I just use a hair straightener.

I start with dry-ice sift, folded up in a little envelope I make from an empty teabag. Sandwich between parchment & squish.

Lol an here I thought I was the only one doing it this hillbilly way. What kind of hairstraightner do u use cause I got a super expensive one only to find out it wont go below 270°f but I dont barely get any thing to come out till I put it to 330°f but it ends up burning the shit. I barely get any return cuz I only take the middle stuff cause that's not burned an still super tasty lol. Even the side stuff that ends up burned still messes u up jus dnt taste as gud imo.

I use my wife's straightener, about a $60 deal... I think. It has ceramic plates, seems to work alright.

I started today with 3g kief, ended with 3 points of wax. Not sure how that yield compares to a press, but it fit my needs for now.

Actually funny, my wife hates that straightener and hopes I break that mofo so I'll buy her a new one. LoL. I tried my ass off! It held together... for now.

I figured my returns were pretty shitty. I never get a ton, just enough for a few good dabs.

That's why I save my pressed pucks to soak in everclear... after I save a bunch of "already squished pucks" lol

Lmao shit yea those bitches last forever it seems lol. How do u press urs do u jus use ur hands? I started out by putting mine on the ground and then putting a 2x4 over the top and stepping on the top of it then when I wasnt getting enough pressure I started using my table top vice and squeezing the shit out of it and started gettn better yields but still not as good as a real press. But one is in my future purchases I can see it now lmao.

What about some woodworking clamps? Some of them have some serious clamping pressure

I have trouble with my straightener wanting to slide, side-to-side. It will pop open the pouch inside. I can slowly get it squished flat/straight, with my hands, then I set it on the countertop (while keeping plates straight in my hand) and lean on it.

I've started using a silicon hot pad on the bottom side, to keep the straightener from sliding around on the countertops while I'm leaning on it.

That's what I did when I stood on mine lol. It's not the best way but it atleast works lol.
