Love the vid update P. Girls are looking maximum healthy. Cant wait to see what the moby dick turns out like. What ya plans for flipping the photos? You just gonna flip when ready and let the autos do their thing? As my autos are so far along i was thinking of taking clones from my photos just before chopping the autos. Fill up the space with loads of clones and do one half a quick SOG so im not wasting space.Video update day!

People will scold you for the lack of light hours, but I am doing it now at 11 hrs 30m / day. I might move it to 18 in a week or so bc I am running out of room. The one positive thing about autos is their flexible.
This one was initially started at 18, showed at 27 and moved to 11.5, and will be moving to 18 again at about 45 days post show.
More light = more bud. Autos or photos same thing. Rider was running his flower room at 14/10 because he had sunset red pucks that shut them down quicker or something like that. That way he could grow his buds to be as big as his head!
So it's just a trade off that each auto/photo grower has to decide if they want to make.

I would like to try what rider did (very cool), just am happy where I am and don't want to push it with plants on different schedules.
Oh I wasn't suggesting anyone do what Rider did! I just meant that getting the most light you can on your flowers is beneficial, and the less you give them the smaller they'll be. That's the 12/12 autoflower trade off.

Yeah, that is likely the case with my lights. I'll wait until I see a little action on the autos, then I'll flip.
Should put me right aroun 40-ish days of veg. Still trying to size up what I can actually fit in the shed, so I'm not gonna push these girls too long in veg. Last thing I want is to outgrow my space during the middle of flowering. LoL

I've done autos under many different life cycles. From what I noticed, my autos that grow under 12/12 are smaller (obviously) and yield around 10-15% less at harvest.
That being said..... I didn't start growing under good lights until recently. The numbers may actually be more drastic under awesome lights, but in my case, the loss was so minimal that I'm fine with it.
Growing in smaller spaces comes with a little sacrifice I guess. Personally, I would rather have an army of different strains that stay smaller, opposed to one or two strains that take up the whole grow.
Guess it is a preference thing.....
