yea dont be too worried just yet my brotha. if your plant gets limp and droopy your in trouble. stiff and droopy you have time but when u wiggle a leave and it flops around THATS usually a good time to worry. your leaves may have a defiency but they can be fixed, the leaves wont fix but the plant will sort itself out and show in the new growth

hey ncdude, your rez is also having a ph problem?

253, I have not read all the threads on your' post, I just glanced thru...I went to my fav hydro store here (there are two others) to buy the components for couple of bubblers similar to yours'...the guys told me that I'd have ph problems with small reservoirs, and you have to adjust often (one of the other stores carries them as kits). They wanted to set me up with a 10 gallon rez, but I'm in an apartment, and dealing with gallons of water won't work...

Thanks

whoa he said that? ive never had a ph problem. my ph goes up .3-.4 a day and its easy to control it.. maybe it fluctuates more than soil but its not hard to control ph in a 5 gallon.. in fact it takes WAY less ph down and ph up to raise the levels so u save on nutrients since their on a "per gallon" or "per litre" dosage

Thanks for your reply! You never know, they arent experts....

haha and im far from an expert. but they have nutrients out there that have ph perfect buffers. some say they keep your ph where it needs to be. id go for a small rez if your on a budget. their easy to maintain

i upped each rez today. the White Widows at 680 ppm, White Russian #1 is at 618 ppm, and my White Russian #2 578 ppm

ALL of them are handling it real well.

i dont know how her leaves got that big and bushy. i looked at your white widow when yours was in mines stage of veg and yea they look real similar must be of the same pheno. what seed bank is yours from? and another thing, how did yours smell through veggin? when i poke my head in the grow closet i can smell her taking over the room. sometimes the fan blows a whiff to me when im layin in bed. its pretty nice, this smells pretty dang good for a vegging plant.
how long did you veg for?

ive been reading this thread for a few weeks now to get setup for my first grow and ive been in and out of hydroshops for answers and questions.

i can tell those guys needed the money lol. they're all like "no don't buy the $4 dollar bucket with a $2 lid, come buy our aeroponic set-up that we charge $120" i dont think ph will be a problem. ive looked through a few small bubble bucket journals and im taking note that any rez smaller in size is easier to handle and maintain. if i were you id ask those guys your theory PH problems in smaller resevoirs. id be offended if i was being possibly suckered into false information.

hey 420ladybud! youve been lurking my journal for a few weeks now. i was going to PM you and tell you to comment sometime. youve been liking my journal alot but not commenting.

well i noticed this is your first post:welcome: to :420: i hope you stop by more in the future

and as for your comment...your pretty much right. i mean sometimes i wake up and my ph has gone up .2 points from 5.6-5.8. ive never seen it fluctuate more than that over night in a while. smaller rez's save $$$$$$$$$ in nutes ALOT OF FREGGIN $$$$$$$$

ph is easy to control in my rez. i add 4-5 drops of ph down in my rez to drop it .2 points. i have the same ph down bottle from my last grow. all together has lasted me 4 months of PHing down. some big rez grows ive seen have used 1/4 of their ph down in almost a week or more.

Upper and lower family shots. im running out of space with the white widow there in the left corner to tie her down. i mean im sure i can figure something out but each day i lose space. the White Russian#1 in the middle is really starting to show alot of growth in the last 48 hours.

My White Russian#2 is being tied down again now that shes had at least a week in her new environment a week and some odd days.

White Widow stats: LST early on, fimmed 8-10 times on different growths
White Russian#1 Topped 2 weeks ago, Fimmed 8-10 times on different growths
White Russian #2 ONLY LST

They look great. How much longer are you going to veg them?

thats something i need to spend more time thinking about. well i originally wanted to bloom these things once they hit a foot and a half-2 feet. Now ive decided to tie them down with LST and top and fimm them i dont see any point to measuring their height.

ill more than likely start blooming in 2 weeks. i want them to get a bit bigger with more branches reaching out before i force flower these girls.

That will give them time to recover from any of the top or FIM cuts you have made on them. :goodjob:

White Widow (LST and FIMMED) PPM 745 PH 5.5 The 3rd and 4th pics are the close ups of the FIM i did. i got 3 out of one on alot of them but for a few i got 2. the last one are of the roots and i cant believe how quick they grow. the b-52 i feel is really helping root enhancement for them

White Russian#2 (recent LST no TOP or FIMM yet) PPM 720 PH 5.6 this one is taking off a bit slower but i can see her starting to bush out real fast these last 48 hours so i did a little test and put a larger dosage of nutes to see how she reacts to them. ill see her in 5 hours they went to sleep an hour ago and if her leaves look like their not liking the feeding ill re do her rez. i get the feeling sh can handle it and if she can they all get upped another 100 ppms because they seem to thrive at high ppms so far
