Sweetsue's First Grow - Stealthy Trio of Autos Under CFLs

Woo hoo looking awesome Sue! I'm definitely going to have to wash my buds. Between 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 humans I could probably make another creature off of all the gunk that I'm sure is going to be on my girls!

You could get that creature to water your plants for you :)

Daily Update: THC Bomb Auto, Day 83

It's a Day 83 and she's still going strong. I checked her trichomes today after turning her and topping off the reservoir (one quart) and although there are some areas with more amber for the most part she is still strongly cloudy. There appear to be new clears as well.

Dale needs me today. It's a new and intimidating world for him and he was a bit down that I took so much time away yesterday, so I'm just going to throw the pictures up and run.

Enjoy her beauty. We're going to miss her when she's harvested.

The empty pot took two cups of water to top off. I hope to get the redressing of the surface done this weekend so it can sit for a while before replanting. It still gets turned every day too.

HARVEST (Buddha Magnum Auto): Wet weights

I couldn't resist taking a wet weight. I wanted to give them an overnight to let most of the bud washing weight evaporate. Here's the tally.

I count 11 oz. I realize that includes the weight of some serious branches, but I'm ok with that. I needed a reference point so I could see for myself how much weight is water.

Yeah. I'm feeling a little proud.

You'll end up with about 20% of the total wet weight, after trimming, etc. So, right around 2 oz which is an INCREDIBLE yield for CFL.

Thanks all (blush), and thanks Doc. That's what I was estimating. It's good to know I'm honing my instincts.

:goodjob: :thanks:
Sue, I think you've done a great service to the community in demonstrating that living soil and the nutrients it provides is a more important factor than what type of light one uses for indoor growing. We humans often think we know more than we actually do; creating a proper environment for Mother Nature to work her magic is all we need to do and then get out of the way.
:bravo:

Feeling a little proud??? Honey you should feel AMAZING!!! I cant stop saying you did one hell of a tremendous JOB Sue. Cant wait for dry bud-shots and smoke reports.

Being a CFL grower myself I have to take your grow as a standard for CFL yield, you proof its possible, so I gots to work on my yield, how?? I got no clue...

Keep'em green Sue
:peace:

Talk about unbelievable....s

I reckon you'll be entering the Bomb in the PotM Contest Sue? :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm looking through my pictures for good candidates for submission MaxYields. She is a beauty and the excitement she's generated certainly qualifies her, don't you agree? I'll be submitting bright and early on the first. Thanks for the encouragement.

It's the soil danishoes. This highly mineralized soil LOS and High Brix are using is the key to success. Both methods are successful and simple to duplicate. Start small and work up to it. Anyone can duplicate it. On the organic thread in my sig we walk people through the process for LOS. The information and expertise on Doc's HB Q&A thread will walk you through HB. Sooner or later it can happen for you too danishoes.

I am bursting with excitement. It hasn't dissipated at all. In fact, it's increased as I review the photos on Buddha. What a rush! :laughtwo: My next grow in this soil should be just as good if not better. THAT'S going to be fun.

I hope you get member of the month this time as well.

I appreciate the sentiment CC, but that would really surprise me. I'm honored to have been nominated two months in a row. Now plant of the month? That would be a rush! The Bomb really wants a run at that. :laughtwo:

You're in the top 3 I think...It's not really about winning, though. I know I would be flattered to know if even one person recommended me. Just means enough people appreciate you here, which is the only thing that really matters. :) That's my end goal at least...just to try to help as many people as possible.

You should try submitting for bud of the month too! POM is too subjective I think. Some people are looking at how dank a plant looks, some are looking at size, and some (like me) are looking at the whole overall care and appearance of the plant. BOM just comes down to how pretty that bud looks:volcano-smiley:

Great job Sue.

I noticed a few pages back your wash mix was bubbling at first.

The reason your wash mix fizzed up so much is you should never add ingredients together like that.
You should have added one of them to the water first, then add the other.

I had to take a class once about mixing pesticides and fertilizers, and that's one of the few things I remember.

Hey HH. That bubbling pitcher was actually nothing more than water and malted barley grain, the first step to my favorite enzyme tea. The Ful-Power, kelp meal and aloe vera juice aren't added until I'm ready to drench. The barley just bubbles like mad. I like to think its because it's brimming with marvelous stuff to feed my soil, just dancing to get to work. :laughtwo:
