The Alberta Growers Lounge

I'm super excited guys! I have received my seeds, tent, exhaust fan, and light. Soon I will no longer be a mere spectator but also growing some frosty nugs again! Waiting on some of the hydro stuff. In Canada it seems way more common for orders to cancel due to stock. Maybe it is a covid thing but it led me to this light, and a new mini fridge as my water cooler. (Some of my fish loving friends may be more I n the know than me on that) anyway, here was today's haul. The build is in my signature - RDWC (shameless plug)

Man, I am below average. I just checked it and it didn't work I need to fix that asap after walking the dog.

Got super high on cold creek kush from the local dispensary while walking the dog. The bud is soooo dry unfortunately. Anyway fixed the link. Thank you and my apologies for my ignorance

Oh frig, looking into the tank can easily eat up a half hour no problem lol!! I find my self getting ready for bed, then find my self staring into the tank for 15 mins first lol
 
Congrats on the baby fishies @Backlipslide

I came across the portable vaporizer I was looking for this weekend and stumbled on some decent bud for dispensary quality. Little dry but good enough for now. Cherry burst. Sorry for the terrible picture quality

well the baby fish are all gone!
I did some digging and found out that
when the male isn’t fully sexually mature, he will turn on the baby’s. He will try and eat them so they can have sex and have new baby’s because the male is in heat. The female doesn’t want any part of it because she’s busy raising the fry. So she ends up fighting him off and nipping at him to keep him at bay. He always sneaks back and east a baby but gets beat up by the female while doing so.

so he spent a lot of time hiding the past lil while, because she was constantly nipping at him. But the baby’s are gone and the process is starting all over again.
 
Hi Lip! Hope all is well in your world. Love the cichlids! Some can be rather voracious. I used to like the tug o wars when I'd throw worms in the cichlid tank. Had a dream once about me an the woman owning a goat ranch. Weird, man but the little ones are cute.
Thawed out early here. I'm gonna start my outdoor grow today.

Ya man I know the kids are calling it tattoo's cause of the colorings on its head and neck.

I tried that to, but the kids got angry when I started to use them for fishing bait :rofl:
My daughter was supper pissed at me.
Some days I can't wait for my kids to be grown

Hmm my sig isnt working. Yikes. Ill fix it.

Should be working now. I update my journal pretty frequently. I recently switched to coots mix. I have done pete, pro mix hp, pro mix bx, pro mix hp cc, DWC and now going fully organic. Im a master of nothing yet but hopefully will settle on organics since that what I am most interested in at the moment.

I’m doing better... was pretty bummed out about the water in the basement again... slowly getting that taken care of.
works been crazy busy! Building compound angled build outs on exterior walls. Fun stuff to build, definitely gotta dust off the old brain of mine and use it!
It’s definitely an early spring here in Alberta. I don’t think it’ll stick around though...
anyways, good to hear from you!! Hope you have the best of luck on you’re grow this season!!:passitleft:

Well it's true kids are the best thing to happen to a couple untill they get older and get a little smarter and talk you into adopting a 26 year old turtle. Lol so on top of the fish, dogs, cats, hamsters we now.have a red eared slider turtle. In a 150gal, water trough for feeding cows. Like what was i thinking :rofl::rofl:
