SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Wow, I had no idea how happy you would be. You are very welcome Sue.:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::Love:

You gave me the chance to revisit one of the sweeter memories of my youth. Of course I'm happy. :kisstwo:

Weekly Update: Clone and Veg Shelves - Friday, December 1, 2017

I spent a lot of time earlier this evening preparing this post, but it apparently didn't get posted. :laughtwo: If it turns up somewhere else I'd appreciate a head's up. Lol!

Let's give this another go. Lol! I must be high. I'm much more high right now than when I originally put this together, but here goes nothing. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The flowering post must have been confusing without the knowledge that today I only watered everyone, without nutrients. I have enough left in the RX bloom nutes for one more round and the new bottles shipped out today. Hopefully they'll arrive by Tuesday.

When I checked three days ago there wasn't any sign of roots. I think Carnival 4.6 is ready for some soil. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_606113.JPG

While I was over there playing with clone cuttings I decided this was a good time to get one of the Devil's Carnival cuttings into a plug. While I scraped the outer skin the Rapid Rooter plug soaked in a heavy dilution of aloe in distilled water.

IMG_60788.JPG

The stripped branch got slathered with aloe gel before being dipped in rooting hormone.

IMG_607912.JPG

I usually make a hole in the inverted plug with a piece of dried branch laying around. I keep them for aromatherapy. :battingeyelashes:

Add enough aloe water to keep the plug moist and close the inflated bag up.

Devil's Carnival 1.3

The cuttings in the cup will root when they get around to it. :battingeyelashes:

On to the Veg shelf.

Chem Dawg (Day 32, 14 in this pot) Her roots found the reservoir. Color improved appreciably and she started growing with even more vigor. This is one of the strongest chemovars I've grown. I'm looking forward to getting one to harvest. Lol! Next drench she'll move up to 10 ml per gallon of water, midway through the nutrient schedule for vegetation.

IMG_606213.JPG

Just look at the structure she has from the beginning!

IMG_606410.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.7 (Day 50, 35 in the pot) Holding steady at 12 ml per gallon of water, she's just waiting for her chance to get into flowering mode. As soon as her mother gets harvested she'll slip right into that vacant slot. I've been micro topping her leaders, letting the side colas catch up. She has about two more weeks to get to the right size.

Jamaican 1.1 (Day 43, 36 in soil) She recieved an Energy drench two days ago, and she's due for another Brix in the morning. She's holding pretty well in this one gallon pot. You see how she's taking over the real estate. :laughtwo:

IMG_606911.JPG

IMG_60707.JPG

She has the oddest way of growing, shooting the bottom branches out first, and then filling in the middle. She's doing it though, so who am I to complain?

IMG_607111.JPG

CBD Critical Cure 2.8 No signs of movement yet. Probably tomorrow.

IMG_60727.JPG

Carnival 4.6 (Just planted) I think she looks happy to have soil under her. It'll take her a couple days, but before we know it her roots'll grab the soil and she'll be off.

IMG_60769.JPG

Last, but not least

Malawi 1.2 (Day 32, 14 in the pot) She'll start the week with Chem Dawg, at 10 ml per gallon of water. Her roots also hit the reservoir just about two days ago, when her color and vigor noticably improved.

Looking mighty strong, by my eye. :slide: I'm really enjoying smoking the grandmother's blossoms.

IMG_607511.JPG

And THAT ladies and gentlemen, is the end of this crazy tour. :laughtwo:

IMG_60776.JPG

I love the way you all tolerate this crazy Pittsburgh woman. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Six pots on that shelf. Half are hempy, half are soil, with another clone rooting for soil. I believe the transition has shifted once again. Lol! I think the journal title is safe. It'll probably always be a hybrid grow. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

It's impossible to know for sure where any given path will lead one in the journey thru life. You go!

So true. :hugs: If bottled nutrients were more affordable it would have taken more time to shift back, but in my heart I'm a living soil kinda girl. :laughtwo: The kit is so affordable and so productive that it's a nobrainer in the end to stick with it, but hempy woke a passion in me I didn't know I had. I won't be able to stop playing with either method. I'll probably keep flipping the focus back and forth at my whim. As long as I can keep the daughter in her meds and me in mine it doesn't much matter which path I take.

I've always insisted on having it all. I don't think of it as greedy or entitlement, just that this is the way I'm happiest. Turns out the happier I stay the more interesting things the universe brings along to keep me happy. Kinda nice, the way that works out, isn't it?

Great update Sue...even if you were high AF...LOL!

Seriously, always nice to see your garden shine. Have a wonderful 420 day!

:laughtwo: You have no idea. Lol! I did the initial post while texting with TheRedDragon, posted that - or thought I did - then got caught up in another extended conversation with MrGreene while doing the flowering update. For some reason I went looking for that original post to show him something it included to find it wasn't there at all. Thankfully I wasn't so high that I completely missed the error.

I've had instances where I mistakenly posted updates on other threads. Lol! I may have done that once at your place, come to think of it. :laughtwo: This one may turn out to be one of the lost ones. Usually they turn up a day or two later and I get Teddy to edit them out. The staff is very tolerant of my Susan-anities too. :battingeyelashes:

It's curious though......I do a little joyful song inside my head every time I post anything, just as the post pops up in front of me, so it's odd that I didn't this time. Glad I caught it. Lol!

Good morning everyone

I wanted to share a post by AKgramma from the dosing and delivery thread. She's been experimenting with using dried and cured trim and smaller buds as an herb in her cooking. She doesn't decarb, but rather lets the plant material cure naturally. In this way she ingests a higher concentration of acid cannabinoids, which we speculated would eventually lead to a point where here aches and pains from osteoarthritis would begin to diminish.

