What sue you lost plants .
Oh my I know how it feels ...
Much love and rip medicine that will never get to be utilized to its potential ..
That was the hardest part of the loss, Joe. I'd never cut a plant I couldn't make some use of.
It's a matter of pride that I get the most out of every plant. I think it's the frugal Scottish blood that runs through my DNA.
How many quarts is the cooker, could I get by with a small one? say 3 qt?
Yes it is keltic. I left a query about the usefulness of the 3-quart one for our purposes on the FHO thread. Let's see what comes of it before we go running to buy.
This is one of my many charms.
I tend to be impulsive. I don't hesitate to admit I may have jumped the gun though, so I straighten it out quickly. It's just that this means I get to walk to the store with heavy boxes sometimes. Lol!
Sorry you lost some plants Sue, that happens sometimes. Glad you roll with the punches, it's a healthier response!
H2O2 again ... it's great stuff!
Hydrogen Peroxide cleans perlite (soak) really well and kills PM (30ml 3% H202/ 1 gallon H20) when sprayed on the leaves.
Its the most useful of any chemical I've used in growing, and it's basically harmless to MOST plants at 3%. Not all plants, but cannabis does well with H2O2.
I know a CoOp grower that drenches soil (non-organic) during flush with it to good effect, and H202 mists all of her veg plants every few days.
Be CAREFUL though, you might get hooked on 3% H2O2 and the cost will drive you to buy 35%. Handle and measure with care if using 35% H202, it's crazy what one little unstable highly reactive Oxygen atom can do.
Peace
Keith
You know I love you, right?
I'm thinkin' H2O2 foliars may become a regular feature in SweetSue's gardens after reading that.
It can burst it's bonds and loose that little O right into my pots! Oh I need to get another jug and play with some.
Many hydro growers use it to boost Oxygen levels in their water.
Do you use it in any regular way in your garden Tead?
Interesting thought I'd meant to share with you, my friend. You lit the fire of hempy, with the intention of sharing the easy method you use. I took it and went bigger. As I've gone on I'm seeing the wisdom of the garden you established - smaller pots, little trees that consistently supply you with what you need. You've found the middle ground for personal growing. I admire that.
I've always been attracted to the idea of planting a seed a day in solo cups. The budscicle approach turns out to be the way to get the best harvest, in terms of quality. The best oils are in the tops, and you get more of them in a budscicle grow.
And yet we keep getting sidetracked by big, beautiful plants.
You notice I'm thinking of shifting back to the smaller pots with hempy? I'm toying with the idea of perfecting the Osmo + too.
I guess what I'm saying is that every day I find myself thinking "That Tead is smarter than me. I need to pay closer attention to how he grows."
