DAY #9 OF 12/12
Today will be the 9th day of 12/12 and both Cheeselicious plants are looking great (well, one minor issue will get to in a minute... ) and are pushing out pistils.
Since the only training I did was the Uncle Ben's Topping, the four primary colas on each plant are nice and thick and should be able to support some nice heavy buds.
Here's what they're looking like today:
That "one minor issue" I mentioned is actually visible in that last pic, but a little tough to make out...See if you can spot it in this pic:
If you still didn't catch it, look at that white area peaking out at the bottom of the plant on the right....See it now?
Yeah, well, that's a fan that fell on that plant and tried to take out one of the four colas, and it almost did! Luckily, because the cola is so thick, it shrugged most of it off and has already grown a knuckle where it had the slight break and is reaching back for the light, so it looks more like a failed supercropping attempt (it wasn't - the canopy was nice and even before hand!) than the catastrophe it could have been if I had lost 25% of the potential buds.
It was tough to get a good picture showing the full amount of the damage/recovery, but here's what it looks like:
That main cola stalk goes down, to the right, and back up again where the break was. The only real issue is that cola is now a little further away from the light than the rest but, like I said, it could have been a lot worse!
Here are a couple of pics showing some pistil development:
On a final note, I keep forgetting about the White Widow I moved outside and keep forgetting to get some pics of that one since it's almost like a spare at this point, but, TBH, I really do want/need to get some good buds so I should pay it more attention.
Anyway, we had some torrential rain storms and I didn't even think about bringing it in. She faired the storms well and is healthy, so far, but the pounding from the rain combined with the weight of the drops trained all the branches down. It almost looks like someone sat on the whole plant. It did open all the colas up to a lot more sun, but as the buds gain weight, once it flowers, it's going to be a PITA to make sure they're all supported. I'll likely have to build some kind of cage.
That's it for today!
Happy Harvests!