She has just reached that miraculous point where the ECS has gained the upper hand. :yahoo:

That Pesky Anecdotal Evidence...

As I have mentioned a number of times, I dry and grind to powder the leaves, trim, and mini-buds to use as an herb when I cook. The last few days I have kept a small jar of said herb next to the stove, and have added a healthy pinch or three to my omelette in the morning, my soup/stew in the afternoon, and have a dozen meat loaf muffins in the freezer for that before-bed dose of cannabis. None of this is decarbed ahead of time, but is cured naturally in the fridge.

The way I use cannabis, it builds up in the body, but I don't get high. I know that the cooking partially decarbs it, but also keeps most of the other healing, pain-relieving compounds.

The cannabis finally built up in my body enough that today I had minimal pain getting around with my osteoarthritis. The only other pain meds are OTC's: acetaminophen and naproxen sodium, taken whenever the joints start to ache.

This is the first day in many months that my pain was at 2, instead of the usual 8 - 10.

It WORKS, folks! :cheertwo:

I don't know about you, but finding this post first thing this morning put me in a happier than normal mood. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Into the steamy shower with me and on to some tasty breakfast, to include my own version of gentle dosing. Think I'll make cheesy canna omelette today. I have a Blue Dream that won't mind making a fresh contribution to the cause.

IMG_60898.JPG

Get out there and be joyful guys. Have fun with it. I'll catch up later. :ciao: :green_heart:

When the low-hanging buds look like this you know you're growing the right chemovar. :slide:

Good morning Sweet one...A Blue Dream breakfast? You have some real shakin n bakin going on over there.

Finished the last harvest this morning. Now I suffer a little empty nest syndrome in the bloom tent. But all your flowering girls look so yummy. I think I might look into more of AKgramma's diet for my aches and pains. Chemdawg in my pipe this morning :bongrip:

Seems you're having a great day sharing that JOY! You know I love that!

Good morning Ms Sue :hugs:
Always so fun to go thru your garden with you, the ladies are looking stellar of course and I really am looking forward to that smoke report on the Malawi :slide: got a few in veg in our garden ( lol the veg girls are umm, lil old and all in 15's so should be fun) but not much going on in our garden right now just trying to finish up the switch from tents to rooms. Dabs is going to give a hand hanging the Panda tomorrow which is going to be a giant help, he's such a great person to help out. It's a pain in the back side putting it up so the help will be fantastic :circle-of-love:
Oooooo Sue, I've been to your city years ago..... cruising by the stadium by the river was impressive :high-five:, country boy in the city lmao, that was almost 40 years ago, shot some pool at a bar ( lol mouthy crew at that place) smoked a lil bud and had a few drinks. Was my first experience with what seemed to be a large house all divided up into apartments and of course the one I stayed in was on the top floor lol. Loved all the older buildings but the traffic, ummmm, not for me but great to experience.

Hope you have a wonderful Stoney Saturday :yahoo::slide::slide:RoorRip

Blessed Buds our friend and be well :passitleft: Malawi??? :thumb:

Good afternoon Sue :) I hope the Universe is treating you well today. Thanks to one of our members I put 3 F2 Ultra Dog in paper towel above the veg light today. I was wondering if we had a communal thread forthis in house strain? I figured if anyone started one it would be you :)

:peacetwo:

:peacetwo:

 No we don't mouser. Lol! We do have quite a few growing them now, don't we? Hmmm.... Considering the history of the chemovar, being the creation of our own neighborhood, that might not be a bad idea. To be honest, I hadn't considered it until now.

That makes a lot of threads for members to be checking in on. :laughtwo: I guess it's not like we all grow all of them at once...... If demand is there, I could be talked into starting one, but at the moment no dedicated thread exists. :battingeyelashes:

You're gonna love the smell mouser. I miss it. I have a jar of buds, but they don't smell the same as one in bloom. I have so many flowering plants in open spaces the apartment's continuiously perfumed. Right now the scent is Candy Cane mixed with Blue Dream. Mmmmmm.....

Ooo, Ooo.... I almost forgot why I stopped.

I just loaded in more than one picture at once into the gallery using the iPad. To those of you that don't use the iPad the significance may be lost, so let me explain.

In the three years I've been here I've loaded 25,463 images into the gallery. Most of those were using the iPhone, because I could load multiple pictures in at once. With the iPad it was one at a time. For the greatest part of my first year here I loaded one at a time from both devices. Look back sometime and consider the time invested in the daily updates. :laughtwo:

Hey, it kept me sane and creative while he was dying and my world looked like it was crashing. I got to be really, really fast at it. Lol!

I'd gotten so used to using the phone to load pictures that I stopped using the iPad for any pictures other than the occasional screenshot. It was limiting to have to continue loading them individually. Now I can load more efficiently. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thank you Rob

and crew :hugs:

High SweetSue,

Love those pics with the buds and trichomes! Beautiful plants!:goodjob:

I'm exhausted taking the nickel tour with you.

Looking GREAT Sue!!

How did I miss you???? Damn indicas making me fall asleep.

So good to see you again. I was just thinking about you. :hugs::hugs::hugs: How've you been? PM me dammit. :battingeyelashes:

There were just large updates to the mac OSs.... it may have been on that side too. Not that I want to steal a 'thanks' from the 420 folks.... it may have been them.

I have an older iPad, and I can't remember the last time they updated this one, but you could be right. We can't thank the crew enough though, IMHO. :cheesygrinsmiley:
