The Blue Experience - Kharma Reborn

time for a bigger tent? Haha but seriously that light looks awesome, congrats man! Putting my sunglasses on, and hangin in the rays!
Thank you PJ. Unfortunately I have no room for anything bigger than a 4x2. But this tent is great. I can grow 2 plants side by side and it is 7 feet tall to deal with those crazy Sativas. lol

thats awesome! Same size as my closet almost, so did you plaster the light to the ceiling to see how she handles the intensity or ??

Oh no. Kharma is a pretty battle tested plant. I put the light right down at 20 inches above the canopy. So far she hasn't skipped a beat.

Holy cow that's bright! Penetration or no, I'd still do some leaf tucking in there ;).

Every time you tell me to tuck the leaves, I think "Fuck, I hate tucking leaves." But then I end up doing it anyway LOL

Wow those new cobs are amazing. Although I didn't understand a single thing, I do recognize the process from other DIY's as soon as I saw your pics. Kharma Reborn is a miracle, let's hope she puts out as much bud as she can in the short time.

I am still loving your poetry, or spoken word, organization and cool colours make this journal a pure joy to read. Or maybe it's because you're a fantastic guy overall, I am always wishing you the best. :hugs:

My Lady you have a way of just lighting up the world. Thank you for being so sweet and so kind. I'm hugging you back! :hugs::kiss::hugs:

As Kharma wraps up her first full day for getting a tan, I figured I would snap a few pictures.

She has already started praying to the light.

Tonight I will remove the moonshot just after lights out. I am going to remove all of the Wago Connectors and do a proper soldering job complete with shrink wrap on all the connections. Then I will feel safe. I will be sure to take plenty of pictures of the process.

As long as you don't feature the names of non-sponsor lights in the pics, they'll pass muster with the powers that be.
There is no problem with that at this point. Unless they want to count Digi-key, Home Depot, and Amazon as the brand. LMAO

i removed the moonshot from the tent right as Kharma was tucking in for a rest after getting microwaved all day.
Those damn Wago connectors I thought. Always on my mind.
I left the damn tent open all day because I was scared something was going to pop off, or fuck up in some way.
And leaving the house?
going out of town?
never.
not like this i'm not.

building the moonshot

Wago connectors are great. they are like tiny little electric boxes. And speaking of electric boxes, I am not responsible for anything that you do as a result of reading this post. It is Satire and shouldn't be taken seriously because although in real life, I am an electrician, here, I am Retrix and this is just entertainment.

Ok now where was I, The bottom line is I don't trust anything that isn't soldered so here we go:

A lot of people tell me that they are confused about how to wire up these lights. It does seem confusing at first but if you follow this simple rule of electrical work, it won't seem so daunting. Do one thing at a time. In fact that rule is applied when wiring a house and if you don't follow it during testing, you will fail. So that is what we are going to do here. Focus on one thing at a time. Look at this picture:

Before I go any further, I need to let you know that Red is always positive, but positive isn't always Red. And guess what? Black isn't always negative. actually it almost never is. Now that I have confused you, just call an electrician and be done with it. LOL. But wait, it gets worse. Black is usually positive when working with electrical wiring, but not always, sometimes white is positive and black is neutral. And all of this just sounds terrible and I know it is confusing but don't worry too much because the powers that define the electrical trade know this is confusing, that is why there will always be a nomenclature for any electrical equipment that you need to connect because it is the law. This will always tell you which wire is hot or positive, and which wire is negative, or neutral.

Look at these 2 pictures:

The first one is for my older Driver. Red is positive and Black is negative.
The second one is from the driver that I just ordered. On this one Brown is ACL which stands for alternating current live. The LIVE in this case means positive, or hot. And Blue is ACN which stands for alternating current neutral. See what I mean? Confusing as fuck. It's not just you @Lady G2HM

The other wires are for attaching a dimmer. I don't use dimmers. I run shit wide open all the time. So in this case I will not be discussing them.

Here is the wiring for my first driver. I am going to connect the Red which is positive to the positive wire of my first COB.

And now I'm going to connect the Black wire which is neutral, or negative to the negative side of my second COB

Now all you have to do is connect the Negative side of the first COB to the Positive side of the second COB and you have completed the circuit.

Here is the connection after I soldered it to the driver:

Now let's do the other side. Same thing, but different colors, just remember the key on the driver:

Easy as pie in the sky baby.

Now lets look at this clusterfuck:

Wago connectors everywhere and wires and wires all stuffed into that box just waiting for a short and fire to happen. Lets fix it.

Remember the rule. One thing at a time.

First, these wires are way too long and need to be shortened.

That looks better.

Now to sort everything out:

In this case, for the power, or input side, we are going to wire everything up one color at a time.
Yellow with a green stripe is our ground wire. We are going to gather up all of our ground wires and bind them together, Solder them, then shrink tube them and place a secure wire nut over all wires, including the ground wire to our plug. (the fan driver does not have a ground wire.)

Next, we are going to gather up all of the blue wires which in this case are Neutral or negative.
This time we will include the blue from our fan driver as well. Same procedure:

And also Brown which in this case is Hot or Positive:

And now all wires are Soldered and secured:

And now for the 4 Fans, our final Cluster of Fuckery:

Now with the fans, in this case I will be ignoring the blue and green wires because they mean something completely different than what we are talking about here today. On fans, these 2 wires are used for speed control which I will not be using.
Instead we will use the Yellow wire which is hot, or positive, or live, And Black which is Negative or neutral.
I forgot to take pictures of the process, however, They were soldered, all 4 yellow fan wires to the fan drivers red wire, and all 4 black fan wires to the Fan Drivers Black wire.

Now look at our box:

Everything fits, It is neat, secured, and most importantly, I know that if I left my house for a week, it won't burn down due to a Wago Connector popping open.
