That’s super strange but neat!! I wonder if she will grow out of it or keep a weird leaf mutation through growth! Excited to find out
I don't believe there's anything to grow out of - I'm pretty sure it's twins that didn't separate!
I have seen people get twins (I am yet to experience it) but I have never seen them conjoined other than maybe at the base. I found pictures while googling one day and found a set of trainwreck twins a guy grew full term. It was pretty neat to see.
I've seen twins, too, but never conjoined which is what this really appears to be. I'll get a better pic of it, but if you look at the following pic, which was from last night, just to the right of center on the stem, you can see a vertical line where light is reflected. That is actually a "seam" where the two plans are joined. If you were to separate at that seam, you'd have two plants, each with a full set of cotyledons BUT only the "main" set (on left side) has a first set of leaves showing. They're just starting to show on the second set (right side):
At this point, I expect the second plant/cotyledons to start developing a first set of leaves and, I think they'll grow out separately so I will end up with two plants conjoined at the base.
If her genetics are good, I can cut down on her floor space simply by taking a clone, so we'll let her go and see what she turns out like.
I think I may enter her in POTM! Maybe she'll get the "sympathy vote"?
