Tales From The Krip!

Hey Krip!! Lurked here n thereabouts and finally found myself up to date - in time for harvest! :cheer:

They’re very chunky tasty looking buds!
:bravo:

Subbed up for the next round

Thanks, Amy & glad you made it! :welcome::hugs:

Nice haul Krip! I wouldn’t even know where to start trimming.....just smoke it all. Lol
Good morning Kriperman...nice harvest ya got there.Great job sir!
Nice Harvest Krip and lovely buds!! Can’t wait for the total weights woop!

Thanks, guys! :thanks:

It looks like the total weights are going to be pretty close to last round but probably a little under. Right around 22-23 oz. would be my guess, right now, plus several ounces of GREAT trim! I can't wait for the trim to dry just so I can make a huge batch of RSO and see what kind of yield I get from it - I bet it's close to an oz! :yahoo:

BLUE GELATO 41 DOWN - HARVEST COMPLETE! :yahoo:

I harvested the BG-41 this morning and, although she didn't get as much light or attention as the two IHG strains, she really held her own and produced some very chunky, dense, and frosty buds. I haven't even sampled her, yet, but I am planning on culling this one just because it's so leafy. It took me about 30% longer (per plant) to trim this one!

I'm estimating about 4 oz. total from this girl.

Here are the colas:

And, I also got a big bowl of buds:

The fridge is pretty packed, right now, but I'm gonna try to squeeze as much as I can in once they finish drying from the wash. I may end up drying a good amount of it in the tent.

I'll post some more pictures once trimmed.

Happy Harvests!

PLANS FOR THE UPCOMING GROW - BIG CHANGES!

I was trying to hold off on announcing the new plans, but things have been going slower than anticipated and, since everything appears to be confirmed, I figured now would be as good a time as any. ;)
Most of you noticed the recent change in Avatar/Title. The story is that I was asked by :420: to help them out with a sponsored grow for one of the LED sponsors. They had two previous sponsor grows and neither of the growers ever completed their journals so it put 420 in a bad situation and they needed someone reliable.

I was more anxious to help 420 than I was to change my lights, right now, since they're working well, but it is the "top-of-the-line" light from that specific manufacturer, although less watts than I'm running now. I did agree to do (and complete!) the sponsored grow and, right now, there is a light on it's way to me that should be here in five days.

I'll give details on the light once it gets here and I start the new journal.

When I agreed to the sponsored grow, I didn't realize it would involve a "Staff" title but it did lead there.

In my discussions along the way, I commented that the next round was going to be a couple more IHG strains which should make the light look good and it was suggested that, since this will be a sponsored grow, I use one of the sponsor strains.

So, even though I've got the two each of Platinum Kush Breath & Platinum Cake that have been vegging for something like 6-8 weeks ready to go in; and even though I just popped those seven more seeds for the breeding project, I figured I'd pop some Ace seeds and run those.

I decided to do two each of Bubba Hash and Orient Express, since they both have similar finish times; and, to be safe, I popped three seeds of each.

As luck would have it, all six of those popped!

Now, I'm sitting on something 13 new seedlings, plus those four PTKs, plus the over-packed veg tent including four plants I was planning on putting into flower right about now! :thedoubletake:

So, I'm doing a temporary change-up.

I'm going to run the sponsored grow in the 4' x 4' which will free up the lights in that tent. But, those Ace plants will still need to veg another 6-8 weeks and I just don't want to delay the next round that much when I have those four IHG plants ready to go into flower.

So, I'm temporarily (famous last words!) going to leave the 2' x 4' x 5' drying tent up, put one of the Mars Reflector 144's in there, and flower two of those IHG plants in the 2' x 4' while the sponsored grow is going on in the main tent.

By the time the Ace strains are ready to flip to 12/12, I should be within a couple weeks of harvesting in the drying tent, I can dry that round in there, and leave it up to dry the sponsored grow in the main tent a few weeks later.

That should help me cycle through some of these plants. I just need to figure out the timing again on the breeding project which looks like it will now be two weeks before harvesting those Ace strains.

Anyways, that's the deal and the plan.

I'll post the link here when I have the sponsored grow journal up and this journal will stay open for the "other stuff" and for the future.

Happy Harvests!

TRIM WEIGHT

I didn't weigh the trim from the different strains individually, but I just put a gallon ziplock bag that was packed full of the dry trim from all five of the plants and weighed in at 189 g or 6.75 oz. of trim, alone! It would have been better to see all that weight as buds, of course, but there's plenty of buds and I should get a very nice batch of RSO from all this trim! :yahoo:

California’s marijuana industry needs an intervention to avoid an ‘extinction event’

Once, the cannabis industry was poised to become a multibillion-dollar industry in California. Now, it could be heading for what its advocates call an “extinction event.”

An estimated 10,000 marijuana growers could lose their licenses in the coming months if California lawmakers fail to pass a bill designed to grant them an extension, according to Sen. Mike McGuire, D-Healdsburg, who has sponsored Senate Bill 67.

“The bottom line is this: This bill is going to protect thousands of cannabis farmers, in particular, who did the right thing and applied for a state license after the passage of Prop. 64 but their temporary license is about to expire,” McGuire said in a hearing on his bill.

Under Proposition 64, California regulatory agencies were authorized to grant cannabis businesses a temporary license, good for 120 days and eligible for a 90-day extension. In the event of unanticipated delays in becoming compliant with the California Environmental Quality Act, a temporary license holder also could apply for a one-year provisional license.

Do you make all of your RSO with trim? Or does some of it get made with bud?

Do you make all of your RSO with trim? Or does some of it get made with bud?
I almost always make it from the buds since I've never had this much trim. I have no problems using the trim, I find it's typically just a lower yield but with 6.75 oz's of the Dolato & Forbidos trim, I don't think yield will be an issue!

Every time i hear the word 'trim' my heart races...ffs....Chop on Sat so.....:passitleft:
My deep freeze is full of DBHBB trim ....for Bubblehash....No time......sakes....:passitleft:

I feel for ya', Brother! :passitleft:
You should get one of those trimmers! The time savings is huge and the savings on back pain is even huger! ;)
