The Answer's Hydro Revelations

Just found your journal. Looking good. Are you going to have 3 systems for a perpetual cycle?

Eventually I plan to do at least two flower systems, maybe three! Right now due to space and lack off aero experience, I am just sticking with the one. It is alot different than Deep Water Culture!! I am building a veg unit real soon and can flower in that if need be.

Can you mass produce that nft-aeroponic system, like assemble one fast?

I think you could market it and make some money!

You could definitely build them fast! It's like putting a big errector set together. The great thing is you can make it any size you want. It has 14 sites right now, but you can make it 6, 10, etc.. So you could have three or four different versions for different grow spaces. Back when I built my first bubble system I thought about selling them on ebay, but it was already flooded with kits. But this is quite different........Hmmmm

I'm a salesman, and I think I could talk several Hydro Shops, especially a couple of Internet ones, to sell it, if the mark-up is there and if you could assmeple and ship them cheap enough. You really wouldn't have to assemble it, just sell it as a kit.

I did my CFL Tutorial today in the Grow Room Set Up sub-forum.

Who was it that built that awesome CFL pcv pipe bulb assembly??? I want to ask him to post it in the CFL Tutorial thread adn I can't remember who it was. Doh!

Here are some updated pics of the Church clones. The two runts are not growing at all and will probably get pulled if they continue course. The two biggest in the back are coming along nicely, even though the left plant started to show nute burn.

This plant was almost even with the pvc when it went in the system. Growth would have been better, but there is a learning curve......

Here's a few pics of my poor old, burnt up mother Church plants. They have never fully recovered from being burnt by FF Open Sesame. They have started to bloom however and the bud formations do look promising. We shall see I guess.....

It's a great idea for sure, who ever came up with it. Thats when I built mine, I saw the ht article with the stinkbud setup last spring. I added a third tube in the middle, but I built it so it was very modular, and it would be easy to go to one tube or many. Even the frame can easily be expanded. I just didn't run it on a cycle time and I think thats where I ran into some issues. It was defiantly fun to build and run. I'm gonna be modifying the one I built to be able to run the three tubes independent and do a three strain grow, this spring.

If you look at the huge harvest end caps, it keeps low water level in the tubes, just in case the power goes out, roots won't dry. I've seen a similar system that was home built by a plumber, with the same rubber end caps, and that thing could grow.

I am going to build another one real soon with 4x4 PVC fencepost(flat surface for netcups) and I am going to do a cost workup on it. It would be easy to put a kit together with full instructions. To my knowledge nobody has patented this system.

Thats a great idea with the independent tubes. That is one thing that I worried about was having two entirely different strains in the same tube. One might want more or less nutes than the other. Although somehow Stinkbud does it without hitch.

I'd imagine once is system is cash cropping it like stinkbud you prolly know the same 3-5 strains in and out. From things I have seen stinkbud was running 3 or 4 flowering units, which might be the diff strain capability idk.

With so many flavors and strains, it is just too tempting to run multi strains, so I want to avoid the single unit. Once I get a timer I'm gonna mod mine to run at least 2 tubes independent. That will at least give me 10-12 plant sites and then when I get a third pump I can add back my third tube for a third strain.
