Day 34 in the 10gal, Day 47 since sprouting. Still no hint as to what the sex is but zoom in on those roots.

The bottom half of the pot has root tips poking through everywhere. Myco has fully infested my swicky pad, Its permamently atrached now.

I added dolomite water to the reservoir at 50ppm and now I am showing a slight bit of excess nitro.

Magnesium had it locked until the dolomite water released it all at once in a rush.

The plant looked cold so I put a heat mat under the reservoir to warm it. The soil was only 62 degrees.

Swicky pad seems to be working😎

The wife crochets these for me out of really absorbant synthetic wool. 9 wicks.

The wicks hanging off the bottom are of a diameter that they fit inside an 8 litre/2 gal pail.

The pail fits under a milk crate

the wicks hang in like this

Here is it going with RO now underneath and Dolomite bubbling in the front to swap in. Both buckets are on a heat mat.

The connection point. The mat is attached to the pot until harvest now.

Azi you should build a sip in a clear pot that sits inside a dark one so you can pop it out to watch the roots form.
That's exactly what I do do. I use clear 9oz solo's inside opaque ones and clear 1L take-out containers inside of opaque yogurt containers.

I did them that way so I could learn how the roots and the water reservoir interacted and it was how I tracked the progress of the transition period.

Got any pics? please.please.please.please!

I'm going to think the wick start in solo's is the way to cheat the two week adjustment @Gee64 . Nice! You're cutting the cup? How'd you get the cup off and have no wick in the pic? Wick sits on the very bottom of the cup? It doesn't have roots following it?
If you take the seedling out about 13 days the roots are not yet into the wick, just circling around it.

I let one purposely stay in the solo and it grew a taproot into the wick and down to the res. Its looking very sad.

If I choose to uppot that one I will have to cut the cup and plant the wick. You can't get the roots out.

At 2 weeks in the 10 gal pot I had roots poking out the bottom all the way around.

I would guess a sips pot would be similar inside. If we only had a picture....

To hang the wick in the solo cup I melt a hole in the center of the bottom with my soldering gun, then tie a big knot in one end of the wick to sit at the bottom of the cup and pull the wick thru the hole to hang down. They fit perfectly in canning jars.

Here is the finished product. This one is 6 weeks old and stunted. It sold its body to science.

I added 50ppm dolomite water to this sprout and it greened up but still looks way overwatered.

Its hard to focus the camera thru the jar but you can see the roots down into the res.

I want them long enough to reach the bottom of a 10gal before uppotting to see how that works.
