Mesrone Yeah you've been around for a while, THANX. And I definetly appericiate the support from everybody, thank you all. And yeah I'll get some shots of her as a whole plant later. I got side shoots all over the place on the mother rainbow. Since shes so large and the way shes postioned, lights getting through every nook and cranny.Even the bottom section of her is full of buds.
Plus i used a prunning tech that my O.g mentor taught me (RIP OLD MAN). Right before I set into flower i cut back every branch down to its node closest to the main stalk. This then will shoot out 2 budding sights, as well as keep the buds tight and uniform as possible. And with this it will push the energy into those sights rather then spreading it. So for every branch there will be 2 budding sights instead of 1. This tech works out the best in a S.O.G. And allows the growwer to get the plants bigger without comprimising light distribution. Plus it keeps plants more of a "cola" and makes them heavier then if they were to just prune back in the traditional way. But in the case of ms rainbow the Liquid Light caused her to stretch (((WAY))) more then expected. Shes a hard one to tame, but its getting done.
yeah 10 weeks outdoor that is. Clone to flower. the indoor usually take 8-10 weeks but again the Liquid Light pushed the flower date back a bit longer. and thats perfectly fine with me. More stretch = more budding sights = One happy ass butcher.
NE1FAJ: Thanx for stopping in. Yeah the ballast thing did suck, but it worked out. The cfl's are doing a great job of keeping the veg going. I opted not to use the light this round cause if i did the plants would have grown out their space this time around., so it worked out perfectly. I have a rainbow kush plant thats 28 inches at the moment and wont be going into flower for another 3 weeks at 1 inch a day of growth thats going to be another 21 inches then factor in the stretch. According to mother rainbow she started 28 inches I believe, and ended up touching the light(roughly 4 ft). So yeah those cfl's did the job perfectly. I'm just going to have to deal with some monsters this next round. But the plant numbers are going to be less, so it will be more workable with the ladies being so large.
