Stocking Up For The Apocalypse: Goody's Perpetual Grow By The Beach 2020

I just popped in there to check and sure enough there it was.

I’ve got some 16” + buds from my Alaskan BB harvest but they still aren’t as nice as these CJ nugs. Stick to the wall kind of goodness

Bigger isn't always better.

This outdoor Wizard X Queen G (#2 of only 2 seeds) has been absolutely hammered by weather and snails since the day she went outside. She seems to be taking it in stride. A former runt, every inch she gains is a pleasant surprise. She’s about 12” now
IMG_4671.jpeg

The other Queen G x Wizard is fine (on the right) and probably not gonna add much more height. Only about an inch in the past 3 days. Lots of good little flower sites but she’s a bit of a medium/shorty just like Mom was.
IMG_4672.jpeg

On the left is Wookiee x Wizard, should get quite a bit taller but it’s hard to predict. Baby Alaskan BB x Wizard is acclimating to her new pot

Meanwhile in the next tent, this Wizard S1 is prepping to go outside once our summer starts (Wednesday ish the rain stops) she’s double the height of the others and will get huge out in the sun

Happy Monday from CapJunky #2

#1 is curing and definitely has a few samplers disappearing here and there 😂

Taste- 🍋 🥧 🍎 🍒 🔥
If that bud doesn’t win NotM I’ll eat Preston’s Stay Motavated hat!

@Stonecrusher I picked a different plant to show you my stressing etc, but this plant caught the actual 🌊 I was hoping for.

This is good for me because while sorting out my new breeds, this shows me which plants are going to respond better. The self pollinated Wizard S1 is towering over the other plants and needed half the attention. That’s my kind of genetics 🧬 lol
IMG_4678.jpeg

It also means the plant I used to make the seeds has some great potential and these traits may show up elsewhere. At the very least I have a few hundred of these S1’s.

This one is going outside tomorrow so her life and direction may change drastically but more importantly we know what she’s capable of now.

Keep an eye on her, she’s gonna be tall and likely pretty colorful

Thank you @SeedsMan that Alaskan BB Auto was very photogenic and easy to grow.

Almost 8 Oz, curing now and I’ve rolled some off her trim already. She kept the peppery, gas type smell. Totally different than her sister was, in look and smell, definitely in taste. Sis was a smaller plant but different, denser style boulder type buds.
This girl made absolute trees, I have at least a dozen spears over a foot and that’s only half the weight.
Looking forward to the crosses I made with these x Wizard.

Strong so far, once they came out of their 🫘 shell. Super fatty Indica leaves

Ok now that the sun is finally out-

I have some ladies living in pure dirt, no pots, minimal amendments

Queen G x Wizard

IMG_4725.jpeg

..and a random sprout cause this is where I pour out cups of soil that have seeds that don’t pop. But sometimes they do 🫘 🌱

This Wizard X Wookiee has been in 50mph gusts and rain its whole life.
IMG_4728.jpeg

3 out of 4 leafhoppers prefer chillin on my plants, beat that!

IMG_4729.jpeg
The weather does cool stuff to them. Great test of these genetics in near death situations 😂

And here are 2 wizard (f2) babies that seem to be doing fine, no nutes, no attention (except from bugs) and terrible weather.
IMG_4730.jpeg
So far so good!
These are just in the garden with all the other veggies. They have to be tough to make it here.

I’ll be honest I expected 2 or 3 of these to be dead, we’ve had so little sun. I just need to watch for bugs and herms now

Hey Justin just wanted to give you an update on that Wizard in the tent. She’s right at 69 days today.
For the last week and a half and after her stretch she has started drinking much more. Feeding is Prescription Bend with every watering.
So as over the last few days she has started bulking up quite nicely. The fan leaves started rapidly turning to that gold and bronze color that I attribute to age more than an imbalance but I could be totally wrong there.
Been getting nice and sticky with that pleasant maturing stanky smell. Trichomes are getting cloudy with just a tiny few starting to show some amber. I’m starting to think she may finish up earlier than I had originally anticipated.
What have you and others had for time line?
Just curious but I’ll probably just bust her down when she looks and acts like she’s at her optimum. She’s not there yet but quickly headed in that direction now.

They ask here what is your favorite strain. For me I prefer some more than others at certain times. But the very best strain for me is the one you’re sharing with a friend and I can’t wait to add this Wizard to the list.
:passitleft:

Thanks for making opportunities Jason.

Awesome! She’s a beauty and if you like flavorful stuff, that is what she was bred for. She’s potent too, with just the right amount of sativa sprinkled in there to balance.
I have finished one in 75 all the way up to 95 days. I think @Virgin Ground might have went past 100 with hers but I’d need to check.

Looks great, hopefully another one of those magic beans appears for you!

Your CapJunky is a beautiful piece a serious head turning stunner!

I absolutely look for the flavors. Potency is readily available but to find flavorful tastes that ranks as high as potency for me. I can also appreciate a good looking bud that makes bag appeal but I’m into the YumYum 🍭 and variety.

Agreed. I can get high off many things, but I want my own weed to be flavorful….also easy to grow, hopefully pest resistant.

Yeah the CJ is a pleasure to watch, even more so to taste
IMG_4740.jpeg
even without effects, editing, she’s just hot shit

One of the reasons I love this deck for autos and plants in general is the max sun exposure
IMG_4765.jpeg

IMG_4768.jpeg

IMG_4767.jpeg

The sun pops over the mountains about 5:15 am and hits this deck first thing. You even get a great reflection off the water. The Lux meter reads over 100k and the plants just drink it in

Since it’s Friday I’m gonna post 2 other things in my garden that I love ❤️

This apple tree is one year old now and I feel like I’ve done pretty well for it. It’s a Fuji X (unknown mother pollen) so who knows what kind of apples it will make. It lives in old auto soil and drinks what they drink most days + rain
IMG_4771.jpeg
IMG_4772.jpeg

And this little Grand Fir I stole from the forest 3 years ago. I’ve been trimming roots on her to make her a bonsai, she just shed all her needles and grew new ones, loving the weather.
