The Answer's Hydro Revelations

Here are some pics of my two Wonder Woman and my freebie seeds(Power kush, Roadrunner). They have been in the system six days now and all have roots in the water. I forgot how quickly they take off, once the roots hit! Two suffered from a dose of overwatering I suspect(yellow before nutes), but are snapping back nicely. These plants will provide clones for my aero systems and once they take over the tub I might move them to individual 5 gal. bucket setups. I am currently at a 1/4 dose of Botanicare nutes(275 PPM) and PH is steady at 6.0-6.1. No smells, no slimes, no dust.....just pure bubbles!!!!!!

These are the two WW. The smaller one had the early yellowing, but the other one is starting to take off(lots of roots)!!

Here is my 200 watt cfl veg light, which I installed into a universal light hood. This was from my last grow. Works very well, zero heat issues!!

I finally got me a ballast for my HPS!!!! I decided to go wit the CAP Nextgen 400/600 switchable ballast. The hydro shop I ordered my bulb from accidently sent me a 400 watt bulb instead of the 600w I ordered. They sent me the 600w and said keep the other bulb! So since I already had both bulbs I liked the idea of being able to swap. I have heard that these ballasts are assembled in the USA! I hope this is true, as that was a major deciding factor. They also have a 5 year warranty just like lumatek.

Then I got a Vortex 6 inch 449 CFM High Power Inline Fan(Made in Canada).

Then I got me a Speedster fan control for my fan.

So here is the total for my new light setup:
  1. $50 Cooltube reflector
  2. $20 600 Watt Sunmaster HPS bulb(95,000 Lumens)
  3. $205 C.A.P. Nextgen 400/600 Digital Ballast
  4. $179 Vortex 6 inch 449 CFM High Power Inline Fan
  5. $25 Speedster fan speed controller
  6. $22 Permaduct six inch air ducting
Total $501

Not bad considering it is truly a complete setup and built with quality components. I looked at many "complete kits" and decided I would rather build my own with the components I choose, not some chinese garbage!!! Hopefully it will be here by the end of the week!!

Got some nice goods there Theanswer!

I have that same ballast and love it. I run it on 600 with a 6 inch radiant hood. Love it. I also have that same fan. Love it. Don't have the controller though. Probably have that same bulb too! too funny. Some good stuff! Enjoy, congrats, have fun using the new goodies!!!:cheer::cheer:
