Tales From The Krip!

Hi there :)

I’ve been a super fan of autos… until this Wedding Cake lol. While she’s defs big enough, her Britney Spears are lacking. The length is okay, but they are like so thin. Thinnest Coca-Cola’s I’ve ever grown. She’s not even a third of the way through flower so hopefully they thicken at some point.
@weenmeoff Let me know if you need me to translate "Britney Spears" and "Coca-Colas" for you, Brother! ;)

QUICK UPDATE - DAY #0 OF 12/12

Sorry it's been so long since the last update but been busy with life lately and, honestly, watching girls veg is kinda like watching the grass grow. But, the girls are all grown up now and ready to go into flower.

I actually transplanted them into #7 square fabric containers because I was going to try to squeeze all three plants into the tent for flower, but, even though the fabric containers would have all fit, I couldn't get drainage trays under all three, even after using a #5 for the White Widow.

It's probably just as well since, assuming the WW doesn't go into flower in the next 80 days, or so, I can finish her in the tent after the two Cheeselicious are done and, either way, I can up-pot her from the #5 later.

Here's a pic of both tent girls:

Cheeselicious #1:

Cheeselicious #2:

They're just about 2' tall from the top of the soil and I just set the timer to 12/12 so I'll start counting tomorrow as day #1.

Those square fabric containers have loops on the top and bottom of each corner that let's you place plant stakes there. Originally, I was going to use these to train the four tops out to the sides after the Uncle Ben's Topping, but the 4' stakes were too tall to get the light as low as I wanted with all four in; and, although I could have cut them to size, they really wouldn't have accomplished much for training. Other than the UBT, I didn't train these plants, at all.

The stakes will, however, come in handy for securing some of the large colas, if needed, and/or wrapping some twine around the steaks to create a make-shift plant cage if things get too wild. So, as the plants go through their little growth spurt over the next few weeks and the light gets raised, I'll be adding a couple more steaks to each planter.

Happy Harvests!

K

They're living the lush life Mr K, and I hope you are too!
Thanks, Brother! I wouldn't say I'm living it, but the plants are pretty happy & healthy after battling those early Magnesium and Calcium deficiencies. How's everything your way?

Not too shabby, thanks! Could do with a bit of sunshine on my summer grow (May gray just becomes June gloom!) but they're getting by. Just like the rest of us. :)
I'll try to send you some of our sunshine. We've got plenty here. It's the humidity and pests that plague our outdoor summer grows, so you may get some of that, too, with the sunshine I send! :sorry:

Great to see you Krip! Plants look fabulous bro.:high-five:

I hear you on humidity.
You know it's hot when you get burn on the car seat belt..lol
Yeah, you too, Brother and hope things get better with your Dad.
Assuming you're wearing shorts, the leather seats burn you long before the seat belt, and in places you don't want to get burned!

I cannot imagine a spot that I would like to get burned.

Hey, TS! Really great to see you Brother! :high-five:
:passitleft:

Your point is well-taken. I'm just saying that if you made a list of the top ten places on your body you'd least like to get burned, the leather seats would surely get a couple on that list!

Hi Kripstar :)

Your plants are schmickey Schmouse bruv!

And so good to see you!
I've been away for a while and not totally caught up on your new expressions, but is "Schmickey Schmouse" a good thing?

I'm not sure cuz' these days Mickey is promoting hermies and I sure hope that doesn't happen to these girls!

It's great to see you, too! Especially with your light so close to the plants and some reflective material in the bloom room! Your plants are looking great!:welldone:

Aaaahhhhh...OK....Thank you, then! :thanks:

Huh? :thedoubletake: What happened to the "Yeah, Nah"? Are you OK??? Who are you and what have you done with Trala?
If I hadn't read that you recently accidentally broke a cola off one of your plants, I'd be sure you were an imposter!

Omg seriously big smiling like a loon!

I must be greengrow growing up!

All is left now is to get back to better yields!

Nice dark looking girls, looking forward to the bud show.
I'm always interested in bud quality Vs bud numbers. I think sooo much comes into play, yet sometimes as so often with this plant less can be more??
Thoughts 😁

Thanks, Brother! :thanks:

Well, there are two sides to the quality vs. numbers. As a smoker, I always go for the quality and don't mind spending a little more to get it.

As a grower, I spend extra to get good genetics and view my job as being able to get those genetics to their maximum quality potential while still optimizing my yield out of the available grow space. But, at the end of the day, I'd be happier with less yield (within reason) for higher quality. That's just me, of course! ;)
