Loving your work mate :) the goldmine is sure one pretty lady :) I love the sound of your next run :) sativas are my favorite for sure :) oh and perhaps you could pm that barbie pick :) the mods can't stop BARBIE spreading her stoner love :cheer::circle-of-love::Namaste::passitleft:
Yea i love them sativas too. If i ever have a daughter im going to name her Sativa lol. Im anxious to try some fully ripe sativa this time. My first grow i think i harvested everything a couple weeks too early :cheesygrinsmiley: still working on my patients lol.
Sorry for the slow response to you having out some pics of Barbie back up. I saw her legs in one pic earlier so I was thinking she might be back from Hawaii, lol. Man I had to REALLY lol when I read your caption with her and the joint, that was WAY too funny. Then the red eyes, that was totally funny. I'm sure glad we will probably never meet up with each other. Also that we don't live close to each other as well. I'm afraid if we really knew each other or lived closed to each other we would both be in a lot of trouble, haha. I know im a nut, but I'm glad to say you're a NUT as well!!

Your plants are looking really good btw! I've grown some really big monster plants with high yields in the past. But, becuase of the way youre growing yours out shorter and not as big of yields, I'm actually going to do that with some of mine as well. I like the idea of not having to really spend as much time as I did with the larger plants and maybe just go for the smaller ones even though the yield will be smaller. I figure just grow a few more at a time to make up the difference. The larger plants in hydro for me were very labor intense once flower started. So I'm enjoying watching you grow the way youve been doing things on your end. Thats one of the best parts about this website. That is you can take bits and pieces away from what you read from others. All in all I believe it makes for a better grower!! Have a good one and keep those Barbie pics with the captions coming as they are wayyyyyyyy toooooo funny!!
Yea Jimmy i think i would be classified as a nut too lol :goof:. I like growing many different strains because it seems after smoking the same thing for a while my body get used to it or something and the buzz isnt as good. Its good to switch it up every week or so. Maybe its all in my head lol. Plus the only way i get to try all the different types of weed is to grow it myself. :passitleft:Haha, these are just a few of my excuses for growing lots of weed.

I am reading up on terpenes a lot lately and how their effects can make our THC experience very different. Like d-limonene having an anti anxiety effect. All these terpenes operate by smell. Which is why I started the black pepper thread. The smell of the terpenes in black pepper reduces anxiety from smoking.

Haha so where is this stoner going with this?? I think we get tolerance to THC of course but THC is in all strains. So I think what causes strain specific tolerance is getting nose blind to the terpenes of that strain. If I have been smoking a lemony strain quite a it it is probably wise to switch to a berry or sandalwood smelling strain.

It's like being in a room with a bunch of oranges. You can keep adding oranges and will go nose blind to them. But bring a steak into the room and it is a sensory explosion.

I totally agree shiggs. Your right they all have thc so it must be something else. The nose blind theory makes sense to me. I think that is why people say that synthetic thc (marinol) does not work as well as natural marijuana. Its just pure thc where Marijuana has so many different molecules working together that they will never be able to reproduce it in a test tube. Too bad pharmaceutical companies. You cant make billions off of this plant.

wow those tops are so swell it looks like they've been back builded :laughtwo:

i cant help but wonder how fat they'd get if you backbuilded them :hmmmm:
they are pretty dope looking nevertheless :) great gardening :Namaste:

Your right brother they do look like they are backbuilt. they are smelly and sticky as hell too. Cant wait to smoke me some. I ran out of weed yesterday so im gonna have to wait until i harvest something to get high again. Im not doing any more sampling either. Half the Acapulco gold was gone by harvest time due to over sampling lol. I lost alot of weight and then i harvested too early on top of that. Ill just have to pretend im smoking some weed now. Here ya go :passitleft:

i know what you mean by over sampling

last winter after i tried a sample i was stoned out of my mine, i also was out of product so i kept snipping day in and day out small amounts just to get by.

by the time i harvested them all lower bud sights were gone, as if i had lolipopped them

hang in there bud, it gets better ;)

i reckon i should have put these pics at the beginning of the journal but better late then never.
I use this oil heater with the thermostat set on 1 and it keeps the room at 70F at night. The humidity been steady around 30%. I put a piece of tape over the red power light and thats it.

This is my ventilation system. I cut a bunch of holes in this bucket and just set the inline fan on top. When the smell get bad I just switch out the bucket for the 4" carbon filter in the corner.

I taped another bucket to the bathroom exhaust vent on the ceiling with some aluminum tape. I use a chain hooked to a couple nails in the wall to raise and lower the light. I only put two holes in the wall with this setup. I use alot of tape instead of making holes.

This is the homade light trap i been using to keep the light from coming in under the door. its just a piece of cardboard with aluminum foil taped to one side to reflect the heat back from the oil heater.

Thanks Shiggs. Yea its just an old shower cutain with a bungee cord holding up the 4 cfl light fixture for some side lighting. Its adjustable and i try and keep it within an inch of the plants. So far everythings been workin great.

+reps brother, excellent update :thumb:

What up Lex Luther :cheesygrinsmiley: the light is a mars II 400 watt with the veg/flower switches. You have the reflector right? Ive been really happy with these led lights. You cant go wrong for the money. I keep mine around 16-18" above the canopy.
