Sup sweet's.I'll try and answer a few ?'s for ya.The root's coming out of drain hole's is definite sign to transplant.I usually do not get to them until day's maybe a week after I see root's.You will be ok for a week or so.Sign's of root bound will be slow growth.I have read but can't remember exactly where that a photo plant will show sex when they are mature and ready to flower.I wanna say around 2 month's.I smoke and read so much stuff,it's hard to remember what was bullshit and what was believable.:thumb:

Congrats on the lady!

You have to ''like'' a post that says ''I'm so excited about my lady hairs that I don't know how I will sleep!''

xx

:ciao: Cerdito!

It's nice to see you. It was indeed hard to get to sleep :)

Happy Skunkday Sweet :thumb:

Thanks Chronic! Hope you have a prosperous and fruitful Skunkday!

Top Jimmy!

How are ya brother? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions about roots! Please to be enjoying some +reps! I understand completely when it comes to smoking and reading a lot. Until you've done it and know it for yourself, it can be very hard to separate things into the correct categories Believable/Bullshit.

I thought seeing the roots might mean it's time. I'm gonna try and get to it Sunday or Monday, usually my day off, but work is crazy at the mo. Working till Christmas it looks like. :xmas: Well, besides having Christmas and New Years day off, I'm probably looking until mid January. Maybe a day off here and there depending on my boss' schedule, but not many. The joys of running a kitchen!

These longs stretches, while they do suck, are fun in a way. My longest stretch was 23 days. The holidays are going to make that a tough record to break this time around.:) Shit, I love it though. The hours are long and taxing both mentally and physically. The pay is shit, but, cooking in fast paced high end kitchen is more of a calling than a job. At least it is for me...Was for me...Is for me, I don't know. Things have changed a little in the last couple of months. I find my self much more interested in something else :) Something where I can work basically for myself, and actually help people and make a profound improvements in their quality of life and help to mend their wounds whatever they may be.

I think my 3rd or 4th cycle is when I'll start to have an idea if I'm any good at this growing thing. I'd like to think I am, but I could just be prone to beginners luck. I've read of a lot of people who nail it their first grow and then have a lot of problems and trouble on their second grow. So hopefully I wind up being good at this, cause I really like it, and would like it to be what I do, I think ;)

Have a great Stoneday, everyone!

Time is something a lot of us do not have enough of.Even tho I work 30-40 hrs at a real life job,my main concern all the time is my plant's/garden.If you add the hrs of thinking, reading, chating, planning, and work we put in to this it is crazy. It is indeed an addiction for me.:thumb:I love it.

Re: SweetLeef's 1st ever grow. Auto's and Photo's, TGA SuperSoil 2013-14

Thanks, same here,
I am going to catch up on your journal now,

It's pretty funny to see the look on people's faces when they hear me say for the first time that I'm washing buds.

They think its, next stop looney bin!

Re: SweetLeef's 1st ever grow. Auto's and Photo's, TGA SuperSoil 2013-14

I just got up to speed in your journal, very well thought out and documented.
The supersoil looks like it is working very nicely on your plants, they look like they want for nothing.
Does the water u use for the TGA super soil matter?
I can't use tap water for my grow, it sure would be easier if I could, what do u use?
I have a rainwater/snowmelt harvesting bucket(s) and fill a reservoir that has a bubbler.
Santa needs to get me a RO unit for Christmas.

Thanks for the reps, CO. Much appreciated.

Yes, you can, and I do use tap water. Fill a bucket a couple days before to off gas the chlorine, and bam. I love the Supersoil. I am probably going to try my hand at hydro for my second grow (hoping for a second round of beginners luck:)), and I will use something like TheCapN/AfricanGrowers ebb&flo style. I like to keep it simple, although The Supersoil is THE most simple way to do it, that I know of at least. water once a week. That's it. No frills, no thrills. Straight up, straight down. :thumb:

Re: SweetLeef's 1st ever grow. Auto's and Photo's, TGA SuperSoil 2013-14

Have u ever checked your tap water? Mine is at 90-100 PPM.

I also worry about cholarmine(sp?) as it doesn't evaporate out. Your water is fine though, it's obviously not harming anything in your grow.
Keep up the good work!

Re: SweetLeef's 1st ever grow. Auto's and Photo's, TGA SuperSoil 2013-14

I have used some chlorine test strips from work and straight out of the tap is less than 10ppm. I live in a city that has VERY good water. It doesn't taste chemically at all. I could probably water straight from the tap, but would rather nor risk it. It's not hard to let water sit.

That's damn good water. My tap is around 250-260.I only let sit out and that's it.I ph of course.

Re: SweetLeef's 1st ever grow. Auto's and Photo's, TGA SuperSoil 2013-14

You all with useable tap water make me jealous! LOL Mine is well water and it so full of iron I have to use a water softener, which means I have to have a Reverse Osmosis kit to use it for growing. Expensive!
So, I'm using rainwater and I'll be collecting snow. Unassembled snowmen. LOL
Hope you have a great day SweetLeef and all!

Hey there 420 Fiends!!!

Hope your world is all green! Mine sure seems to be at the moment:)

UPDATE TIME Y'ALL!!!!!

Let us start with the clones....

They are taking forever, I'm still worried about Hope and Dolly. Oh and I watered them last night

The rest haven't done much, I suppose it'll take some time, but I'd like them to get big enough to get a clone from NePaulina at least.

I don't know, what do you guys think about these clones?

Autos

Autos are doing very well. Although I didn't get a close up of it, Stephanie is starting to show her lady hairs today!! Dawnie is getting hairier every time I see her:) No showing on Aurora yet. The Autos got watered tonight, so hopefully tomorrow they'll blow up!

Minty had a big day today:)

Minty got transplanted into a 3.7 gallon pot, While she wasn't root bound, she's got nice healthy roots showing.

Then, the training continued

Minty_Day_36_Layin_Back.jpg

Flat as a pancake.....

Actually a little too flat:) The tops are actually below the rim of the pot in this picture:)

Minty_Day_36.jpg

Just before lights out, about an hour after tying Minty down, her tops that were below the rim of the pot are now reaching for the light and above the rim. YES!, I'll snap a few more of her when the lights come on to see where she's at:)

So that's where we're at with the ladies! Feeling really good about this first grow, at least the autos and Minty!:goof: The clones will do what they are gonna do, I can only talk sweet to them and make sure they have water to drink.:)

Hope everyone is having a nice morning!

I am also a newbie but live in the Midwest (kind of like Stalinist Russia!). I have purchased a small grow tent 2x4, 3 45 watt CFLS, a Jumpstart grow bulb (from my tomato days), an my new purchase an Advanced 100 watt LED. I don't use them at the same time. The big plant in my pictures is a fruit punch, and the two little ones are Gnomo and Skunk. My real issue at this point is ventilation. I am looking for a cheap but effective inline ventilation fan, any ideas who be helpful.
