Stocking Up For The Apocalypse: Goody's Perpetual Grow By The Beach 2020

Highya Goody.

You are using ver.3 Mega Crop, correct?
When you mix your nutes, how long do you let it sit before you use them? Any special steps that you take??
I'm finding that ver.3 isn't as soluble as the previous one.
I appreciate any insight.

Good Morning!
Yes I use the new v3 now. It does take a bit of extra mixing compared to v2. What I’ve been doing is when I fill up my water jugs to mix the nutes, I use warmer (80-90 degrees) water. Then I just wait until it’s cooled to room temp (an hour or so) and it seems to be mixed well enough. The Sweet Candy is actually even worse to mix, so really I’m mainly waiting for that to dissolve by the end.
A few other things- I do pH my water before I add the MC. I know many people don’t but my tap water is almost 8.0, so I get it closer to 6.5 before I add anything. Also I still do add Cal-Mag every few waterings. It doesn’t hurt and I do get the occasional look of Mg deficiency.
Ive been able to take some of my plants past the 6g/G (GelatOG loves 7+) but generally stick pretty closely to their recommendations and it works like a charm.
Not sure if any of that is helpful, but I appreciate you asking and stopping by ;)

Ok. I'll try heating up my water. I get a lot of buildup on the top of the Pro Mix.
I usually mix it up the night before but there is a lot that is still undissolved.
Mostly white flakes that I'm convincing myself is the cal or mag part, or both.
Appreciate the help. :green_heart:
Have a lovely day.:passitleft:

Not a bad harvest on the WCC, more dense than I thought.
944 g wet/semi trimmed

biggest clump (88 g) pictured, but lots of solid 50+ branches. Pleasantly surprised and fuck this downstairs smells good!

Congrats on another bountiful harvest!
Hopefully my WCC follows the same path as that one!
Hey- do you happen to remember when yours started flowering ? Did it go longer than the 21 day
average for an auto?

I know we talked about this one before but I have such a stoner brain lol It was an average blooming auto plant and I believe 24-26 days. One thing for sure, EASY on the terpinator early on or she’ll burn up, but seems to Love silica blast and sweet candy.

That's cool- as long as she wasn't one of the 16 day ones, I should have time to train her a bit.
I do go real easy on any additives- I learned the hard way what too much Bud explosion and Sweet Candy can do- now the only thing I add is half a gram of B.E. toward the middle of flowering.
Too bad you're not driving down in Sept - I've got 3.5 gallons of Terpinator that you could take home with you...

They all look pretty damn good, considering 2 of them aren't (allegedly) even possible... :cheesygrinsmiley:
Next, you'll be saying you can grow pot in a turtle pond....;)

Haha and I wonder-what’s that going to taste like? Frog legs?

But yes there was some good discussion about it earlier, I can’t remember if it was @Sunnyskies or @multiVortex talking about the genetics of autos getting further away from ruderalis, and are losing most of the ruderalis traits except for the autoflower part.
So technically maybe it’s possible to tap into some of the other traits of the plant while prolonging the auto genes through a series of shock/stresses. It sure seems like that’s what I did here (with the big one) and just a bit of luck doing it all on the exact right day.
Either way I’m happy to have 2 1/2 productive plants from one free seed lol.

Why so little? Look fantastic! Great job. What size pots you using? The one on far left got me drooling but why so tiny? Auto? This is from 3 weeks ago. Much bigger now.
My plants outside are huge as well, means nothing until I’m smoking them. These are indoor autos, and the mother was trained to be that size.

The reason I tagged you here is because in our first of several unfriendly interactions, you said it’s NOT POSSIBLE to clone an auto.
RIGHT HERE in this journal, on this page, it’s been done twice.
Seedsman GelatOG auto, 20/4 light.

No they aren’t huge (though I consistently harvest 7+ oz per plant) but there are 3 from 1 seed, whether you believe it or not.

Not sure why I’m even wasting time explaining it to you, you don’t hear anything I say.
But it has been done, so you can quit saying it hasn’t.

”Tiny” the mother-

Looking good @13goody13 ,

The auto clones are impressive and the Turtle Pond Pot Plant is a cool experiment. Curious to see if it’s even able to initiate flowering.
Thank you!
It FINALLY did start flower Just a few days ago... probably too late to see it finish (outdoors at least) so she may get moved back inside in a few weeks. Some kind of caterpillar living on her too, I just haven’t found it yet lol

Surprised you have such a short season but I guess it gets wet there in the fall.

Here, our season is about May 1st to late October into early November here before any hard frosts, in a greenhouse I could likely push them into December some years.

Biggest issue here is weather brought up the coast by hurricane season with the worst usually September and October. With mold resistant strains, they can usually handle it quite well most years. Windy enough here to dry them out pretty quickly after a storm.

Yes like clockwork around September 15 here in WA the sun makes an exit.
I miss that longer growing season in CA, the mist and rain here cause mildew probs every year even if the plants do finish properly.
Luckily the indoor ladies here have it nice and dry, and I can depend on their yields. The outdoors...if they don’t finish, they make great rosin ;)

She looks pretty good for only getting a fish and turtle crap diet
I should admit right now to you and @carcass, before she goes any further...
A few weeks ago she started yellowing a bit and I snuck her a few small feedings of full strength Megacrop to the upper root section. Greened right back up and started flowering. Not sure it was ever going to happen otherwise, I waited as long as I could but ya, I cheated lol

Inspired by @Pennywise and others I decided to do a video for my outdoor girls.
I just got a drone so I figured why not do it that way, and show you all around the yard.
The camera is great quality but the guy operating it is fairly new at this, so I apologize for the bumpy ride :laughtwo:
