SweetSue's Cannabis Oil Study Hall

First of all, your daughter WOULD qualify for a medical card and YOU would qualify as her caregiver...trust me, I can help you through the process....and become legal...

This is my ultimate goal, to be a legal caregiver. My greatest desire, aside from finally having my next soulmate fall at my feet some glorious day :laughtwo: is to be growing legal. I want a barn full of plants Shawnee. You can understand that. :battingeyelashes:  I'm working on a plan that might bring me the barn in the end, and eventually all the states will be legal, so I stand a good chance of becoming a part of the cannabis entrepreneurial movement. When the time comes I'll call on your expertise.

This is a life's goal.
I am on the idea of Cajun.. And of course a BIG barn of my own weed garden to treat people.
And a coffee shop for the goodies :) I do make a killer cappuccino :hugs:
hugs to you too Shawnee haven't seen you lately :hugs:

Sue: Magnesium oil might be hard to find in some areas. I take a magnesium malate pill every night for leg cramps with my other supplements, including the capsules. These are 425 Mg each, but the bottle advertises 1250 per serving. but I only take one, instead of the recommended 3. I sure know it when I forget to take them, tho!

There are other Magnesium formulae, and I don't know the difference between them, but I generally go by the strength of the individual pill, and how many I need to take to prevent the night cramps.

I read that AKgramma and suddenly found myself wondering why I don't ever have leg cramps, which led me to wondering what foods I might be eating on a regular basis that'd be high in magnesium. I found this list of the top 10 foods.

Spinach — 1 cup: 157 milligrams (40% DV)
Chard — 1 cup: 154 milligrams (38% DV)
Pumpkin seeds — 1/8 cup: 92 milligrams (23% DV)
Yogurt or Kefir — 1 cup: 50 milligrams (13% DV)
Almonds — 1 ounce: 80 milligrams (20% DV)
Black Beans — ½ cup: 60 milligrams (15% DV)
Avocado — 1 medium: 58 milligrams (15% DV)
Figs — ½ cup: 50 milligrams (13% DV)
Dark Chocolate — 1 square: 95 milligrams (24% DV)
Banana — 1 medium: 32 milligrams (8% DV)

Of the foods listed there spinach is my favorite vegetable, I have yogurt every single day, black beans are preferred over any others, avocado is a staple, as is dark chocolate, and I love figs. Bananas tend to give me heartburn if eaten at the wrong time of the day, so I only have one or two a week. That's seven out of the ten a regular part of my diet. I'm doin' well. :battingeyelashes:

Hey, Sue!! I'm still in my research mode - taking my time, as I usually do :D I'm just that personality type.

I wanted to chime in as an advocate of magnesium chloride (magnesium oil). It is the first thing that has gone a looooooooooong way to helping heal my anxiety and sleep issues. Truly. I douse my skin in tons magnesium oil twice a day and do an abdominal massage every evening with it, as well. It is the reason I don't have panic attacks daily. It makes my skin super ugly, though, for many months, until eventually it becomes brown wrinkly skin and starts to peel (for another few months). But the skin underneath is very nice :). It has made warts and skin tags fall off, which is good, too.

Also, I am quite optimistic about legalization, but I wonder about the restrictions and hoops, too. Before I contacted you, Sue, I was considering going the medical card route, but then I became very worried about my health insurance status. My insurance, as somebody who has nothing that requires much care at all, is astronomical and absurd SIMPLY because I was officially diagnosed with acne, PMS and anxiety. I have NO idea how the insurance world sees medical cannabis use. And, as somebody with general anxiety issues, those fears just make things worse :).

How awesome will it be someday if you opened a business and were free to ship country-wide your amazing products??? However, as many times as my dog's Canna-Pet and prescriptions have been stolen by my postal employees, maybe that's not a great idea ;).

From my studies, magnesium chloride flakes are what you want to acquire. It is much more efficiently absorbed through the skin than taking orally. I buy mine on the jungle site and is sourced from the Zechstein seabed in the Netherlands. I am not sure why it would discolor skin or make it peel. I have given spray bottles of it to several people that have not had any issues with it. In fact one 80 year old lady I gave it to has been using it on her legs nightly for quite some time with out issues.

