The Emerald City

HiJack Auto, Day 76 from seed. I was reading up at autoseeds.com and it says this plant should be harvested between 70 & 80 days. My limited experience has me thinking more like 83-88. Have a look and let me know your thoughts.

I’m inclined to agree... but first, ...

ok. - yes when there’s still that many fresh pistil hairs popping out I am always inclined to wait. It is very very close tho! Could be only days, could be a week. I’d say it’s almost in the ‘personal preference’ window ;)

It’s nice to be around your lovely garden again Age :thumb:

Hey y'all, we are officially at 81 days. I see some changes but not much, I'm thinking that this lady is in her prime. I'm channeling Tom Petty.

I chopped the six tallest tops and left the lowers hanging on for another/ few more day(s). In the mean time pot was feeling light so I gave two gallons of ninja juice with 2 TBS CalMag per gallon.

The Amnesia Haze has really taken off since I dropped her into the 5 gallon. I've got some ideas about her future, she was topped once, pics of her this week too.

I'm off to smoke some scissor hash!

Ive been growing Autos for a minit now. Love’em! Most seem like light feeders. Nice to know 3 months from seed, roughly, and BAM Harvest time!

Amnesia Haze is cruising along, shes in a 5 gallon container now, i kept her in a 1 for a bit... Growth spurt, shes about a week older than the HiJack Auto. Im thinkin trans feed for a week then flip. Shes about 3’ tall including container. I added a scrog to my flower tent.

Heres some pics of the harvested tops and Amnesia Haze.

Any poniters on scroging Doc, this’ll be my first real attempt?

Update: The HiJack Auto lives on. I got about a jar’n’half of buds so far. Taster set aside and will prolly smoke later today. This is whats left of her.

Now the Amnesia Haze, her first 12 hours were last night. Officially Flip Day 1. Scrogged for stretch and we wait.

Looking good! I just keep pushing the branches under out from the center for about the first 10 days of stretch or so then let them go vertical. Be sure to get airflow under the canopy cause it’ll get a bit dark, hot and humid under there.

Does your net stretch? I found the elastic net to be a bit easier in the long run, especially at harvest time, but I don’t think it makes a huge difference.

The net is stretchyish, it's not elastic though. I used zip ties to fasten it to the corners they slide easy enough. I don't anticipate having to cut the net but it's cheap enough.

I'm back for more Age! Love the partial harvests and miss the pool table. :ciao:

Hey Shed, I got the rest of the plant cut down, and it's drying now, no pictures. Had it in the jars a bit too early, aired it out for a few hours and I've rejarred with hydrometers. Then I'll seal it up for a few months.

I'll get you some pics of the flat top soon enough.

I broke the scrog yesterday, but not the plant... A step in the right direction! Anyhow, I got another net fitted in there. The plant has been super thirsty so I up potted from a 5 to a 7 gallon. Didn't seem to matter so I cleaned the catch basin and filled with water. Plant is looking super 24 hours later (today) but I'm thinking I'll have to feed again tomorrow.

The life of an indoor grower.

These pics from yesterday.

I went through the canopy this morning and did some thinning. I'm not at Doob Status yet but I'll get there. Pics to prove it. Also, the watering technique I'm going with for the rest of flower. Its looking like 2 gallons of feed spread into two feedings on one day, morning then evening and a gallon in the rez the following day will allow me to go a couple of days without looking (or to get outta town). This means the upcoming RV trip will be just enough time to test my findings. I also have time to test before we bail. I love it when a plan comes together! We are officially at day 12 post flip, another week of stretch please.

Check out the area below the canopy and above the container. MORE LIGHT!!!!

The best is yet to come, Stay Baked!

Hey Age! :ciao:
I'm slowly getting caught up on journals - been a rough month for me. I continue to be amazed at the Hijack Auto, such large and beautiful buds! :adore:
Amnesia Haze is shaping up nicely. I tried growing the auto version of AH earlier this spring, but I messed up the seed planting and the sprout died on me. Was the only seed I had of it in the auto version. I've got a couple photo versions and will definitely be putting in my Spring lineup for next season.

I thought i replied here sorry Beez. The auto is chopped and jarred. Super stoney, super fresh, so nice! We RV’d as a family to the beach. Was a great time, family glamping trip!

Fed the AmHaze the day befor we left and gave a gallon of water ovrrnight. Topped up right before we left. She was thirsty when we got back and soaked up another gallon in under 24 hours. Ima feed her later today.

Heres some pics from before we left.

And some from yesterday after she got herself all full up on some fresh h20.
