Update on my grow.

All plants are 26-28" which ain't all that bad for 10 days in flower. This strain can grow vertical for another two weeks but it looks like it may stop around double or a little more. That I can handle!

They are spreading out almost if not more than growing up. I have resorted to netpot tipping on the bp tank and tying the soil plants off in sort of a sideways LST. Cup hooks screwed into the walls and tie off a plant portion to it with some help twine. Looks like I'm going to fill that 4'x4' space with 6 plants. Think I did too good of a job on coaxing some side grow tips to the canopy! LOL! I have some 18" side branches!

In general things are running smooth. That always freaks me out! They are dropping leaves a little more than my liking. I could adjust the nutes a little to help but I'm not losing anything the plants aren't using and they are growing well so I'll leave them alone. This is especially true on the soil plants. Next watering by Fox Farm's schedule includes some Grow Big (supportive N in this case) so that will help. I'm flying on gut instinct and some basic instructions and figured I yell if I get in trouble.

I have 7 of 9 (unintentional Star Trek reference) plants for the next grow up and growing strong. 2 more are in the domed flat and saw their first light tonight. Line up will be 3 - Jack Herer, 2 - Cream Caramel, 2 - The Kali, 1- Bllue Widow, and 1 - White Widow. Why do I do these things to myself! LOL!

I don't think I'm going to let this batch veg to more than 10". It's my only hope of being to transfer all of them to the upstairs flower room. I may have to resort to sending them to flower in the veg room. I have a 250 hps bulb so I'll use it when the time comes and finish them under the 400 for the important last 3-4 weeks. That way I can then start some new seeds at that point and get back on schedule. Could be I'll take some clones from a potential good Mom and just screw myself up again! LOL!

Its 2 tablespoons as a preventative and 3 tablespoons as a fix if you start to have an algae problem. That's what I've always read and been told. That is definitely a typo, I think Rose will confirm that. Also if you are using to kill an algea problem, you must add it every watering, as it dissipates rather quickly.

If you are only chilling your res once a day, you will probably continue having he same problems with algea. Expecially with a 6 gallon res., I am using a 4 gal. with three gals. of water in it and change out 1 gallon 3 x times. When the lights come on, mid-day and then just before lights go out. My temps. stay between 64 to 68. :lot-o-toke:

If you've got a gel your better bet would be to change your reservoir, let you plants have a little air bath, and clean the reservoir.

Peroxide is a good preventative but once it's already alive it's best to run

 Trust me Soniq, I'm a running!
Wanna know something scary? I remember seeing that movie in a theater! :yikes:

LMAO! That is hilarious!
Burple you better be ready the next time you check your rez!

I'm ready! :cheesygrinsmiley:
I'd be REALLY worried if what was in my res looked like the blob though! :yikes:

:rofl::rofl::rofl: Runnnnnn!!!

Yep, clean everything.

Burple, I like this method for algae - 8 Step Remedy

Thanks Green, I was looking for the link to that!

I did the change and added the 3 tbls per gallon like you said.:thanks:

I wish I could do the chill routine more than once a day, but I share a house with another person, and I can't take up all the space in the fridge, and there's NO space in the freezer.
Yesterday when I did the D&R, I mixed 6 gallons on nuted, PH balanced water and stuck them all in the fridge (it was a tight fit), and had to listen to complaints all the while they were in there.
My temps have been in the 64 (right after chilling) to 76 (just before).
I know 76 is a little high, but there's really nothing more I can do short of buying an air conditioner for my tent or chiller for my res.
I really don't know what I'm gonna do when I add more lights!:yikes:

Anyway just as an update, I did the D&R last night, and I scrubbed the hell out of the res, air stones, air lines, and the temperature sensor line.
I used a really stiff brush on the stones (I had little blue chips on my hands), but there was still discolored spots on both stones.
When I plugged everything all back up, I noticed that there was bubbles only coming out of half of the 12 inch stone, so I am going to replace them, get a bigger air pump (with 2 outlets), and add another stone or 2.
Hopefully that will help.

Thanks again everyone for all your help! :thanks:

:tokin: Sounds like you have a handle on it. Do your roomies partake of the crop? If they do I would tell them to suck it up. LOL A water chiller will for sure be my next investment. After Hid lights of course. :lot-o-toke:

I would have to have a crop first! :biglaugh:
But no can't partake due to too many random drug tests - my housemate works in a hospital!

Well day seven from soak and I had roots hit the water today!!!

Two are showing, One's a runt. One has a root out of the basket and one has 6 roots IN the water already and it just started it's second set of leaves.

Strains

Northern Lights - roots out of the basket

Power Kush - 6 roots already IN THE WATER

Lemon Skunk - slow going, slow to pop, slow to grow, no visible roots yet

pH - 6.0 - 7.0 I let it take a long drift this time.... Seems to have worked nicely.

ppm - 220-245

Temp - right around 75*

Lighting - 6 4ft. T-5 Assembly.

Just 1 ml. of superthrive in the 6 gal of water.

Very happy with my growth so far, hopefully they keep it that way.
