SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Love the Chemdogs!!

Thank you PW. :hugs: It is a beauty, eh? I'll have to give one a go in soil someday. The chemovar loves the RX Green Solutions nute line. The vigor of her leaves grabs your attention when you stroll by.

I just got back from what started as a walk along the river trail, but got cut at the halfway point when the cheeks cried out for indoor warmth. :laughtwo: It's friggin' cold out there! Got back to the building and realized I'd forgotten to pick up the grape seed oil for the batch of pain cream I'm in the middle of preparing. :laughtwo: It was the main reason I ventured into the frosty morning. Lol!

I stopped at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for another clip fan and ordered a neat humidifier that uses 2 liter bottles. So cool. I can't wait to show it to you. I'm hoping it'll be here by the weekend. The salesman that ordered it turned out to be a delightful young man, just returned from living in oregin where he briefly worked in cultivation. Small world, huh? He'll be checking us out later. We had a sweet conversation that included sharing photos. :laughtwo: He had a gallery that made me drool. How I yearn to grow outdoors, just once. :dreamy:

After breakfast I'll head out again. I really wanted to get that done. I'm just a half-cup short on the jar of popcorn and trim and the MB2 is full of trim is waiting for its 32 oz. as well.

IMG_71239.JPG

I have a massive bag of trim that needs processing into usable meds. This is only the beginning. :cheesygrinsmiley: I could make oil like this every day for a week, in all likelihood. I love what we do. :slide:

Are we having fun? Good. :cheesygrinsmiley:

But first I need the extraction oils. :battingeyelashes: I'll be back. :ciao:

I need to make oil for gummies soon, I’ll let you know when I get started.

It's been a busy oil day in my kitchen. The perfect pasttime for a freezing day.

Gummies are something I've not made. Canna sent me a couple for the daughter, but she hasn't tried one yet. I'm partial to brownies myself. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I had some gummies made commercially and I think I can make far better.

PW....I'm curious. How would the high compare to a brownie? How high for how long? I would imagine less on each count but please let me know. They must be fairly good since you have an interest in making them.

Good morning everyone:Love:

I’ll use the one Magic Butter published, 3 drivers in the Malawi 500 so far.

LMFAO Penny

The Malawi 500. LMFAO! This'll be fun guys. Here's my entry into this leg of the race. Lol!

She looked a little frantic to me this morning, like she's trying to catch up to the Chem Dawg beside her, but she has a week's head start. Lol.

Still waiting for her to go full-out into bloom.

IMG_71437.JPG

i did it, once. Now my dream is a sunny wall with a greenhouse perhaps on a second floor, indoor sprinklers, (if needed)waterproof lighting, and a subterranean drain system.
its a dream in progress, dreams are good.:snooze:

Now that sounds like something more attuned to the city mouse I've been most of my life. Something with great southern exposure and solar-heated water tubes to keep temperatures under control.

I like to dream of living in the forest, but the reality is I appreciate being able to walk to anything my heart desires. That's really only possible in an urban setting, and to be honest, the one I reside in is pretty damned sweet. I don't even own a motor vehicle.

PW....I'm curious. How would the high compare to a brownie? How high for how long? I would imagine less on each count but please let me know. They must be fairly good since you have an interest in making them.

Now I'm curious. How long do your brownies carry you Jim? Mine are good for 6-8 hours, on average, before I feel the need to kick it up with a follow-up dose.

I'm trying to decide if I want to risk going outside today. :laughtwo: Two trips out yesterday left me cringing at the thought, but I got a gift card for Panara Bread for Christmas, and they make the best Autumn Squash soup. :battingeyelashes: I'm feeling the need for lunch out. Lol! The daughter's on her way over for her morning wake 'n bake, so I'll see what she thinks of the chill before I make up my mind.

Look! Candy Cane 3 has joined the girls. :yahoo: :slide: :yahoo:

IMG_71488.JPG

Welcome little one. Grow big and strong and make many brownies. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Time to roll into the day. Be boldly and deliberately joyful my friends. The universe hears that vibration and responds in kind. Tell me you wouldn't enjoy something unexpectedly delightful to land in front of you today. :laughtwo: Well... give this joyfulness thing a try and see what happens.

I'm brimming with joyfulness over here, and let me tell you, life keeps getting sweeter and sweeter. Join me, why not? :hugs:

This is my current Devil's Carnival. She's 33 days into flowering today.

When this chemovar blooms it does so with a speed I haven't seen before. The original soil plant went 48 days. The second generation went 40 and hermied. This one looks to be trying to finish even faster. As it is, I bumped her bloom nutes down a notch to accelerate the path to harvest, because it looks to me like I'll be lucky to get her to 40 days.

She reeks of perfume and she's covered with trichomes. I'm just stunned at how quickly she finishes. Next one up is in soil.

I found a couple illustrations of the small humidifier I purchased yesterday.

It's not very big at all, and it doesn't hold a 2-liter bottle, but rather a 20-oz bottle. It only cost me $26, so it's well worth the try to see if it'll do for a 2x2. Hmmm.... Need another environmental meter. :hmmm: If it won't do the job in the tent I figure it'll do a decent job of keeping my personal space more humid than the entire apartment. Worst-case scenario is the device sits next to me on the floor as I work.

Assuming you meant humidifier, not dehumidifier - seeing as you're coming into winter so it's getting drier? Having it near you managing your personal microclimate would be great - wonderful for the complexion darling! ;)
If it works in the tent, get another one for yourself.

Me, I have a dehumidifier in the house - it's so humid here I have curing challenges. Every time I open the jar to burp, the humidity jumps dramatically! It's not often below 75RH in the house here. Thank heaven, well thank 420mag, for your innovation with the bags of dried rice ...

Thank you Amy. I edited that. :laughtwo:

I'm always tempted to buy a smaller unit for the one tent and get the big humidifier out for the living room, where I spend most of my time. I'll be keeping my eyes open for the seasonal sales, and may pick up a couple more larger units in February.

It can get pretty humid in summer, living right off the river, but the worst condition for the plants is the unrelenting dry air brought on by forced-air heating. The canna cream has been a godsend for my complexion. :battingeyelashes:

Just curious Sue...how many times do you top your plants? I want to increase my yield next grow so I was thinking I will do 2 plants in my 2x4 tent in 7 gallon fabric pots. I figure if I top my plants and grow from 5-7 gallon pots I will be good...looking to add a 2 x 2 veg tent to the mix now too! :slide: I'm makin' room somehow! Already dropping not so subtle hints to hubby. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thats a pretty cool unit actually. Simple and probably effective. I lucked out and my veg stage was around 49% RH but winter is here in full force and now with the heat its at 39%. But we are in flower now so it worked out. I may need something for the next round if it stays this cold.

In flower I find mine do best in 40-50% humidity. When I don't run the humidifiers it falls to the low 30s in the tent. That's dry enough to attract the Borg. *shiver*. Been there. Done that. I'm staying above 40% as much as possible. That Devil's Carnival giving us such a show has the best humidity going of all my spaces. She shows it IMO.

I'll be honest Amy, I've found that 5-gallon pots give me the best performance in a limited space and without the strength of a hulking, healthy male with good upper body strength standing by. :battingeyelashes:

Seedlings I top at around 5 nodes. Clones I'm more fluid with. As soon as it's obvious the plant has its roots firmly established I'll chop the top right off, back at least one node, sometimes two. Seedlings don't usually get topped again until they hit around 12-14" and look like they're ready to bolt upright. From there in out I'll bend the leaders or supercrop to get the canopy level.

Those pegs I made from wire coat hangers come in real handy for forcing placement or controlling the canopy.

The Devil's Carnival we see above was cut to the quick after about a month of growth. I was intending to clone her and toss her. The clone died and she went on to be this beautiful specimen. The Candy Cane I harvested recently was also cut back severely. What I'm learning is they really benefit from being controlled by a firmer hand than we usually choose. It takes longer in veg, but the results speak for themselves. TheRedDragon tops his to get over 20 strong colas. His plants are intimidating! :laughtwo:

He's teaching me to take more risks. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Man! I sat back and read that last post and realized how much you guys have taught me in three years.

I'm impressed guys. Well done team. :bravo:
