Nick, I think a version of your cryocure device already exists. Freeze driers are commercially available. They remove the water by reducing the temperature (don't remember the exact temp) and then reducing the pressure to sublimate the ice that was formed. This leaves only unfrozen water molecules. Then they do some more temp/pressure manipulations and voila very dry material. However typically I think they would dry the weed too much under thier normal processing conditions. There has to be a way to keep the equilibrium water level in the plant where you want to but I'm not an expert in this field so I don't know the details.
