I wonder if toggling more light on and off at set intervals, say 1 hr at 50%, then back to 25, or wherever you started for a couple hours, repeat, repeat.... may stimulate the rootball to grow faster.

This sounds promising. I can see it stimulating excessive root growth in attempt to catch the window of high intensity.

Can someone a bit cell phone savvy please help me out here.

This is from my $50 webcam.

The webcam is how it actually looks, but the cell phone goes all blurple. Its gotta be a setting, I'm guessing. Any idea how to get the phone to photograph what the eye sees?

Gee, what phone is it? Have you got a white balance option in your settings... if you have, click through your options and see which one looks best. The camera is reacting to the kind of light that the camera is reading. In the article, the photographer gives an explanation of how white balance works. It's well worth a read. this is what the writer says: "I generally set my white balance to Auto and neutralize (or not) in post processing."

Ok so 2 notes of interest..

1. Never trust a webcam - There was no mag def, it was the lighting.

2. Gee's theory that freshly exposed foliage under LED may cause a mag def is Horse-hockey!. Yes thats with a capital H.

The plant has rebounded from the weedeater incident impeccably! I guess it wants to flower.

Its not quite praying yet but its happy.

The clones in soil and a garbage bag are in fine shape after 56 hours without spray or fresh air.

Today is day 7 and 1 cutting has 2 very small roots starting. They should be big enough for a photo tomorrow.

The 12/12 babies are 9 days old now and looking very strong and happy.

The whorled phylotax has 3 leaves on node #2!👍❤️.

If the 12/12 thing shows sex early enough I will flower it without topping to see how bushy the main cola gets.

Maybe it should get its own journal. Kinda cool.

The only other one I ever had switched back to a conventional structure when I topped it the 2nd time.

Now I need to figure out white balance😓

I'm watching this closely!!!! :bravo:
The plot thickens...Dun Dun Dun!!

My pump sprayer was on a ledge at the side of my tent and when the fan kicked on and sucked the walls in, it knocked the sprayer off. It landed right in the middle of the open garbage bag of soil clones.

None broke but about half got bent right over. I suspect they will be fine.

We shall see tomorrow.

Stupid Gee! Stupid!! Doh!!

How is the chili doing?

Definitely. First off it is going to be interesting to see what she does, and secondly the site only allows set journals into the monthly comps. Perpetual grows will not be considered. You have so much of value to offer us and I think that's what would make it a champ grow for us to follow.

🤣 this pleases me in a self validation kind of way. Every single grow I do something foolish.. I’ve dropped solo cups from feet in the air. I’ve fallen off balance and kicked a plant. I’ve moved too quickly and slammed into the light. I’ve dropped the humidifier into the middle of the room, knocked over the humidifier, knocked over a table, it doesn’t seem to end 🤣

One things for sure though.. the plants are incredibly resilient and can handle quite the physical shock

Haaaa!!! You guys haven't seen nuffin' until you've seen the destruction I can cause!!! My shop becomes a complicated set of dominos and once it's all in motion - just stand back!!! This could take awhile!!! Anybody remember that scene in "Money Pit" Tom Hanks/Shelley Long??? The scaffolding collapse?? Like that!!! :thedoubletake: :hmmmm::rofl:

The babies appear to like the swick jars.
At 10 days their size is a fine and they have roots popping out the bottoms on all 7. I need a plan real quick for them.

Also a 3rd bubble clone has roots now. So thats 3 of 6 in 8 days. Hopefully I get the other 3 soon.
Is the wick coiled on the whole bottom of the cup, or layed over and filled on? How many inches do you think are in there?