SaraLinni, getting a cannabis medical card should NOT affect your health insurance status...our country has HIPPA laws for traditional medical privacy and the nonsharing of any kind of health data period with anyone outside of you and your doctor....a state medical cannabis program is also a private affair under the HIPPA laws....I would advocate you getting one, with no worries of invasion of privacy...I hope that helps and soothes your anxiety about any ramifications....:high-five:

There you are Sara. :hugs:

My daughter has a severe anxiety disorder, with all the accompanying panic attacks and agoraphobia. When we got her up to four capsules a day of a balanced strain her entire mental state improved. Anxiety attacks are no longer the norm, but are reduced to the occasional annoyance.

There's much hope for you ahead Sara. :battingeyelashes:

This concern about the insurance wouldn't be a concern if the country would wake up and demand universal health care. Just sayin'.

Hi Sue,

I mostly lurk and read read read......obviously I don't have a journal...33 years in IT have made me pretty skittish about posting a journal...since you don't watch TV, there is a lot of hacking going on by the Russians in the DNC computer systems and talk of Putin rigging the elections...

You all are the true heroes in my life these days....those of you who choose to grow in non-legal states in stealth mode to advocate for your health....there is nothing more inspiring in my world than that....hell, I am in a legal medical state but still remain "on guard" as a single woman living alone.....and a tough one, too, I might add....but I grow kick ass weed, with no desire to advertise....I am always floored when I get a compliment from someone who has tried my buds, because I toil alone and try to better myself and expand each and every month :Namaste:
Regarding the Russians, be aware that at this stage there is no proof they are hacking and trying to influence the election. The 'powers that be' are doing what they always do to manipulate public opinion and create smoke screens by putting out propaganda. They need a war, and the Russians are just as good as anyone. They have been poking and prodding the Russians for some time now. They are so bloody reckless - thermo-nuclear war is not a game that either side could win. See how our government really cares for our well-being?

Yes, my magnesium oil is magnesium chloride. Apparently some of us have this reaction with skin. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but when it finally peels, the skin underneath is amazing and thicker. It even healed toes and toenails that were misshapen, colored and thickened from running my whole life. I'm just glad I discovered this before I used it on my face :). I was told that if I soaked in baths with higher concentrations of the magnesium chloride, it would hurry this along, but I'm not concerned anymore. Not now that I know it gets better. Most people don't have this at all - just wanted to put it out there in case it happened and scared someone :).

Oh, man. This makes me feel so much better!! Thank you. I had no clue how this worked, and I didn't want to make things worse for me. The insurance and medical world has already been.... something ;) With your guys' help, I already feel ready to go forward on my own if I need to, but knowing that I CAN (and probably will) find somebody to help me along makes me happy!!

Thank you!!!! I'm so happy your daughter is doing better with your help. I think the agoraphobia that has taken hold has surprised and affected me the most. Based on what was happening with my life and health, the anxiety and then the panic weren't even surprising to me. The agoraphobia that slowly started eating away at my life over the years HAS BEEN, on the other hand, a surprise, and maybe the worst part.

I worked on Bernie's Campaign this election, and now a huge portion of his volunteers are together working so hard for these very issues. The turnout for Colorado's medical reform was amazing!!!! I honestly think that we are going to see huge, wonderful changes in the near future (with some of the horrible regressive pushback expected, as well). The public is awake and ready to make change. We'll show that in spite of our psychopathic government, we're going to create a system that gives a damn.

Take heart Sara. The agoraphobia's definitely going to be a controllable issue. My daughter uses her vaporizer to keep her medicated before she leaves the apartment, so she can stay out longer, but when she was up to three capsules the fear of reaching for the doorknob stopped. When she hit four capsules she discovered that she could wake up in the morning feeling good and looking forward to the day, something she'd NEVER felt on a regular basis before a few months back.

Your life's going to change and all for the better. :hugs:

:hugs: happy to offer up some support as well.

Thank you :hugs:Sue:hugs:

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::goof::goof::goof:

Some random hugs for anyone that needs one, and a little silliness.
Thanks, I needed that! :Namaste:

Sure do!! Thank you :). Related to why I needed this, I will clearly need help finding the right product for intolerable menstrual cramps. I now live in a place that I can't walk like I used to, and it's clearly caused problems in this area.

It surely will :hugs:
Sara welcome to the magazine and to the so totally best thread for you !!

Thank you so much!! Even had I never decided to start finding this for myself, I believe in the need for cannabis to reach the people who do need it so much. I'm thrilled this place is here and you guys are doing just that.

Good evening Sue, we hope all is well in your world. Just stopping by to give thanks to our Guardian Angel for all the help you provide us and to drop a little train wreck off to you :-)
:passitleft:

And a bud pic, thank you sue, you are AWESOME!!!!!
