lol @ sisco!! :rofl: ok heres some new shots of the changes,males are out along with the last trailor trash mature female, oopsie she may get knocked up!! height problems ensue with the hps being down,i tried some bonsai wire training and snapped the top off the purple #1 female!!!! another clone i rekon,its in a glass of water and superthrive on my nightstand right now,looking rather good i'll add , im trying to decide on the best way to clone this top, regarding where to cut 2 options make the stem even prep n go, or slice off the first nodes and leaves might be able to clone the little shoots coming out and slice thru the node for faster rooting,,what do my 420 friends think?
also im posting pics of what i think is evidence of a burnout scorch mark im wanting to know what you guys think? also i have a 1500 watt bulb its a metalarc something, would it hurt my ballast to try it?

ok i think thats it for the moment at least till i go in there today god knows what i'll find!! maybe they will all have turned in to rosemary bushes!

Just cut it shorter and loose some fan leaves...It'll be a nice tall clone...I did tha same tang over here on Monday.

The 1500 can only go in a 1500...

EDIT: Maybe shave the nodes off for better chance....

i was thinking the same thing on both questions, figured the bulb would not be usable, i have 2 70watt hps bulbs with regular size bases, but have not found ballast/fixtures in a decent price range cant afford 50 bucks each for the 2 10 dollar bulbs!!(i think i got them for a buck apiece at a markdown table) lol,,i was thinking slice right thru the node , there's almost 2 inches to the next node, the top is 7 inches tall altogether, i usually scrape and do tiny cuts along where i want roots

I snapped my moby dick like that last week. I opened the cab to fined her in two. The LST was a little to much for her and her head came off... I was not in time to save the top, but I would have like to.

I hope your top will root fast and grow some legs for you!

Place your fingers together on the outside of the bend to support it... press gently on the inside of the bend against your hand/fingers and gently coax the bend. DO NOT bend with the outside fingers pressing toward your thumb...


It'll be okay. Just clone it with a cut below those two bottom nodes and shave off the fans, and sprouts. Remove the flower from the top once it roots, and let it veg for at least two months, before placing it onto flower again.

so i have been looking into ballasts & lights and im wondering how a 600w hps compares to a 1k hps in regards to heat output and lumens per watt efficiency i read somewhere that a 600 is better somehow, can anybody verify this? or if givin a choice one should go with the bigger is better concept? i cant seem to find the comparison thread and charts i saw before...:peace:

600s are as efficient as 1000s, which is more than 400 or 250.
Light can be better distributed in multi-light grows with 600s than 1000s, ie:
I'd buy five 6oos for $1000 rather than three 1000s for $942, ballast bulb & reflector :peace:

thanks gator just what i wanted to know,and makes perfect sense, like spreading cfl's all around rather than all in one spot:thanks::peace:

i have great news, soon i will have a new 600watt jd lighting digital ballast, dimmable for hps or mh, they are sponsoring my next grow, in exchange for a journal and comparison review vs my current grow with my i-power 400watt system, looks like im getting closer to the prophecy of a BID 99 plant 3 kilowatt medical grow! lmao! no you cant force me to be a supplier for a dispensary!! :thumb:
