SweetSue's Perpetual 3.0 - The Hempy/HB Hybrid Grow

Gotta love the Chems!

The fragrance is intoxicating PW. I wasn't expecting the profound sweetness, which the daughter identifies as an abundance of linalool. This cut is a Dinafem Chemdawg, I believe. If I'm wrong Hash Hound will correct me. I'm chomping at the bit as a cultivator to get her moving along so I can use the space. :laughtwo: When they get this close I get itchy trimming fingers. Lol! Letting them have that final couple weeks is still a struggle every cycle.

Getting ready to start breakfast, at long last bet I end up doing drenches first Lol! - and I'm mulling over what I grow and why. This year I'd like to find the sweet spot for my garden, so it's time to become more deliberate.

You know.... I wrote that, and as soon as it went down onto the page I found myself tumbling back over my growing journey, to the defining moments I let fall into my existence, like
- opening my first secondary thread, thinking it was going to be the only one I opened beyond my grow journal :rofl:
- having PeeJay suggest Carnival :yahoo:
- stumbling into TassieDevil's off-topic thread and meeting Cajun
- deciding to go to Jamaica, and bringing back seeds that turned out to be a perfect match for my baby's ECS

Ok..... I'll be deliberately joyful and let the universe guide me. :cheesygrinsmiley: The voice of reason that keeps suggesting things I "should do" can take a seat over on the edge and hold a purring kitten. :laughtwo: I'll let the garden evolve in the fluid manner it's been displaying. I'm still getting used to the flow, and right now things are looking pretty good. :battingeyelashes:

Silly me. :laughtwo:

That banner over my name has a long list of contests I've won. Each of them, with the exception of the Gallery win was accompanied by an MB2. I've given all but two away. I used the first one until the handle fell apart. :laughtwo:

One can grind and fill capsules and you'll get cannabinoids in,band the THC will be converted to 11-hydroxy - my fVorite euphoric component :cheesygrinsmiley: - but you won't get the bioavailability increase of the carrier oil and liquid sunflower lecithin. So, if you're using cannabis for recreation, or you're a patient with a lack of equipment and supplies, yes, this is a good option.

Have a serious disease state you're treating with an eye to systemic healing? I'd use an infused oil or a formulation like biobombs and I'd use every method I could comfortably fit into the regimen to increase that bioavailability - apignen, mandolin, green tea, dark chocolate, you name it. If it's going to keep the liver enzymes busy while I dose with cannabinoids or clean up those methyl groups blocking CB receptors, I'm gonna be all over it to give my healing ECS the best chance I can.

And the entire time, with every dose, I'll envision the celebration of joy going on in my cellular community that reserve troops have arrived. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Rec use is a valid and important part of the cannabis experience. It concerns me that the push to include cannabinoid therapies hasn't stopped this national obsession with "the dangerous side effects" of the act of feeling f*n good. I, and many more of you than I can count, function best in a heightened state of euphoria. According to our legislatitive bodies it's apparently not in the best interest of our planet that the populations heal and feel good most of the time. I'm learning to look past the concern to a brighter future without prohibitionary mindsets.

It's disconcerting to realize how easy it was for them to bamboozle an entire planet full of people. The propaganda goes so deep I can barely discuss cannabis with the seniors. I've been warned by the coordinator that this group contains individuals that will turn me in, believing they were saving me from the devil's lettace. I have my ways. :battingeyelashes: I'll start plying them with pain cream. :cheesygrinsmiley: I don't have to tell them I grow it. I don't know a single one in the group that uses a computer.

Thank you for the compliment. The record keeping's been an evolving thing. I'm really liking the cards on the wall. It's so easy to get a quick overview. As they develop I'll have more info on the cards, and I'm thinking of redesigning the flow sheets, although they look to be doing the job well. When I started taping leaves down the right side of the front I suddenly understood why I'd designed the layout that way. :laughtwo:

How funny that you should mention the records. I had the papers out on the floor, thinking of doing a card for every plant I've grown. Someday that may happen, but it's an extensive list.

These are the current flow sheets, dating back to late 2016

IMG_87905.JPG

And these are the stacks of cycle flow sheets that were from the first two years of my growing adventure.

If I'm going to actually learn from the art of cultivation some sort of record keeping is necessary. With me it's easy to go overboard. I have a love of turning data into visual. :laughtwo:

I've broken my new rule about not reaching for the iPad before I shower and meditate by posting this, so let me get back to starting my day on the right foot. :slide: I'll be back later with pictures of the changes in the Spa. Until then, keep on with your own joyful adventure. Remember to grab all the hugs you can. Hugs are a healing force in their own right. The daughter and I get at least one a day in, held lovingly for three slow breaths, a practice I recommend with loved ones to create better bonding and a healthier ECS.

Be boldly joyful my friends. I'll catch up to you all later. :ciao:

Please don't break any rules on my account, I can wait until after you get hot wet n nekkid and have your mind expanded by clearing it.

I've noticed your long list of accomplishments, journals, and community learning/sharing stuffs (some, certainly not all). You're an angel aren't ya, sent down from on high (heh get it?) to help us battered and broken humans heal. An angel with cannabis wings. Seriously, anyone with photoshop skills wanna turn Sue or any cannabis activist into a cannabis angel with weed wings? Weed wings! Or maybe a weed peacock. With buds instead of creepy eyeballs.

The Magical Butter Machine 2 was already on my next order list but thankyee very much for the praise of the thing, it's good to know I've made a good decision getting one before I've even got it.

I've actually come to a point where I'm finding it difficult to separate recreational from medicinal. For me there's some clearly medicinal stuff I want it for, like seizures and nausea or insomnia, but other stuff gets a bit murky. I've got a Green Crack flowering and Jack Herer as a seedling because I want the Sativa effects to help me get active, and I consider something that can help me get motivated and active and get fit as a medicine, even though technically in my situation it wouldn't be considered a medicine because "lacking the social support and energy and/or motivation to get fit or do anything" isn't a disease or symptom of disease. And that's not even going into the realm of the psychological stuff. Or the many different effects I'm looking for. So yeah I like to smoke and watch a movie or play a game, but something that can help me relax and focus, regardless of what I'm focusing on (a game, spreadsheet, grow journal, or writing an article), should be considered medicine. If it can help me heal, help me be a better person, to be more active and social, help me to work and contribute to the community, then hells yeah it's a medicine and I should be able to use it, even if I do sometimes smoke it to be completely unproductive and watch a comedy show and laugh my ass off.

Your record keeping is brilliant. Especially the more shortly informative cue card type things with leaves. I'm not sure the exact size of those bits of paper but would cue cards work? Only things is they'd be set horizontal instead of vertical, unless there's vertical cue cards. On the plus side they're lined which could mean more info. I've got me a little notebook to keep note of what genetics, when planted, when harvested, weight, etc (no leaf though), but your cue card type thingies looks pretty useful especially as a single glance final result type thing.

As for the propaganda surrounding cannabis, well that's another story. And it's something I hope a new journal for discussion can be set up. There's so much information about why weed was made illegal in the first place but most of it doesn't reach the public. There's a whole bunch of stuff right there that needs to be picked apart and exposed because cannabis being made illegal in the first place was a crime against humanity that was forced on us by a bunch of power mad control freaks like Sessions, governments, and by extension, police (I know Sessions didn't put such laws in place but he's trying to keep them in place, and police don't write the laws but they do enforce them).

I'd be picking apart the whole weed being illegal thing right now but I'z been drinking and my brain no work. Stupid booze. I so can't wait till my good genetics get to harvest so I can smoke more and drink less. Our society, or specifically our government and corporate overlords, say cigarettes and alcohol are fine and legal but cannabis is bad and illegal and dangerous and really bad n stuff and "good people don't smoke cannabis" and cannabis is only "slightly less awful than heroin". Our society is backwards. Planet Earth is an insane asylum and the truly insane people have taken over and run the show. Sue, you've noticed that. You've expanded your awareness and broken out of the mental prison which almost everyone else is still stuck in. What happens if someone (or almost the entire human race) has been born into and grown up in an insane asylum? If that's what you're exposed to daily from birth then insanity is 'normal'. And if someone comes along from outside the insane asylum and tries to point out the insanity, what happens? "I'm not crazy, you are!". Society is frequently manipulated and those means of manipulation are only getting more advanced and intrusive and further reaching (Facebook, Google, and mainstream media before them), but on the plus side, more and more people are starting to wake up and see the massive abuses of power, government corruption and lies, corporate destruction of people and planet for profit, etc. Hopefully we can get to a point where the entire human race says "Fuck government, grow weed and be happy and healthy."

