Sweetsue's Tiny Closet - Second Grow - Sweet Dark Devil & Bomb Berry Bomb - CFL - LED

Re: Sweetsue's Tiny Closet - Second Grow - Sweet Dark Devil & Bomb Berry Bomb - CFL -

Your wife probably loves being your care taker.

It's the most rewarding job or lifestyle in the world. I wouldn't change being one for anything wj

Reminds me of a song my son gave me when I was in bad shape in the icu. It brings some serious tears to my eyes when I hear it. If you never heard it or don't remember it, try to find it with guugle. You should find a free listen somewhere on the internets. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones is band's name. Song title is ''The Impression that I Get''. Let me know if the song hits your spot.

Bless you Sue. Worst thing I've done in my life, and I've done some bad stuff, is turning my wonderful lady and wife of 40 years into a ugh caregiver. Love to all of you caregivers. Bless you all.

WJ

See Jim? Dale feels the same way. Me? There's no one- no other person in this whole world - I want to spend my days growing older with. When he finally passes I don't know how I'll get by without him. I count it an honor to do everything I can to make this man's life a better place and filled with joy. I know your wife feels the same way. I'm sure she's told you she doesn't see it as a chore or a burden. Scary as hell sometimes and frustrating as all out, but Jim? The next time she tells you that? Believe her with all your heart. She means it.

Sue, it's like going to church for me....hanging around your journal. You always inspire me in a good way, in many ways....and with so few words!

God Bless you!

Re: Sweetsue's Tiny Closet - Second Grow - Sweet Dark Devil & Bomb Berry Bomb - CFL -

I googled it Jim. Came up with their video and watched it, thinking how I never thought it could be so hard and I could keep laughing after all this time. That part I'm proud of. Working for joy in the midst of chaos.

Today I'm a bit more raw around the edges than other days. Need to find a way to counteract that before he comes back from occupational therapy.

Thanks for sharing that Jim. It did hit a cord.

Did you see the one with the lyrics written? Not that it is hard to understand. My elder son was 12 and I was fighting Hairy Cell Leukemia at the time and had lost almost half my weight. Near death they said. I knew he had a wonderful soul when I listened to the song. He's 30 now and a grand man, husband and father. I put them all through hell for half their lives. Fortunately both sons have kids and have their own to keep up with. So it's just me and my better 9/10ths.

Sexing Seeds

I came home today, grabbed my lighted jeweler's loupe and pulled out my freebie seeds and bag seeds. I'd watched the video I shared yesterday and studied the chart found in it and now I was ready to put that information to the test and sex these seeds.

Well, it was easier than I thought it would be to do this. The definition of the mini "caldera" was beyond question on female seeds. Anything not definitive got set aside. I didn't allow myself to second guess or double check. Work on instinct. Before I knew it, the job was done.

image22567.jpg

The ones on the cap in the upper right corner are the rejects. They were either obviously not females, indeterminable or damaged. Every other seed there is female, according to the video. I was pleasantly surprised to find my Afghanis are both female. That gives me two to split between the different soils to compare. The seeds from New Years will give me lots of play time. It was some of the best stuff we bought over the past year. A nice way to bring in 2015, even if I was deathly ill during the celebration. The seeds in the small container are pot luck. Aren't those the most fun? All the seeds were from particularly good purchases. I don't save just any seeds and this mix was probably culled over a year's time. The New Years seeds were special enough to warrant their own bag.

I'll need to check my gifted seeds as well. Need to list them too. Why don't I work on that now?

Sexing Seeds: Part Two

Once you get the hang of the sexing it's so obvious which ones are female. If that depression is anything other than perfectly round, set them aside and don't take chances (unless chances are your intention).

The Easter Bunny grows cannabis, and sometimes he breeds. Sometimes this breeding is an unexpected event. Other times it's a planned romance. Part of the package he left on my doorstop were two straws with seeds from both of these occurrences.

The straw marked "Mine" were a planned union. The Easter Bunny informs me that this was a marriage of Auto Jock Horror x Auto Amnesia. He claims it is, in his words, "kick ass". Sweet. There were 12 females and 8 males from this genetic mingling.

image22568.jpg

The ones marked "Unknown" were unplanned surprises. There is no way to determine their genetic line. Wild card seeds. What fun! There were 12 females and 11 males in this batch. I slipped the males into a marked bag and stored them together. Should I ever decide to play.....

