SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Hey Dabber!

Before I run MY mouth, this is probably a better question for Doc :)

Yes, there are nutrients in the Kit Soil--along with all sorts of other goodies--they come from First Run Amendment! I've never taken a plant out of Kit Soil to put into a hempy, but I would imagine that YES, at some point in the 2-4 weeks after transplanting you'd want to supplement nutrients.

Hope that helps!

--Stoney

Thank you Stoney. :hugs: The perfect compliment to my own answer. It's reassuring to find I wasn't blowing smoke. :laughtwo:

Oh.....! I almost forgot the second brownie. If you hadn't distracted me I'd have remembered a block away. :kisstwo:

We do keep good company on here, don't we? (Good on ya Hash!)

EDIT: Happy (early, I guess!) Birthday Sue!!!! Maybe I'll do the 6-day desense with you...interested in maybe doing it as a group?

--Stoney

I like this idea. Before or after the holidays?

Anybody else want in? We could do a thread. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thank you sue and stoney!! So far the plant looks amazing already frosting up....

I couldn't really do much besides transition her away from the kit, because I didn't have cooked Pro mix or any of his nutes....

Well happy early birthday sue... . Or as I like to call it birthday week!

Hope you have a great day 420 friends and family!!

I'm enthralled. You wouldn't believe how many times I'm walking by and step in to get lost again. :dreamy: Smells strongly of berry and something with a harder edge that I haven't placed yet. I'm watching a video of a presentation by Mara Gordon of Aunt Zelda's collective in California and she was talking about how valuable Blue Dream is, if what you purchased was, in fact, Blue Dream, as advertised. Get the mislabeled chemovar and instead of delightful euphoria you can get agitation and anxiety.

Those of us out here without testing are living in faith. Grow the wrong one and you've wasted 4-6 months a needy patient may not have. It's one of those realities that pushes me to find ways to make any cannabis a useful medication for just about any patient. Terpenes can help fine-tune a regimen, but you'll get healing from cannabis no matter what. Grow a strain the patient can't inhale or ingest because of the terpene mix, and I'm gonna want another way to make that plant useful as a healing modality anyway.

Amen Sistah! When I started this journey I had no clue that each strain had its own magic hidden inside. I didn't know "come" from "sick'em!" I grew plants thinking any would do. Boy, was I in for a shock. The learning curve on pheno types was as steep as learning to grow, period.

Thanks to open forums like this–and people like you–I got help online finally that really made a difference in my quality of life. That's why I try to pay it forward, a little tiny bit, whenever I can. Thanks for keeping it real Sue. I appreciate it.

In this case, I do believe the seeds MagicJim created are the terpene and cannabinoid mix anticipated, although Jim had mentioned the PineSol smell. Hmmmm.... That may be what I'm picking up. It's been gradually climbing in concentration over the past two or three days.

Oh Jim...... does this suggest I'm taking her at just the right time? :yahoo:

 Good one Insanity. Lol! I'd have expected her to shout "YES!"

I'll be harvesting her on Day 56 of flower. I could go longer, but I don't care for any amber on my personal stash, and it'll be my birthday, which, to be honest, is the real reason for Friday. :laughtwo: This is such fun I may schedule a harvest every year on my birthday. :slide:

I'm going to let the timing just be your call. Friday is your Birthday and that's a day most celebrate. Have a Happy Birthday while you just cut her down and trim her up.

:happybday::party::happybday:

I can envision you also dancing around with the trimmers.

I like this idea. Before or after the holidays?

Anybody else want in? We could do a thread. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm in! I've been thinking about this. I never really stared 'proper' cannabinoid therapy, just slipped into a daily thing with my vape and using the oil (from an unknown chemovar, not CBD) as needed for pain and sleep. I've got my first batch of self grown and self made CBD oil now so it'd be a good time to do it.

My vote would be for before the holiday season - so my system enters the period with a fresh palate, deeper healing and quite likely a higher high. After Sue's birthday of course!
Either way I'll likely do it next week and if you others are keener to wait, I'll do it again .

I've been wanting to read back over that material Sue, is it in the dosing thread or the ECS without Cannabis thread?

.

Edit: we have a tradition of birthday week here too (in this house). Ours starts 3days before and continues 3days after the 'actual' day. Have everything you desire is our theme for that week - but if I continue following the paths of manifesting deliberate joy you're showing us all Sue, well, we'll have to find a new theme because that is becoming relevant to every day! ;)

.