I'm doing something. You're all invited to join me on the journey down this path. I usually don't choose paths... they tend to choose me, but when you want to get something done, sometimes you have to weight the Hand of Fate just a touch.

I'm going to save you the 'why' bit of the speech... if you need that info, you'll not be inclined to join this path anyway.

Let's get to the point. I'll just blurt it out. I'm growing a plant for SweetSue. I'm going to do one from start to finish specifically for her. When the plant is finished, I'm going to send any proceeds from that plant to SweetSue. It's my desire that she takes a tour visiting various growers along her travels. I leave all choices in her capable hands and desire no involvement in her travel decisions except to participate in the endless discussions this will generate.

I see things in my world that need doin. Sometimes, I get off my ass and do something about it. Not often mind you, but sometimes, and this one has been floatin in my noggin for a long time now.
I'm sure she'll chime in with the usual socially pleasant objections to all this. I'll be ignoring her when she does, so perhaps she'll not bore us with all that noise. Of course, there could be a real funtional objection she could raise... ya know, like her Parole Officer won't allow her, or perhaps a ruptured spleen, but it's gonna have to be way beyond any simple blushing.

So... feelin the need to walk that path with me? Should be fun. I can devote one plant's space and resources to the effort easily and happily. I love the idea of spreading knowledge across the country like Johnny Appleseed and I'd cast Sue in that role all day long. Can you even begin to imagine the knowledge sharing?

Good Lord, why would I object to that? It's one of my goals in life to meet as many of you as I can. You have no idea what this means to me.

I'm gonna step aside for a moment and take a couple hits of this DDA until the tears stop falling.

I'm game. Who's in? :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: I just asked the daughter tonight if she was ready to start learning to grow, and she said "Almost there Mom."

These are the "acceptable conditions" under Pennsylvania's new medical cannabis law.

Does anyone else find it disconcerting that the programs are not being put together as "medical cannabis" but rather "medical marijuana"? As long as we allow them to deny that it's cannabis they vilified they'll continue to ignore it. Cannabis never was, nor will it ever be the dangerous narcotic it was portrayed as. Calling it "cannabis" lends an air of legitimacy to the program, IMO.

Ok..... Off the soapbox. :laughtwo:

From my local Representative, Paul Costa:
"Pennsylvania's Medical Marijuana Program allows for the use of medical marijuana products for individuals diagnosed with one of the following severe, debilitating, or life-threatening medical conditions:
* Cancer
* HIV/AIDS
* Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
* Parkinson's disease
* Multiple Sclerosis
* Epilepsy
* Inflammatory bowel disease
* Chron's disease and ulcerative colitis
* Huntington's disease
* Post-traumatic stress disorder
* Glacoma
* Sickle cell anemia
* Autism
* Damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord
* Seizures
* Terminal illness
* Severe chronic or intractable pain

It's important to note that the state's Medical Marijuana Act limits medical marijuana to be distributed in the forms of a pill, oil, topical cream, vaporization, tincture, and liquid. The Medical Marijuana Act does not allow for the dry leaf or plant form of marijuana."

We'll get that amended before long. First off, why the fear of leaf? No one wants to be smoking leaf, do they? Anybody here? :battingeyelashes:

Even when they go recreational, which is kinda inevitable, they'll probably still refuse to give us the right to grow. But growing means you can work out fresh plant material to juice or ingest in some other way, so that the acid cannabinoids and the valuable nutrients cannabis offers as a food can keep the population from becoming "sick enough" to qualify for the program.

Or am I looking at the world through rosy-colored glasses again? I'm starting to look at states that would permit me to grow simply because I'm a free citizen of these here United States, by God. WTH? It's as valuable for good health to be the one growing cannabis, much less using it as a daily part of life. How do we get them to see that the fear is misplaced?

It's always going to be less expensive to produce my own cannabinoid medicines from plants I grow myself. That's beyond the peace of mind I gain from knowing what's in that medicine. Or the fact that the plant will grow the medicine the cultivator needs. It's almost uncanny how they do that, but if it's being grown in a corporate setting, do you really believe they're going to be getting the terpene expressions we get from our girls?

I think not. I think it's a slap in the face of every intelligent citizen to tell us we don't have the right to grow cannabis. When do they decide we can't grow garlic in our yards?

Awesome.... get that young Jedi up to speed. I've laid a bit much in both your laps without asking. Sorry.

No need to apologize my friend. :laughtwo: Just yesterday I was having a conversation with my cosmic companions about how ready I was to be traveling and meeting more of the members. I wasn't expecting it to kick off overnight. It says a lot about my readiness. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Deliberate manifestation. I have a desire and express it to the universe with absolute faith that it's being tended to and will materialize when I'm aligned enough to allow it in.

Ask, recieve, allow, ask again. Sure is fun. :cheesygrinsmiley:

A little update on all the fun I had today. :battingeyelashes:

I potted up another little Jamaican solo hempy. I'm still not sure where the solo cup thing is going, but I'm ok with continuing on when the inspiration hits. There's another one sprouting root too, so it'll likely find its own hempy solo in a day or two.

Please welcome Jamaican 1.5.

SweetSue has finally graduated to daisy glass screens. I've messed around with wire screens in the bong long enough. I'm loving these already.

IMG_88132.JPG

The ad says they're reusable but cheap enough to toss. When I read that I immediately thought "Honey, you don't smoke as much or as often as I do." :rofl:

I'm using them to smoke more of that year-old DDA. It's almost time to plant more. :slide: Well.... Malawi has to finish first. Lol!

Those in power do not give a shit about the people, all they care about is maintaining and expanding the status quo of power, profit, and control.

Many of these cannabis laws being passed expose the status quo. They don't want us growing our own because that means freedom and health for us and less profits for corporations and less power and control for governments to exercise their 'right' to kick peoples doors down and destroy families in the name of 'protecting' us from the devils lettuce. Most people should be able to tell by now in the 21st century that the 'System' and those in power do not want people to be happy, healthy, free, or to not be in debt. They want people enslaved and indebted to the economic system. They want people unhappy and unhealthy because happy and healthy people don't get suckered into the "ask your doctor" crap where they become nothing but cash cows for Big Harma.

Cannabis being made illegal in the first place and it being kept illegal has nothing to do with protecting people from some dangerous or harmful substance, it's all about the status quo of power, profit, and control. Those in power seek to profit from the control of people and planet (and plants).

This cut is a Dinafem Chemdawg, I believe. If I'm wrong Hash Hound will correct me.

Sue

Dinafem actually calls it Dinachem, its based on crossing different Chemdawg cuts.

Gettin ur ass kicked by a simple MJ grow ehh? Humbling after all these years.
Fun to see from the outside. I kinda never get the joy of a perfectly dialed in world, so I can't relate so much, but I feel your pain none the less.
Remember... when the roots of a auto hit the bottom, it switches to bloom. I suspect this idea may be the root of many of your issues.
As Sue mentioned, growing autos from start to finish in their permanent pot would seem to be the best configuration.

Krewe du Vieux rolled Saturday. Jealous?

Is that lipstick/chapstick pushers with cream in them?!?!
Tead has to tip his hat to that idea. Awesome!

So if one could use a pot on an auto that took a long time to for roots to rootbound.........does that. Mean that in theory that plant would be bigger giving better yield!???:volcano-smiley:

The longer it takes the taproot to hit bottom the longer you'll have to veg an auto. I don't know how they work in hydro, but in soil you need to know that when the tap root hits bottom they bloom. Longer veg typically results in increased yields.

The solution, as I see it, is to focus on community education. I'd venture to say that the vast majority of our populations know nothing of the true history of cannabis. They by and large bought the lies as fact. Finding ways to develop conversations in small settings may be the way to go. It's a groundswell that always makes the greatest impact.

We could hand out a lot of pain cream at the talks. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Being angry about it isn't helping us. Being frustrated by the imposition of draconian restrictions to a plant just feeds the negative energy that keeps us from the solution. I struggle with this daily, and I'm resolved to stay focused on the joyful expectation that sanity will regain a foothold on our planet before I die. Cannabis is more food than anything. It wasn't that long ago that the seeds were a staple in the diet, and it's absence has likely contributed mightily to the current state of ECS disruption all around the planet. We went from feeding our bodies the food evolved to be a perfect fit to having access completely restricted.

For months I've been feeling my way to a dialogue, or series of dialogues that would offer a more informed understanding of our basic biology and how cannabis factors into the healing force we all walk around with.

Our governments went to great expense to convince us cannabis was dangerous. Those who hold to the belief that their governments are always looking out for their best interests will be the most resistant to that message. I'd particularly like to find peaceful ways to counter their attacks, should they come.