So this is the beginning of my seed bank. I had to stop there and laugh out loud. I'm MOTM and I'm building a seed bank. This is too rich. A year ago I didn't even know people grew their own in the manner we all take for granted and today I have an extensive collection of available seeds to begin planting, growing and harvesting. Yahoo!!!

Total: 11

The Autos

- Green House Seeds Kalashnikova Auto (3)
- TH Seeds Auto Critical Hog (1)
- Auto Skunk (3)
- Auto Destroyer (2)
- Auto JH (3)
- Soul Breeders White Widow Auto (2)

Total: 14

The Easter Bunny's breeding results

- "Unknown" (12)
- "Mine" (12)

Total: 24

Last but not least, the bag seeds

Total: 55

Add it all up and we have a Grand Total of 113 available seeds.

OK. That made me pause. I'm just a bit overwhelmed at the generosity here. Hold on. Let me take a few hits and contemplate.........................

I think we're going to have a splendid time for years to come. I hear you MassMedMan. Storage. Let me look around and do some research on proper storage.

I am one happy medicinal farmer. Humbled and floored and bubbling over with joy and expectation.

Let's have some fun. :laughtwo::green_heart:

Re: Sweetsue's Tiny Closet - Second Grow - Sweet Dark Devil & Bomb Berry Bomb - CFL -

Hey Sue,

Getting caught up, that is an amazing adventure on sexing seeds, and on the amazing seed bank. While I was in silent mode again, I have been put into touch with a genetic design company. They are designing unique crosses, and selling them to celebrities for their name sake. Think of Rock Stars and a bud strain named after one. They loved the idea of access to my old school 80's seeds to give them access to genetics unavailable today. So it appears a swapping of DNA and a free flowing of seeds is in process. To wit. I may have a plant I want to name Sweet Sue, I will make sure you get a chance to research it for your approval. I remember the 80's figure a strain from there with some high levels of THC added might be a nice throw back

Best Wishes,

Aki

Good morning friends. I think of you all as family now, you know.

Aki, I'm speechless. If you pull that off I would probably giggle for a month. :laughtwo: How exciting for you to be involved in reviving traits from long-forgotten and neglected genetics. I can't think of anything that would have thrilled you more.

On to our joyful little journey.

Daily Update: Dark Devil Auto - Day 13

I'm not doing any maintenance this morning, other than a drizzling of coconut water and aloe vera juice around the planting site to boost the development of this little one's roots. I used 1/4 cup aloe, 1/4 cup coconut water and about 1/4 cup chloramine-free water (note to self: gather rainwater), so just under 3/4 cup total. The SWICK takes care of hydration needs for the community. This is strictly to replenish building blocks and stimulate root development. I'm leaving the SWICK alone today.

I am noticing a definite growth spurt. It's funny, but when our children were growing it was me who wanted them to get on with development already and what saved them from my impatience was Dale standing beside me saying "They'll get there in their own time". Our daughter didn't walk alone until 14 months and didn't read independently until she was 11 1/2. As a trained educator that taxed my patience to the bone! She went straight to running as a small child and when she began reading she devoured books. To this day she can read multiple books simultaneously, keeping up with each one as she skips between them depending on her mood. I've learned over the years to let things come to pass without my need to "fix it".

This little one here will stun us when she gets going. I sit and explain that to her every morning during our wake-up routine. How can one love a tiny seedling so much? :laughtwo::green_heart:

image22603.jpg

Off to my day. Just got off the phone with Dale, and I'm a bit anxious. He's started throwing up this morning. Only one incident at this point, so I need to breathe and choose optimism, but this is one of those danger signs we were watching for. Dale is not at all prone to digestive distress. It is never a good turn of events for him. The infection in his left leg began with vomiting. I need to get there ASAP.

Later guys. Positive energy, ok? And guys.... Joy.... Spread it wide today. Spring is in the air and tomorrow is our celebration of salvation and redemption. Regardless of your religious affiliation or not, these are worth celebrating.

"Hear the bells ringing, there're singing that we can be born again...."

Have a wonderful day. I'll do my best to do the same. There went the oven alarm. Let me grab those decarboxylated buds and get my butt in gear.

:Namaste:
