The Butcher Pride

Hope Butcher doesn't mind, but thanks, you just saved me some time and money with you're report on the auto lowrider AK47. :grinjoint:

smoke reports are nice to try to select from a bunch of strains you never had before, but be aware:

there are a lot of factors that go into taste/smoothness/potency/etc/etc. part of it is genetic for sure, but the other part is how it was grow, how it was dried, and how it was cured. . . this means that you can have the same strain from the same seed bank grown be two different people and one can be significantly better tasting, or more potent, or whatever.

I grew some LR#2's an they came out pretty good. . . thanks to the joint Doc, who developed the Low Ryder strain, and interest from the growing community, there has been an explosion of auto crosses coming out. seems almost every breeder has one or two. this is all due to the doc's hard work to stabilize that trait. . . now seed banks and little guys like me can use those genetics easily to make new autos.

I wouldn't discount them as a whole. But I am not claiming they are better either, just better for certain situations.

thanx for that input wheel.

After going thru "The 420fied Plan" (thank you 420fied), I think this next year for the early outdoor season I will be throwing some autos in the mix earlier durring the year. One of the spots thats been picked for this next year gets sun all day year around. So hopefully it will be a good spot for the autos. I figure 2-4 patches of 5-7 plants would be good. Now i just gotta pick out a good strong outdoor auto. Any ideas?ANYONE?

Hi Butcher, some great looking bud shots.
I only went back a few pages but man, some of those buds look like you dumped icing sugar on them, lol. I would want to sprinkle them on my cereal. Gonna take some time and read through your journal from the beginning.:nicethread:
reps for those frosty buds

did you flower them 20/4, 24/0 or 12/12?

Butcher, we kept thm under 24/0 for the 7 weeks we had them. We had PH problems, which we were unaware of, and probably over fertilized as well. But they still came out great. Yields were not large compared to "normal" strains, but nothing to turn our nose up at. I would say they are a great fit for somone just starting out, and for experienced growers who want a quick harvest while waiting on their normal strains.

I am very pleased with the AK47 x Hindu Kush and the Blueberry. The only other auto's we had were the AK47 originals, and given our experience level now, I would certainly recommend them as well.

i grew auto hindu kush, snowryder, LR#2, and auto Lemon Skunk. They were all ok, i think i could have grown them better. i think the Snow Ryder was my favorite of the bunch. i hated the LR#2 smell/taste, good thing i have about 200 LR2 seeds i don't ever want to grow. lol.

the SnowRyder was potent, extremely uniform growth, so they did a great job stabilizing these girls, they come in feminized, and they are on the cheap side compared with the two most popular autos, AK47 and NYC diesel.

the roadrunner strain looks awesome. . . i might try that.

Hay friend sounds like you plants are a Little ahead of mine....I'm in the 6th week and the ladies are still going through 30 gallons the last 2 weeks! They wont slow down still adding loads of new flowers out of the old flowers......

tell me about it bro..Man i cant wait to see how the Yeild turns out. I'll calculate everything once its all pulled and dried.

The rainbow kush is definetly showing her sativa side alot mere then ever. I know it had to be the L.L that brought her to flower so long. She always finishes with the bubba if not at the same time then a week later at the most. But this time it will be further down. So when i harvest i will cut the tops, then let the bottom growth thicken up and i think the rainbow kush should be done at that time. But damn the mother rainbow is just getting (((THICKER AND THICKER))).

As far as a update goes. I'm downsizing some phoos right now. I'll post em asap!!

:welcome:ok so heres the update. :grinjoint:These were takin right after the light turned on, thats why they may look a lil' droppy, anyhow;

:sorry: about the focus on this one but as you can see their all spitting out flowers still. This is from one of the tops. You can see the 3 points pushing new calyxes on the top instead of a traditional 1 tip cola. If that makes sense..I havent seen budding like this since i grew the TRAINWRECK back in the day:

Looks great that big tall one still has some weeks to go mine don't have any white hairs in them I'm waiting for some white color in the glands maybe a little amber........Your goina have a load of buds....what will you do....lol:grinjoint::rollit:

Its funny back in the day i would be saying "it's time to start moving this weight". BUT NOT ANYMORE!!! Just good old smoke for me and the wifey. It helps out alot. My marriage (not that there was anything wrong with it before..)has gottin better along with my pain. Less vicodin, no more worring about 5-0 rolling me for sales just, a good old boy wanting himself some nice medication. Its the guys like you and a few other retiries that make me just want to retire, chill, surf and sk8 my miniramp in the backyard.. But thats all down the road in it chosen time.

OldMedMan, I am still climbin trees at my "advanced" age...lol. I love the outdoors and don't let little things like pain or disability stop me..maybe slow me down a bit..but not stoppin.

Butcher, you gonna need to rent storage space with all them buds bro. As it happens...I know this great place here to store it..for a minimal charge <grin>. Way to go bro, you are going to have a great harvest!

very nice man, awesome buds!

Thanx man i cant wait to see how they turn out. But REally cant wait to see yours. There in darkness rightnow yeah? ANy how thatnx bud!!

You sure have alot of plants your taking care of! Must be a problem controlling bugs and stuff. Good job on balancing all that work.

No,, its not to bad. I'm a neat freak on the edge of O.C.D..Not really about the ocd thing, but i clean after everylittle thing is done in my growing enviorments.Thanx for stopping by. Almost harvest time, so you got here at the right moment!!

and sk8 my miniramp:ganjamon:
That's not retirement:surf:
My bones wouldn't take that:smokin2:
Smoke and relax, course that's the hardest thing about retirement, ya still want to do things. Remember my slogan. :ganjamon:

Sk8ing is 2nd nature to me. If i Dont its like not taking medication for an illness, I just dont feel right. it gives me a good workout without having to leave home. LOL..

LOL!! Cant wait for this harvest, My date is suppose to be tomarrow, but there definetly not ready.(SUX) But thats okay now its all about patients, and checking the trich counts. I'm telling ya, it had to be the Liquid Light pushing the harvest date so far back. The flowering period started the day i started this journal which was 8-22 and now its 11-03 thats 10 weeks and 3 days. There no way in hell the BUBBA would have taking this long, without the L.L. and the Rainbow kush isnt even close, it still has at the least 2 weeks. But even though this sounds like complaining its not. Longer flowering = more flowers!!!! And the Rainbow Kush is going to be just as hairy as the pict I took of the last harvest. (Its in the beginning of this journal) And i must say the 96' Bubba Kush is going to be just as tastie as the original pict in the beginning as well. thats whenever they decide to finish up..so for now its time to :bong:

How do the roots look? Root bound? Browninsh (root rot)? Bright white (healthy)? Is it possible that the labels were mixed up and what u though was Bubba is somethin else? Just tryna help figure this one out. I may have to read back and see what troubles u've had up until now that may have led to this. Pests and spraying did this (set plants back) to me.
