I think it may be time to chop Her soon. Today i'm going to check the trichs. They should all be cloudy w/ some amber. I'll know definetly tonight, yesterday was the start of week 15((DAMN!!!)) If all is cloudy then I will throw her into the dark period along with no feeding, she hasnt been feed in the last 2 days, so this will be a nice drought period to really push her to the limits as shes' done already.This dark period should amber up those trichs just perfectly. Any oppinions?

SIDENOTE: I tasted the cola that broke off of her. She was so smooth, the taste is ver yvery distinct. The smell, smoke and the flavor going into and out of your mouth is perfectly the same. my wife said it tadsted like a sweet purfume..lol..then she caughed her lungs out..lmfao..now that was a sight..:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I've heard lately of not feeding / watering plants for a cycle before harvest, why and how does this work?

Wingman: the idea behind the drought period is you basiclly, you trick the plant into thinking that its the end of their life cycle, so what happens is any stored up nutrients are released and pushed outword. In turn forcing them to push potency and trichs more and suck up any moisture available weather your using hydro or soil. By having the plant releasing all of the moisture outword it will actually cut down on your drying time as well.. It a theory based on a study I quoted a few pages back. This study showed where scientist used a drought period and found the results that I have stated. I hope this helps explains the process a lil better.
 
So if you all recall I talked about the set up I was contributing to my sick friend. Here it is. I got it set up last night, after he got home. I hualed the cabinet and system to his house. Heres the picts of the cab. You'll all recognize it. I using it as a home for my dirty girls in my last grow. I had to leave the mylar on it. Unfortunetly, my extra funds are getting low so I'm having to take advantage of all my resources. Still gotta get him the fans and light as well as ducting. I've got the ducting and one fan covered. And thank god I left that mylar on in the cab. And now I got his system, pump and rez set up. And I gave him enough nutes for a couple grows. But he just wants to grow as he needs. So one cycle should fill his needs for a few months. Which is good so while he has some vegging he will be alright. Plus I have his back w/ his med situation. He's good for a few months as of last week. So now I gotta figure the light situation out and the I think the fan I got maybe powerful enough to pull out heat. I have a fan that may just work for the air coming in. I hope it will work, otherwise thats going to kill my budget. But hey at least he'll be 75% there. All else fails I guess we can settle on cfl's. the only issue is that it wont produce what he needs. So if he has to, then he can til I can get something worked out. Anyhow here we go with a few picts of the system:

Its the exact same system that I run, but with an upgrade that I envy. And the best part is I had all of this sitting around. Until My friend needed this I never thought of putting it together. Its been on the backburner for about a year now. Just didnt want to cut any of my cycles down to do it. But hey that taught me something. That it was ment to be, just not for me. Thank heaven for allowing me to be lazy..LOL..Anyhow I'm going to try my hardest to get him a light and fan. oh and I found an old tower that I had in the garage so maybe santa will be really good to him this year, and put a computer together for him. Its funny how we never realize what we have.
 
Sounds like ur real busy bro. Karma is a good thing and helping out a friend is always a way to bring good vibes. Congratz on ur M.O.M., I think I already said congrants but I can't remember. But back on the topic Thank you for all the advice and support through out my 1st grow.

Yeah its funny it actually worked out that way. But hey I guess it was meant to be.. LOL..My wife mentioned to me if I can make that out of spare parts around the garage, then why the hell cant I fix anything when she asks. I said shen you start growwing buds out her a*s then I'll jump on any project she wants..LMFAO..

Thanx Joe: The initial set up was great, but had to make some adjustments. Fortunetly the sprayers spray out 360 degrees, so the plants get a full watering in all positions. As far as spacing goes. Its perfect for a Sea Of Green style grow. I've got Nets with covers on them, so if we decide not to use any of the pods then it'll be cool. and hey for a free system not bad IMHO.

I bet your not going to let him run it wrong, and will constantly be giving advice over the first couple cycles. That my friend is worth a thousand hydro setups.
 
Oh no..Hes pretty sick bro. I'll be there everystep of the way. All he has to do is maintain it. I take him to the doc every week or two so I'll be down there often. And if all goes well and "Santa" is able to help get him that computer for christmas. Then he cans tart a journal and we can communicate w/ picts freely. And you all get to see his progress. His cuttings are rooted and just waiting to get the roots nice and thick, then its on. Well hopefully I can get a light in time if not, then CFL's will have to do til I can get the funds to get him a light. I know he would help pay for this set up, but he gets just enough to cover his bills and keep his fridge full. Not to mention all his hospital bills. But thank goodness he's got insurance from a job that he retired from. But hey I know karmas on his side and somehow everything will work out.
 
sorry I havent been around as much as I would like to Butcher. I was just reading the last few pages, congrats on MOM! and thats a great thing your doing for you bro. major props and Im sending him and yourself all the positive thoughts possible. you are a good man. keep on keepin it on. Pit

Gotta go w/ either House & Garden and DutchMasters. Those are 2 top quality products that have unbelievable cutomer service and products to back it. And then to top it off clean and pure. So the systems that you run w/ them aren't getting clogged or have some salt build up you cant see. Dont get me wrong I've got an arsenal of ohter nute companies in my cabinets. but those are 2 that I just cant choose between. I am running H&G in my System. But my mothers(soil) and DWC system get The dutch right now. You cant use H&G's Aquaflakes w/ DWC so thats where that works out. So At least I get the best of both worlds. :rasta:

And THANK YOU for stopping by. that L.A women is perfect for a SOG style grow.Her branching reminds me of my Bubba Ksuh. just wraps her branches around her stalk instead of growwing outword.I just hope she comes out as potent as DNA hypes her up to be. If so then i can see a fat SOG grow in my future.
