, which is toughted to be fast acting, must have some slow release in it too.
I think that's what Rob was getting at, and yeah that appears to be what is going on.Isn't that 3xactly what your experiment showed with your dolo water container? 45 ppm to 90 iirc.
I a some what familiar with brix idea, I have been skimming y'all's convos recently (no lurking I swear) about brix and I'm curious, what exactly is it measuring,? I believe I understood that it's sugar that it's measuring ? Somehow high glucose correlates to a resistance to most bacteria and pests ? Or only specific pests. How can brix be high in a plant like the pics you showed ? Especially the shriveling leaves ? Cant a plant have high sugar and not be growing optimally ? Or unhealthily ? Or does brix represent a resistance only but not metabolic health ? Idk if I'm saying this tight lol can a plant in a too hot environment still have high brix ? Can a damaged plant have high brix ? What system or aspect of plant does brix represent? Sorry to machine gun guysI'm not familiar with that brand but unsulphured BSM is the right stuff.
Do you by chance have a refractometer? That's the best way to tell if the things you do have a positive, negative, or no effect. If brix moves you had an effect, hopefully the move is a rise. It's a great way to track progress.
You can't see brix unless it gets really high so visually looks can be deceiving. I've had beautiful gorgeous vibrant green plants with low brix and yellowing tattered plants with high brix. As I found out with RVDV, you can have a plant that eats every leaf like she's dying for some nitro, yet she is brixing over 20, and on one day in late veg she actually hit 26. She was an ugly tattered best with no perfect fans.
Look at her ugly leaves and immature red pistils. She looks like pests, hermies, and starvation are rampant, yet upon analysis she was the best plant I've ever grown. Looks can be deceiving.
I never got a pic of the 26 but here is a 22-ish on the same day as the last pic. I struggled to find a leaf to brix.
As for Megacrop, I've never used it. I'd love to see how it brix's out tho.
Merry Christmas!
I think in the most recent Rev book he suggests dolo water at 50ppm every watering. It's been a while since I read it so I'll have to go back and reread.I think that's what Rob was getting at, and yeah that appears to be what is going on.
I never thought of ppm'ing it after mixing as I only really mix it, use it all, and then hopefully never need it again.
Sometimes I use it more than once in a grow, but it's usually a month or more between, so having it build up in the soil has never crossed my mind until you figured it out, so this is excellent info for those using it regularly.
I wouldn't go over 30ppm if I were using it every couple of weeks, now knowing what I do.
Learning never stops
