Supergroomer - Back & Smaller Than Ever

Hey groomer, when you say trimming and pruning, are you talking about removing some of the fan leaves? Is that the same as defoliate?
Or cutting stem, too? I thought you should never do that after flowering? To re-veg a clone? Do we know for sure what re-veg does yet? As far as yield? SweetSue, you do this, right?

428 years growing so far and I still don't know squat.

I usually do a major defol around day 25-28. Open up the bud sites to the light. :peace:

I knew you were a vampire.
Growing in the Middle Ages must've sucked. Lol.
You get my pm bout helping with some tacking?

Thanks for the explaination Cajun.

Sorry to take so long supergroomer. Sick in bed all day. I've a strong immune system, so here I am at 2:50 in the morning burning off the energy. :laughtwo: The eyes are watering now, so I better play it smart and go to bed now.

I'm joining Atrain in applying a little-used training technique designed to beef up the development of inner growth. It's called ponytailing, and it's simply the gentle tying up of new growth to get it out of the way so light can penetrate right into the center of the plant. Done with great care and only applied for 6 hours at a time every other day. I'm still waiting to hear from him about how long he keeps this up, but I first saw him use this trick on his POTM, so I'm certain it works.

Carnival

Keep it up for 4-5 applications, until you feel you've gotten the structure you're looking for. It works best if you can get some serious side lighting, or my favorite, surround lighting. You end up with a thick, bushy plant that gives you strong branches. This is how I got my Carnival to be such a beautiful shape that looked so much like Graytail's specimens, after I topped her at the perfect time.

I've been watching Atrains progress from the start, and I think he does some really beautiful work on his girls. I just can't see doing this for 6--8-10 plants is possible. Waaaay too much work! lol No doubt it does work, though.

Honestly, it is not that much work. I don't think I spent more then 5 minutes on each plant. I generally will do it again around 45 days, if necessary. I find it makes the buds hard as rocks all the way down the stem when the light gets to them. :peace:

Sue's Carnival day 10

She got a light feeding this am with some clone/seedling solution. :peace:

She's looking perky and happy. Obviously in good hands. Odd that the C99 stalled like that, but plant enough and occasionally one gets a sorry seed. Give another one a chance is all you can do.

Yes, thanks. Got it, but I think, except for encouragement, I don't know much else to help with. I point um to the links and push with tough love. Otherwise, brother, you forgot more in your sleep last night than I even know. Please don't ever let me get in the way or mislead. I know a lot on a user level, but I'll always defer to you and your experience. Peace and love.

Thanks groomer for some space.

Acid rain. Good one.

The girls in the flower tent also got a treatment of acid rain, uh, I mean essential oils. :) :peace:

I was gonna ask. They don't look normal run-of-the-mill pistol formations.
Ya digging it? Hope so.
I regretted posting that info not realizing someone may try it. But, I'm very happy with it so far.

We're glad you did Cajun. No regrets. We're all willing to play with something new, especially something that pays back as well as this technique apparently does. I'm looking forward to trying a comparison of foliar vs drench. I'm pretty lazy, so if the end results are comparable I'm going to go with drenches.
