SweetLeef's Gone Even More Mas Muy Loco - Perpetual - 4400W TopLED - SuperSoil

SWEETLEEF'S HOMEMADE MITICIDE MITICIDE MITICIDE

So, obviously I did not create this recipe. I read several similar recipes and am just putting out there my take on the recipe. :)

Rosemary Oil

3oz fresh rosemary leaves.
Enough Extra Virgin Olive Oil to cover
2 small cinnamon sticks(I read that the little bastards hate cinnamon so figured what the hell.)
Crockpot
Fine Mesh Strainer/Cheesecloth

Place Rosemary leaves in crockpot and distribute evenly. Throw in 2 small cinnamon sticks. Add enough extra virgin olive oil to cover all of the leaves in the crock pot. Set crock pot on high and let cook for 3 hours. Stain oil, then cool.

Once that process is finished, I will add 1/2oz of the oil to 1 gallon of water with a couple small drops of castile soap. I will heavily spray the plants with this mixture, which should have no problem with the little mites.... I hope :)

I will post pictures of the oil once it has been strained as well :high-five:

Holy frickin' mite infestations Sweet. I am so sorry you have to deal with this but from what I know about you and what I'm seeing I would not want to be a mite in your garden right now *theme from mission impossible playing in the background*. I wouldn't be surprised if after the first day of treatment when you observe your garden you will find a mite refugee camp setup with white flags posted. HA! I love the herbal sentinel plants you are going to incorporate. Best wishes to your reconnaisance Sweet. Any thoughts on whether your oil/extract can be applied to the soil as a systemic deployment? If it could be used that way even in light dilutions, that would be...Sweet :) Best to you buddy. I'll watch the garden door and smoosh any that even think about making a run for it!

:ban: Mites! Viva la :yummy:

Good luck, SweetLeef. Thanks for the recipe too - I imagine that sooner or later I'll need it, so duly copied and pasted. Go get 'em, Sweet.

Go away bugs!!! Hope your remedy works!

Good look with your mass murdering mission Sweet, I hope your potion is a success :)

Thanks for the support everybody! It means a lot both to my girls and to myself! We're gonna beat these little things.

While I was rooting around in the soil looking for bugs, I found that my soil has some springtails in it. I was freaked out at first, but I read that they are actually beneficial bugs feeding on organic material and helping to break it down. Very cool stuff. I take the springtails as I am on the right track to Living Organic Soil. But the Spidermites tell me I'm not quite there yet.

I'm a little behind from the holidays, but I am going to try and swing ordering up some worms this month and I will be making my own worm farm for vermicompost.

In the meantime, I am gong to finally add a layer of mulch to my ladies. I will also be pulling everyone out of the tent and giving it the ol' elbow grease maneuver. Tonight I will begin the daily spray regimen. I made about 4cups of oil which would give me 64 1/2oz doses. Stuff is really cheap to make. This round was very cheap because we had been gifted a 3L box of oil because a nearby grocery store closed up, and the rosemary plant came with the yard. Free is a wonderful price. Once I start having to buy oil it will be about $12 to make this much juice. Pretty sweet... especially if it works :)

Thanks for the link CO. I will work that cilantro tea into my regimen for sure :high-five:

ClackamasCoot seems like a righteous dude! Thanks for sharing.

Nice job sweet.

Sorry bout the mites...damn they did damage quick.

Love you and your organics my friend....more power to you :)

Nice link COorgancis!

Thanks Tassie!

The girls got the SNS stuff two days ago, no treatment yesterday and they look much better today. The Pondo Mystic really took a beating, but seems to have some fresh green, but I think it could go either way at this point with that one. The rest who got it didn't get it as bad. So I think we're in pretty good shape.

There is some leaf damage on the flower girls that I thought was just leftover burn from the green cure treatment they got when they were just a wee lass. Now I'm not sure what it's. No tenting or webbing at all, no drooping either, they all look pretty great and are growing right along :)

The Northern Lights Auto will come down tomorrow, as will the doobe tube from the Solo Cup Challenge.

I think next week Winnie and Laura will come down. They have a decent amount of amber at the moment I just want to wait at least a week to be sure they are ready. I will try and snap pictures tomorrow but their buds are so rad looking. Very high concentration of trichs. We just had a cold snap so light off temps were about 15less then lights on so, while it;s hard to tell under the LED, it looks as though they got some good color too. Cant wait until they are ready :)

Hiya Sweet, good to hear what appears to be good news! Thank you for sharing your efforts and letting us learn from your experiences even in difficult times. Question, did the mites also get into your flower chambers and/or other grow areas and are you hitting those areas with the SweetSauce? Congratulations on your upcoming harvest buddy! Great job Sweet and thanks again!

Thanks man. You've gotta show the bad or nobody can learn and then your experience is useless. A wasted opportunity, if you will.

I believe that they did get in there. Although the damage they did to the leaves in there is totally different than what they did in the veg ten. They must have different plans of attack depending on the age of the plant? It was also much less severe in the flower tent. Yes everybody is getting the SweetSauce (I like that) at the moment. Flower's will only get it for a couple more days and then I'll just kinda leave them be and hope for the best. But the veg girls will continue to get it for a little bit longer.

So the Northern Light Auto came on today, we got a decent 33.1grams wet. I should get just about 1/4oz I think once she's dry.

I should also mention that all the injured ladies are on the mend and looking much better today. They were all reaching for the light this morning which is something they haven't done in a little over a week :high-five: So stoked that the natural stuff is working!! I'm going to blend up some cilantro tonight and let it sit tonight and it'll be ready to go tomorrow night :)

Anyway, back to the Auto that was harvested. I snapped a couple pics :)

She's got a funny shape for sure. I do love autos, but I am excited to focus on photos for a bit.

Hope all is well in your gardens :)

Happy New Year Sweets. I appreciate you showing us the good, the bad, & the ugly. Those mites are a mother!

I've blogged your home recipe so I'll be watching for updates to see how it performs. If it works well for you I can pass it on to other members who are looking for a cheap remedy of ridding their selves of mites. Also congrats on your harvest. I'm sure you meant 33.1grams & not 33.1 ozs.

Good call Reg, I fixed it. Good looking' out! :high-five:

I went to spray the girls and the ladies in flower looked so good I had to snap pics of them so here we go

Winnie Cooper and Laura Winslow are about a week or two away from the chop and they are looking really good. Standing proud, I think they enjoy their shower time.

The rest of the flower girls. Now that their starting to show their differences, There are definitely some I want to keep, are these girls too deep into flower to take cutting from? About half of them up close.