"Everything you desire..." Sounds like my kinda week. :cheesygrinsmiley:

It's the dosing thread Amy. The link is in my signature. I may well be ready for the desentizitation by next week Amy. I'm starting to eat brownies like they were just dessert. Lol! Are you familiar with Dr. Sulak's protocol?

Well guys, there's a new harvest approaching, which meant the fridge drawer needed to be emptied to make room for the Blue Dream.

Jarring It Up: Jamaican Bag Seed

She took 10 days from harvest to get dry enough to jar.

Gave me me over an ounce and a half. :yahoo:

I just checked, and it's reading 70% RH after two hours. I'll let it sit overnight and drop the humidity with rice until I get below 65%.

First one, in the jar. I'm hoping to get the clone into her 5-gallons of soil tomorrow. I start the day sitting at the bottom of the stairwell hoping to catch the FedEx guy who says he tried to deliver, but left no notice of said attempt. Then the girls can all be fed. :battingeyelashes: Depending on how I feel, I'll get the little one upcanned.

IMG_62549.JPG

I saved a piece out to taste. The smell of the buds is so tempting...... I have so much of everything in my system right now that I can't do a decent report on it. Lol! Sure is a tasty not though, and the smell when I crumbled the bud was fruity and full. The smoke report'll have to wait until next week.

IMG_623910.JPG

The chemovar'll test my abilities to shape them into something that will actually fit my space. It's the craziest plant I've ever watched grow. Beautiful buds and resistant to powdery mildew. It's a vigorious plant with the most interesting genetics, reminding me of something wild from the hills of Jamaica. After the protocol reset I think I'll use her exclusively for a few days. That should give me a good feel for her offerings.

Kinda neat to know Neiko and I are the only ones who grew this one. :cheesygrinsmiley: How special is that? :slide: Now it's time to learn to manage the clones to get the structure I want.

My house is like a rabbit warren, if you put the tents in the right way you can unzip one door and straight into another ;)

This sounds absolutely delightful Joe. :laughtwo: I've been playing with the image all afternoon. Lol!

Tis bloody good fun. I want to do the hallways to have a complete circuit but the missus has put her foot down :)

How have you been? Still danking the shizz out of stuff?

Mrs Chro framed a leaf from the first grow I done (without her knowledge or participation or collaboration) when we first lived together.

Plan to have them going down the hallway instead of the extended rabbit warren. Have you been framing yours for a while?

Lovely buds Joe. :high-five:

I started doing that on a whim about two months ago. It really began with my personal journal. One morning a leaf fell off a plant I was moving, and before I knew it I was taping it down to my pages. :laughtwo: I live by inspiration, though most times I have no idea where it's going.

At this point it's just laminating them down with packing tape. I hadn't considered framing any, but that sure looks tempting. My hallway has shadow boxes of fossils my husband framed, some of which are leaves. :cheesygrinsmiley: It sure would be nice to find a new home for them. They were a shared passion, but one from another time. Not something I'm comfortable giving to the thrift store.

:laughtwo: I do my best Joe. It seems you hang around canna greatness long enough you learn a thing or two. Lol! The plants are making me look really good these days. It's satisfying to have jars of it and more on the way. For the first time I'm making pain cream with two cups of infused grape seed oil made with 16 grams of bud with no anxiety that I'm using too much bud.

This is one of those things the people trying to restrict our access through regulation don't understand. Cannabis is much more than a recreational drug, and processing it into medicine takes more stock than their paltry plans will ever allow.

I'm holding to my vision of cannabis free from restriction for home growing, no more regulated than garlic. Call me a dreamer. Make my mother proud. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm a hoarder too. I've still got a box of 'special stones' I collected manically as a child. Bits of broken glass (emeralds) and pebbles I assured myself must have come from a meteorite ;)

Why the fossils? Sounds proper interesting, especially the leaves, I didn't know that could happen but imagine they look out of this world

I know a man who works at a world known garden who experiments with trying to bring old plant genus' back through finding petrified seeds and extracting their DNA. He likes a smoke so he's just waiting to find the dank that killed the dinosaurs and we're good to go ;)

Here's a lovely thought:"Laughter is like a reset button for your soul."

I'm watching a TED talk on laughter being the best medicine. Yeah....I never stop. :laughtwo:

Back to the Jamaican and my search for deeper understanding of the dynamic healing force we know as the ECS. RoorRip

Anthony McCarten, in another TED talk on laughter tells the joke

"I was asked how I'd like to die, if the choice were mine to make. After thinking about it I said I'd like to die like my father did, comfortably, in his sleep, not screaming, like his passengers."

Ahhh.... :laughtwo: This Jamaican is nice. Back for more. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Be sure not to suspend your normal sensibilities with TED. I like them too, but they tend to present some cutting edge ideas and the cutting edge of science is often just plain wrong. Studies and results can be very nuanced and newer scientific results lack the test of time given to older, more replicated data.

Specifically, TED gave a talk about the power of your pose when speaking. That data was later found to be very flawed.
The cutting edge can also be called the bleeding edge after all.

Your friend's plan sounds intriguing. :laughtwo: We used to work for a time in paleontology, both vertebrate and botanical, at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. It was a dream-come-true job for Dale. We kinda fell into it, but Dale had spent countless hours at the museum as a teenager and had a small collection that grew in size during our stint.

His passion for fossils turned into a nice collection that he framed. I think I have a post about it somewhere in my Spot thread. Now you have me curious....

I couldn't find one, so I put one together. :battingeyelashes: Dale's fossil collection.

That was fun to do. :cheesygrinsmiley:

:laughtwo: I hear ya.... How many times have I gone "WTH???" Lol!

Laughter, however, has been shown to be a superior healing modality. Makes perfect sense to me that the physical expression of joy would free the body of tension and flood the system with hormones conducive to spontaneous healing magic. From a healing perspective we joined the correct virtual community. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Good morning everyone

As I strolled past the finish tent I was compelled to grab the loupe and go checking. With all my focus on celebrating my birthday with a Blue Dream harvest I'd neglected to remember that the CBD Critical Cure is close to her finish too. I'll have two harvests tomorrow. :yahoo: :slide: :yahoo:

Tomorrow starts the period of time when DC 1.2 has this space all to herself. I'll be dropping the CFLs to act more as side lighting. Maybe I'll pull a bit more out of this girl.

Into the steamy shower and on with the day. I have an Alaskan Thunderfuck seed that really wants to be planted and a Jamaican that's screaming to be upcanned. Another joyful day in the life of a cannabis cultivator.

Take that joy I know I kickstarted, ramp it up a little more with childlike wonder at this marvelous universe we get the privilege of playing in and share that delight with life with anyone you can, without pulling in a restraining order, that is. I'll be doing my best to keep up with all that energy over here by the banks of the Mighty Mon. :ciao:

Very nice... Them flowers look ripe. Pretty pictures....
Hey, box them fossils... They might be the right tool to get a grandkid or some youngster interested in sciences. And I been meaning to ask about the flower room? Extra bathroom?

Keepem Green

That's my auxiliary grow space Woody, and no, it's not an extra bathroom. :laughtwo: It means I pee in the inky darkness after 6 PM. Not a recommended practice, using the only bathroom in the home, but one that seems to work well for me. If I had a partner at the moment it might not have been such a good fit. Gee, I guess it's a good thing I haven't met him just yet. :battingeyelashes:

Constant change

Some freshly recycled HB soil, liberally sprinkled with Roots!

IMG_62919.JPG

Can you hear her cries for more soil?

IMG_629211.JPG

This is the fabric pot version of root bound. To be honest, this is the first plant I've grown in fabric pots to grow roots this vigorious.

IMG_629312.JPG

Now that I have more soil under her I can begin positioning her limbs for greater symmetry.

While I was playing in the dirt I decided there wasn't a better time than the present to get this Alaskan Thunderfuck into its own soil. The seed's been in a bag with banana peels since the 6th of November. I air the seed daily and every three days switch out the peels for fresh.

The waiting game begins.

IMG_629711.JPG

It's a little crowded in here at the moment, but tomorrow CBD CC 2.7 gets flipped, opening up enough real estate to contain the Jamaican for a bit longer. When Candy Cane gets harvested Devil's Carn will slip into the closet and the Jamaican gets the Spa to herself.

Tomorrow I get to play canna Tetris all over again. :laughtwo:
