Great minds must think alike!
I picked up a free 8' stick of 6" pvc. I think I'm gonna make a few 12" tall pots, but I also wanted to try one between 24"-36" long with multiple (plug-able) wicking holes to choose from depending on root depth.
Thoughts? Most people who grow in hempy, tell me I'm nuts and 12" is a perfect pot. Is it even worth the headache?

Oh.... I'm not so sure about the 12" bit. Taller pots require more frequent watering as the wicking action from the res seems to be challenged until the roots fill in. I ran some 24" tubes this year. I want to get a monster outdoor auto out of one.
As a general rule, I like to kick any tire I can. Pot size is a frequent target of my kicking.

Having said all that, the 12" height does simplify life. If one wants a simple grow (and I do), the 12" form is juuuuuust right. Of course, it's still only 6L of medium, and one doesn't generally grow monsters in any 6L format. I get around 2-3 oz off a well grown girl and the plants finish off under 3' tall (above the pot).

How's ur headroom?

I have 8' ceilings but outside is always an option. Most likely just gonna run a few plants in the 12" pots I make. After I can see how they respond I'll figure out how to tackle the tall pot. If I even attempt it. No need to kill helpless plants if I don't need to.

Looks like the weather has leveled off enough to throw a bean in the soil outside.
Gonna run another Amnesia Haze auto. I think I caught a good area of weather for a few months before the real TX heat starts.
I'm pretty excited to see how much bigger this auto can get outdoors compared to my current indoor AHa

The 12" pots will make the grows slightly easier, so maybe best to start out smaller. I grew in 2L soda bottles for a good long time. I really liked that format, but these days I want fewer larger plants rather than a herd of 2Ls.

Snapped a couple pics today. Flushed the 2 oldest girls (Green Crack #1 & Amnesia Haze) in prep for harvest and fed the rest while I had them out.

Things are looking good though. Nothing spectacular, but they should yield what I need.

Thanks again to everyone who is tagging along with this journal....

Whoops... Forgot these 2 when I uploaded pics yesterday.

These are my 2 bag seeds...

About a month into veg now, maybe a bit longer. Sadly, I wasn't really paying attention or tracking these 2 until this recent growth spurt. Shit! They got my attention now.
Hoping for the best with these 2, my last Bagseed grew into a good sized bush before his nuts dropped. I was so disappointed.

On another note... Sending thoughts and prayers out to @Smeegol .... Your surgery will be a great success and I hope you see you back soon. You got this!

Amnesia Haze auto seed germinated perfectly; went in the soil this morning...

I'm really interested to see a good outdoor/indoor comparison between this new plant and my current AHa. I have yet to grow a plant that was done when the breeder says it should be... I've had many 10-12 week flowering plants. Hope to see this outdoor auto finish out in 3 months.

We will just have to wait & see.

:yummy:

Amnesia Haze auto & Green Crack auto are really putting my patience to the test. LoL
Both on week 10 (give or take a day) and trics are 90% clear on both. It is what it is.. They're done when they're done.
They look real good though. Buds are much more dense than anything I've grown in the past. Lowering my lights made quite a difference.

Checked on the girls this morning... No amber tricomes yet. LoL

I actually planned on submitting the Amnesia Haze auto for the nug of the month April... Haha! She's still going strong. Looks like I'll have to wait until next month.

Looks like some good nugs there....

Hooray! :yahoo:
The tricomes on my Amnesia Haze auto have changed enough for harvest.
Pulled her out from light around noon today.
Just shy of 11 fucking weeks in flower! LoL
Fishing for advice... What do y'all prefer, wet or dry trim? Nugs on a rack or hang dry branches? Budwashing? Anyone do this?

I'll get pictures up when I go out to trim...

Put a pretty good trim on these wet, but I think I'm gonna clean em up a bit more before putting them in a jar.

Pretty happy about it....

Flipped the lights back to 12/12 today. These 2 bagseeds are getting pretty big. I'm expecting a good stretch. They've been vegging for 2 months now.

I'll add a few pictures tomorrow when the lights are back on.

I think I'm gonna move the Amnesia Haze auto seedling outside tomorrow. All my other autos are 6+ weeks of flowering... I don't really see the flip affecting any of them.

Looks fantastic Preston. Hope your day is great so far. Happy 420 my friend

I want to try to win a contest but I’m a phone only too. Looking at trying a macro lens for phone to see. I’m feeling like I have no chance against people who know how to take pictures. I think yours are coming out pretty good. Also maybe better pictures would make a better journal?

I bought a 60X micro camera that connected to my phone via USB... it never worked. Now I just snap the clearest pictures I can with my cell and crop them with a free program called photo director. Makes it easier to center up pictures and size accordingly.

Thanks everyone! Happy 420 to y'all too.
