Sweet Leaf's First Grow: WW Auto

Ok i see. Thank you all for the responses :)
So how do you maintain a good consistent temp when you pull in 65 degree air and push the air back out up top? Lol. I guess it wont be like a wind tunnel. I have a qb from horticulture supply coming hopefully by Wednesday i will have it. I got this all figured out now that MrSauga mentioned those beautiful little rectangular vents on the bottom of the tent lol. Never noticed them before. This is all making alot of sense now lol. Do any of you guys use a inkbird temperature controller?

Heres the tent now

When the lights are on the temp should regulate itself. You'll be cooling your tent down as much as you are replacing the air.

No I do not, but many do. I use the Inkbird RH unit. My Infinity fan has built in temp and rh controls so I get a pretty good control over my environment.

Dam whats a high cfm? I just ordered a variable speed fan lol but that inifity fan looks badass how does that thing work?
CFM is cubic feet per minute, which is how fans are sized. The highwer the number the more pull or suction you get. You'll probably be looking for something around 200cfm but I'd have to do some looking around to confirma that. You also must get a Variable Speed Controller. Most fans come with it but just make sure. They are cheap if sold separately.
Do you think i still will have any heat issues running led? Im under the impression that im going to be dealing more with trying to heat things up then cooling them down. But i could be wrong ive never done this lol
Heat will not be an issue. It should be easily, or easier controlled than HID. I don't use LED but the biggest thing that will heat up wil be the drivers for the board I do believe.

This is the AC Infinity. This is CAD dollars from Amazon. You can get it cheaper I would assume if in the US. They sell direct to.

I have the T6, the next size up from this pic. This is what you would need for your tent if that's the route you wanted to go.

Sorry, I'm not sure if above pic from zon is an older model. Kinda funny how the description states it. The newer model has RH control too.

This is direct from their website.

That thing is really tempting, seems like it would make life alot easier with its ability to monitor temp and Rh. So i get that it would turn on if your temp reached a higher degree. But what about humidity, does it just turn on of humidity is to high? And can you view this stuff from your phone?

You'd have to check with them about an App. That I don't know. You can set the RH to say 45%. If the tent gets higher than 45% the fan starts to cycle up by stages until full speed or the RH drops below the setpoint.
The same thing works for the temps.

Your room the tent sits in plays a big part in how it all works. If your room is over 45% RH then it won't work because you are drawing in wetter air.
If your room is hotter than the tent, it wont work because now you draw in hotter air(unlikely). So I have a dehumidifier(70pint) in my room and keep it below what my setting is on the AC Infinity.

Oh ok. Essentially the same thing as an ink bird controller i think. Well i ordered a 4in vivo variable speed inline fan and like you said i could eventually add a carbon filter to it if i need to. So i should be set i just need to figure out how to configure everything etc. I got a small portable humidifier that can run up to 8hrs at a time and a 350sqft heater just in case i need to heat things up. I really hope i dont need to use it though.

Not sure on swings for rh but I have that cloudline fan and I love it! Set your parameters and the fan does whatever it needs to.

Looks like all the pieces are coming together!
Yes they are. Does that fan heat things up it by itself? I got a variable speed fan that im using to cool things down when it needs to and the heater to bring it up. But it heats up super fast and then cools super fast using this ink bird controller. Idk id like to have a more consistent environment for the ladies. Just not sure how to do it yet.

Does that fan heat things up it by itself?
That's the same fan I described a few posts earlier. AC Infinity Cloudline.

For RH there's a thing called Vapor Pressure Deficit, or VPD as it's referred to. It has the optimal RH values based on a certain temperature at certain stages of the plants life.
You can view the chart here.

Not sure if the fan throws much heat. My lights bring the tent up to about 77F and then my fan kicks on for a bit until it goes down to about 75F. My humidity is set at 65 but it usually stays around 50 and doesn't get up high enough before the fan clears it out.

Now that I think about it, my rh swings about 15 and I didn't notice any I'll effects. 50 to 65 tops but like I said my fan usually kicks on before that.

I see, thank you for that chart!! That is definitely helpful. Ya i just realized that lol. Maybe ill upgrade to that eventually if i cant seem to get things under control.
