What's up y'all, here's the flower tent update, I've got 10 in there right now, I'm still a little stoned from last night. I had a brownie and then smoked Mercedes and Jane until midnight, I guess I started 10-17 just right. Anyways... I've started using Terpinator and I swear the nugs are more frosty than usual for this time of flower. They just look like a snow storm dumped crystally goodness all over them. I've got plants in every stage of flower right now. One plant is 10 days from harvest, another 17 days, then another 1-2 weeks behind that one, you get the picture... In 10 days the SOG is gonna start to roll in with steady waves of Dieselly Lemon Goodness.
I've been keeping it real simple with the plants and trying to at least get them a bit on each others schedule. Ya know, so I'm not having to feed water every single day? It's working, on Sunday all I did was look at the girls and do some light rearranging and cleaning. I'm definitely refining my techniques. I've decided to add Cal-Mag, Diamond Nectar, and Armor Si to my standard watering. And when I feed Veg it's just the Flora Nova Grow. I've noticed that the WPM is getting worse since I've stopped using the Armor Si, although the weather is changing and it does feel a bit more humid in the garage.
Also, I've abandoned the idea of doing a straight comparison of the Timber vs. the Cheap Chinese LED's. Why not utilize both? It drives the temps up in the tent to 87 if I run both lights with the tent zipped. A bit warm, so I alternate keeping one on and one off. They are catty-corner from each other, and I can get the tent down to 82 with just one. The ladies seem to like the warmer temps, but that gets me in there watering and feeding more often. I've been trying to set it up where I'm only playing in the flower tent every 3-4 days. 82 isn't too hot is it?
I've gotta admit, having several plants in flower at the same time gets me mixing feed and such a lot more often. I've started keeping specific containers of the most popular mixes in the fridge for easy access. Water with the mixture I was talking about, Basic Veg with no additives, and some of the bloom too. I looked a little closer at the different mixtures, from week to week, for the bloom feedings and there really isn't too much difference, so I'm fudging the feedings a little bit. I'm moving toward not being so anal and by the book about the plants, I'm paying more attention to them than the suggested chemistry sheet...
Here's the pictures, maybe not as many as you'd like to see, but here's a good idea of what's in the flower tent right now.
Cinderella is just getting her second set of leaves and stretching a bit. I topped up the soil in her cup yesterday.
These are all 818 Headband with the exception of the Red Solo Cups. In case you haven't heard about the Red Cup Challenge, you should check it out. We're gonna be starting a new challenge in Mid January. Auto's in Solo Cups, from start to finish.

Looking great! I don't think 82 is to hot. That's about were my girls like it also. If I get down in the 70's their not as happy so I keep mine on 81 or 82. You are gonna have alot of harvesting coming up lol, that's a good thing though lol. I add calmag to my feedings also. It will be nice when you harvest a couple different strains lol, you will have a variety to choose from and won't have to smoke the same strain all the time lol. Keep doing what you have been cause they are loving it.

I walked in last night and the girls were having a concert for J8! They know she won't be around for much longer...

BIG NEWS FROM THE EMERALD CITY!!!!!! I gotta male. So i'm in the garden doing pictures and stuff and roll into the office to check out my pics. Looking Looking Looking, HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!
I realized that while I was feeding today I had done some pruning and through the clippings in the trash. I bolted the the garden and quickly grabbed the clippings that had been in the rubbish for about 3 hours and put them into some water. I was just about the harvest one of my plants so I kept on with that and left the 'clones' in the water, it only took a few minutes and those leaves were perky and happy again. I finished harvesting (I'm guessing 3/4 oz dry), and moved on to the little dudes. I put one into my bubble cloner and three into 2 liter containers. I also move the big dude back into the veg tent, hopefully he'll revert back into veg and/ or I'll get a couple of the trashy clones to root. Fingers crossed... pun intended

As far as traits and qualities I've got a solid strain of 818 as well as Candy Land. I'm still searching for a nice BB to clone from. Since I've got a nice healthy male I'll keep and clone him for now. I'm following the basic ideas of genetics and selective breeding. I have a real nice Haze Extreme that, IMO, is picture perfect. I'll have to profile her later today with some pictures.
I looked at horticulture apps a while back and couldn't find anything that really worked for me. Maybe I'm a bit old school, but between this and my note cards I'm solid. I truly believe a large part of this hobby is experience based. I can read about good habits and practices but until you've struggled with something like WPM or other issue, you're just taking advice from various sources and then trying to find what works. I'm all for helping each other out, but my Grow Room is different from yours and yours is different from theirs, etc.
Anyhow, I'm looking for uniform growth, tight node spacing, and a strong immune system (not too picky a plant). Once the plants go to flower I can look further into the traits of the plants.
I'm looking for seeds so I can then reduce my number of plants and do small scale crosses from clones. Once I've found a couple of clones that produce the F1's I'm looking for then I can go large scale and do a large crop just for seeds and schwag trim for edibles and joints...
Phase 2, find a male, complete. Unfortunately I'm still on Phase 1 making room in the flower tent. I'll be harvesting another plant next Wednesday, that will open up some space in flower tent. Slow and steady wins the race, I'll be harvesting a third plant 3 weeks form today then I will have lots of room in there. My Xmas SOG is rolling, I should be harvesting plenty of weed between now and Mid-December. My friends are going to be getting some dank xmas presents! and prolly edibles too...

Sounds perfect! Did you know Age that candyland is my absolute most favorite all time strain?
A local guy grows it and through a middle man I get some of the very little overage now and then and I can't find anything like it.
I can't get him to give me a cutting yet, I don't think said middle man is happy with me becoming my own family's caregiver lol... maybe one of these days I'll talk him out of one.
Meanwhile, That's why I went with the Ocean Grown dark plasma because the parentage is similar but it's highly hybridized and I'm not sure how stable so I'm looking for a lot of variation. Its not the platinum cut but the forum cut an its father is an Obi-Wan OG male rather than the... GDP in cadyland I think?
I might even keep a couple of moms of different phenotypes not even thinking about males yet at this point but really excited to see what you're doing over here for sure.

Well I lost my phone last night and the nice people that found it took their sweet time about getting back to me. That being said I have my phone back. My electronic leash has a firm hold on me again, I'm traceable, trackable, and easily spied upon.

It was the original Android G1 that got me into software development in the first place!
I used to build high-end computers (still do) and I just could not believe that I had a full Linux computer in my pocket.
Now I need it with me all the time because it answers all the questions that I can't remember the answers to lol
And all seriousness though there is no stronger tool in my opinion than the interwebs....The information and experiences that are shared because of those friendships has become invaluable.

I'm gonna be cuttin Jasmine later today, it'll be a small yield but the buds will be top quality smoke. My SOG is rolling in this is the second wave, the next one will be in a couple of weeks. I'll get you guys some pics in a while.
News on the male, I've made some clones and they're looking good! I put the father outside and he's doing well, and I'm considering trying to do some pollination outside however I'm gonna have to hire a new pool guy and I'm not sure about him knowing about my hobby. Not like I know if the current one would care either, but he no speekadeeinglish... Anyways, I've got clones hopefully they'll go into veg and then I can do some more controlled stuff.
