Tales From The Krip!

Lmao silky johnsons beans hahaha what a great name. The names they keep coming out with jus make me crack up some time lol. An yea I totally agree with you with prices like tht u almost have to but with those high of number of freebie beans how can you say no to those genetics.

Shit I did say Silky Johnson lol. That is one of the strains in the cross I got. i got the Sour Johnson :rofl::rofl::rofl: Which is Sour Dubb hit with the Silky Johnson male. The names are crazy that is for sure. The Reg seeds are more affordable off of most sites but some have jacked the prices up to $150 a pack when they had always been $80-$100 a pack.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the size of the bud. My girls seem to have pretty thick stalks so I'm hoping for some big buds on them, but, with my luck, they'll be huge and have NONE of that frost!

Brother Ween is in charge of keeping me from buying seeds but he failed to tell Brother Yeti not to tell me about the sales. :yahoo: Even buying them on sale, you still can visit IHG headquarters and take a tour of the Mr. Krip wing they built from the proceeds of my seed orders!

IHG strains are not something I'd necessarily recommend buying for someone who just wants to grow out a seed. But, if you're gonna keep moms for clones or get into breeding, it's worth the extra money for the top-notch genetics! :thumb:

I am sure you will find a winner bud.. hopefully a frosty one with buds like that Platinum Cake! And yes these are not seeds I would want to just do one run with. It is best to run at least one clone per seed to really get your moneys worth from them!

Haha!:rofl: with sales like Yeti mentioned, shit, I'll be buying more seeds! Keep us informed Yeti! :slide:

I will try and keep everyone as update as I am about the sales and freebie offers! Whenever I tell people about them though Krip's seedaholics anonymous sponsor gets upset with him and me!

Zephyrus #1 is first to show of the new seedlings. Looks like she's gonna emerge with her shell on, but the stem is showing and we should see her in a few hours! :yahoo:

The others aren't even showing a noticeable disturbance in the soil, yet!

So, we now have both Zephyrus seedlings showing above soil. Both have their shells on still, but they should both come off pretty easily since they've opened fairly wide already.

Apricot Jelly #2 is above ground and lost her shell on her own so I would consider her out of the "danger zone" and should be fine. Black Cherry Jelly #1 is also showing but is bent over with her head still in the soil.

I'm still waiting to see a Trainwreck!

That makes four of six of the IHG seeds that have sprouted within 48 hours! :thumb:

ONE MORE DOLATO TESTER

I was planning on harvesting the Dolato tonight but I think I'm gonna give her a couple more days and do it on Sunday, assuming the test bud I just took meets the quality standard  . If not, I'll just give her until next weekend.

She really slowed down on the drinking about 10 days ago and really hasn't changed much since then. I don't visibly see her colas bulking up, but I'm sure she's been putting on some additional weight.

Scoping her trichs shows maybe about 5% amber, 80% cloudy, and 15% clear, so she's really close but I wouldn't mind a little more amber and a little less clear. :hookah:

Here are a couple pics of the bud that's drying now:

YESTERDAY'S SAMPLE BUDS DRY & READY FOR TEST DRIVE!

And, looking pretty damn good! :yahoo:

Six of the eight seeds have sprouted. The only two left are one of the Trainwreck and one of the Black Cherry Jelly.

That being said, you all can expect a big change in plans soon! ;)

I'll report back on this Dolato sample a little later!

JUST A FEW MORE DAYS!

The Forbidos & Dolato are ready for harvest and the Blue Gelato 41 can be taken any time but another week won't hurt her. However, it appears I'm not quite as ready as I thought.

I was about to prepare the temporary veg area in my bathroom again so I could use the veg tent as the drying tent when I realized that it would just be easier to setup the old 2'x4' tent and use that.

So, I got that out of storage and setup, and then I started debating whether to use the 2'x4' or the 2'x3' for the drying tent since the 2'x3' is hooked up to the carbon filter on the main tent.

To make an even longer story a little shorter, I decided to just order a 4" carbon filter for use in the 2'x4' with an existing 4" fan left over from my original DIY Cabinet.

This way, both the veg tent and drying tent will have ventilation and odor filtration.

The bedroom is a little crowded (and, about to get noisier! ) with those three tents in there, but I'll take the 2'x4' back down right after harvest. It's not too bad to setup & take down (about 15 minutes each way, doing it alone) so I'll just have it up for the couple/few days around harvest and use that with the 4" filter/fan setup for the drying area when I need it.

The new filter should be here on Tuesday so I'm going to try to plan the harvest mid-next week. If I can't get the time to do it then, they'll all come down next weekend.

Happy Harvests!

DAY #60 OF 12/12 - FORBIDOS & DOLATO PIC DUMP
Both of these strains just look phenomenal and the Dolato, in particular, is the stuff wet dreams are made of! :green_heart:

Here are the pics, starting with the Forbidos which has some of the large fans dying off. You'll know the Dolatos when you see them! :yummy:

QUICK SEEDLING UPDATE

We're batting 7 for 8 out of those seedlings with the only one not sprouted, so far, is one of the Black Cherry Jelly seeds.

Also, I had placed the PTK conjoined twin in the veg tent a week or two ago. When I was feeding her yesterday, I noticed that the "underdeveloped side", which I thought stopped growing after it's first set of leaves, has taken off under the LED and looks like we will get two separate plants connected at the base! :slide:
