Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

Lol, at least the fuggers are dead!

They returned. At least it's just whiteflies.
The current infestation reminds me that I need to get my neem program up and running again. I had let it slide when the weather cooled, but we've been bounding above 80f lately so I guess the constant bug battle returns.... meh!

A shot from yesterday. Ignore the wilting girly in the upper left... she gotten so large that she need more frequent waterings than the rest of the girls. She perked right back post watering.

I tried to get a higher angle on the scene, so pardon the wires and panels.
There are 13 girls in 5gals on a megacrop diet in homemade pro-mix.

The room is full, you're swimming in green there :)

It's a pretty good crew at the moment. New ladies are up front and the 3 against the back wall are getting flushed. The plants migrate thru the room from front to back as they mature, so the photo has a wide range of plant ages.
Yea... I've got more space I could throw into the melee, but not enough lights to do it.
Perhaps I'll expand soon. So lazy.

Out of curiosity how much do you use per gallon?
Heya Weas! Gotta go roam your room... many others too, but gotta get off my ass and read up.
I'm topping out at 8grams/gal in bloom. I could probably push that up to 9 or maybe even 10. Greenleaf's (MegaCrop maker) tops out at 6g/gal... but I suspect that's meant for soil, not hydro. According to their PPM calculator, I should be in the mid 800's ppm. 800 ppm in hydro bloom seems a bit light, but not too low, and when I consider the peat moss and lime I'm adding, it seems about right. Buds are big, dense, and heavy so I'm pretty happy at 8g/gal.

Thanks. I just opened up my box of MC yesterday and fed the plants at around 5.5 per gallon which worked out to about 600 ppm. So that part at least sounds consistent. To me 600 ppm is way too low but others, for some reason, say to disregard and just go by weight. Either way I guess I’ll bump it up a bit

I suspect you'll be fine. Hell, I suspect I'd be fine bumping it up 1g/gal. I think I'll try that out tomorrow.

I always talk about bloom.... never veg. To get to bloom, one must veg after all..... unless you're doing autos.

Here are some clones...

Here's a newbie getting her feet under her.

How are UDs behaving in the new room?

They delicious!!!
Not huge.... really not huge... but as a little bit of candy I grow for myself and don't share, it works wonderfully.
I'm really trying to vary my genetics some and I've been failing mostly. For some mysterious reasons that I simply cannot understand, my seed popping record is not impressive. I'm gonna scratch up a bunch of seeds with sandpaper and see if I can boost those numbers some. Then, I'll be going on a pheno hunt to find some bigger UD genentics. If I could get the same candy out of a much larger plant.... well, that would just be wonderful.

I'm happy you spoke here. It caused me to click on your grow and check things out. I saw your recent photo of the bottom of your pot.

I've been using your standard 5gal buckets with holes drilled into the sides at the bottom for drainage. Tried the 5gal felt grow bags, but they didn't support the plant enough and I had tons of 'leaners'. I've moved away from the Hempy Pot configuration I was running and now run a traditional watering/feeding system. I keep my pots sitting in big round 'plates' that hold runoff. I've been looking for a way to allow the runoff water in the 'plates' to be re-absorbed by the plant. I'd seen that process in play with the bags and I was trying to replicate it, but not much is re-absorbed thru my bottom drain holes. I believe the elevated pot bottom of the airpots might be what I'm looking for. I never realized those had elevated bottoms with an airspace. I think this might be the answer I'm looking for.
Thanks!

Yeah you can do pheno hunt and you can still find sth better, but yieldwise it’s just about long veg and constant training. That’s how it worked for me outdoor, but indoor it’s no different. I’m surprised in general how well these plants do in hydro, but there’s a lot of OG in there, so I can understand it.

I’m :smokin2: some of the Chem, strong piney type from @ilikemsticky and this is the most relaxing side of the line with middle of the road potency. I think it’s also the best you can do yieldwise. It has the biggest, heaviest buds :smokin2:

I've been lusting after some strains for many years now. I really just need to get off my ass and make that happen. Durban Poison will be at the top of the list.

On another note, these gave up while cutting a plant.

Time for an upgrade!

Now THAT's a chainsaw. :headbanger:

chainsaw hell,,, it's a damn sawmill. I had a friend that had one with a bar damn near that big. only used it once but that sucker could cut a hella tree down. We had the truck of a huge ass oaktree to take to the ground....

I hate bugs.. All bugs,, even the good ones.. Cause if you got good ones,, that means you got bad ones. They do have to eat...

Mr @Tead, whiteflies.. pressure wash all your veg plants and then some safer's soap... wait 20 minutes pressure wash again. You know what I mean spray them hard with a garden hose. I've dealt with them a time or two. And make sure you spray the top of the grow medium pretty hard.

But hard to do when you got plants a ton in flower,, or if you piece-meal spraying your plants. Gettem all the same time and get everything. And clean the room,, You do have that room packed............. You got lower airflow?

Garden looks great tho. Your getting it dialed in nicely.. Alot different than the shed huh?

Well, Gl with the gardens.. Keepem Green

almost time for outdoor crops?

Holy Crap! That bad boy needs a handle on the other end! Imagine that bar kicking back on you.... I guess you just make sure you're not in that arc at any point in time.

Wow... that sounds like a ton of work.
I took the lazy route and went for a pyretherin auto-spritzer in front of a fan. It sprays a little fog every 3min. A touch spendy, but lasts many months.

You got lower airflow?

No. I need to get more fans.

Alot different than the shed huh?

So different, but I miss the back yard toys. Turns it more into work than play. I prefer to play.

Thanks. I've been really impressed by the Co2 lately. I didn't realize that I had left it at a low level for a very long time. Now that I've cranked it up to top out at 1300ppm, I'm seeing some significantly increased bud mass.

Ha ha. I’ve got one of those. What a beast. Not sure if I dare post a pic of myself with it. It doesn’t kick back much- the bar is so bloody heavy. Safe enough once it’s buried in some wood

Edit. Here ya go, Macho enough for you???

So far have completely failed to talk my girlfriend into holding the handle....
