SweetSue's Cannabis Oil Study Hall

Try to imagine why doctors across the country see no use for cannabis as a first line of treatment or even as a treatment at the end stage. They consciously turn a blind eye to patients needing help.

You have to understand how doctors are trained, and the insidious way the pharmaceutical industry manipulated physicians with money and gifts. They maintain this policy that only randomized studies are of any relevance, and lacking that evidence because cannabis is listed as a schedule one drug they refuse to see the evidence before them. They also sidestep their complicity in allowing the opiod epidemic to persist. And for keeping the chemo system cranking in the big bucks when they're really complicating matters and making it worse.

My daughter maintains it'll take the current doctors retiring or dying off. She has faith in her generation to be more informed as they enter the medical arena. Soon the anecdotal evidence will be backed by clinical documentation and the message of cannabis as a healing plant will be impossible to ignore.

I do understand.... How can they not see what the opiate epidemic, of which they're apart has done to the young and old alike. How can they not see the pain and suffering from the cancer victims and their families. How can they say there is nothing left for them to do to make these same patients comfortable. How can they allow the medical association to not do the testing of cannabis and stand up to the DEA?...... Aahh, there's no end in site

There is an end Jerry. We may not see it clearly, but the change back to holistic healing practices is inevitable.

Your biggest challenge is that it's only been a couple decades since we learned we have an endocannabinoid system. Most doctors are oblivious to that. Students weren't taught about it in schools. Hell, two years ago I wasn't aware it existed. Until the average citizen not only knows the name of the system but also understands the significance of the cannabinoids and the healing potential of the ECS it's going to be frustrating at times.

All change can be disruptive, but things work together for good, and that principal applies here as well.

hi Danolo yes I'm doing a slow reduction from 5 to 6 cups I'm down to 1 this week then I'll stop. I've read you can get a caffeine withdrawal headache which I'd like to avoid. In my case I'm hoping to eliminate all things that can cause inflammation.

OMG, stop caffeine????????

I have 4 to 8 cups of dark roast per day. Starbuck's Verona.

I KNOW you are right, O'bear, but but but...

I quit most sugar a few years ago, with an occasional slip into chocolate. But stopping caffeine???? I dunno...

I will try..

Are you cutting down slowly, or cold turkey on the coffee?

Your lucky if you have only read about caffeine headache, they throb and pound the head intensely:thedoubletake:.

I've found for me anyway, that just one cup of coffee a day keeps the throbbing headache at bay. But I usually have two.....
If for some reason I miss out on the caffeine I just have a slight stiffness at the top of the head.

My daughter has a caffeine problem like yours, and she tried numerous times to get away from Diet Pepsi, only to be forced to drink it again to quell the headaches. Since I put her on a capsule regimen that concern has vanished along with so many others. As long as she maintains her dosing schedule there are no caffeine headaches, no panic attacks, and no migraines.

I told my children to choose their addictions wisely. She now understands the value of that directive. Thank goodness her mother discovered the medicinal value of cannabis.

Have you tried a regular capsule regimen Jerry?

Yikes me thinks I'll do a little reading about reduction timing. Today its first 1 cup day and ok so far but I don't want to bring on that pain nonono

Results of the Lipton Tea caffeine poll are in:

Mgs of caffeine per 236 ml (that must match something) serving

100 Coffee
55 Lipton black tea
40 Lipton Green tea

I'm wondering if those migraine headaches go away and how soon after a period of no caffeine intake ? They sound not fun at all

My daughter went as long as two weeks with no relief in sight. She always gave up at that point, and I don't blame her. The cannabis oil did it. No desire for caffeine anymore and no headaches.

Sue, what do you mean by a regular capsule regimen?

Either BioBombs made with CCO or capsules filled with a potent canna-infused oil, administered on a regular daily schedule designed to keep a continuious supply of cannabinoids and terpenes in the system to assist the ECS.

It's not so much what you take that'll make the biggest difference in relief, it's consistency of dosing and making sure you dose 3-4 times a day. Even micro-dosing should be more often than once or twice a day, if you're looking for more than symptom relief. The cannabinoids are only useful medicinally for so many hours, and we don't leave any block of time uncovered.

I'm fine drinking a little coffee, if I stop for whatever reason I'm OK in one or two days without.

Good to hear. My daughter wishes that'd been the case with her.

Oh, recreational eating again are we Sue :) lol

Lol, oh the horror.

OMG, stop caffeine????????

I'm craving coffee now.

Why would they change a system that exists solely for them to be successful?

.....but the change back to holistic healing practices is inevitable.

A change back to holistic? I sure wouldn't hold my breath on that. With billions at stake?
No, I wouldn't use the word inevitable.

Doctors have known about the ECS for a day or two, but they consider it a "minor/secondary" system.

And, what has broke out on here about caffeine?
Several of my doctors advise me to keep consuming coffee. There are several reasons they state. I even do a coffee enema every 2 months or so. For the cancer, Alzheimer's, fibromyalgia, etc..... caffeine remains a safe place.

Not a change back to holistic, a change to include holistic practices with the respect they deserve. We live in a different world. At one point men of power deemed it their place to set the direction of health care in this country in a way that would profit themselves. They managed to disrupt us for almost 8 decades, but the advent and popularity of the Internet has created a few problems with that plan.

They're not done fighting yet, by any means. After all we have a president who allows his Attorney General to step out and look like the world's biggest uneducated ass, so we have a way to go, but I will hold firmly to my belief in the potential of the human race and our ability to embrace methods of healing that have been practiced successfully for thousands of years.

Unrelentingly optimistic, and proud of it. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Caffeine.... lots of bad press there. They flip-flop this one every few years. :laughtwo: At least now the science behind the recommendations is a bit clearer. I'll likely never give it up, but my personal system prefers my limiting consumption to one or two cups of whichever caffeinated beverage I'm craving. More than that and I'm on the ceiling. Lol!

Cutting out coffee saved me a lot of money that I now spend at Starbucks every Wednesday when the girls and I go walking. :laughtwo:
