If memory serves me, this will be my 4th attempt. All previous attempts made duds and only got me (with my severely low tolerance) residually stoned.

It's my understanding that everyone is a lightweight when it comes to edibles which then leads me to believe that even half decent product should get the avg person good and stoned. Yet here I am, a grower of many years still waiting to enjoy my first edible experience.

that's terrible ive got some brownies that will get ya so are you making butter or oil ive not made but ive made a fair amount of butter I currently have the equivalent of 22 sticks of butter in my freezer my next question is what are you making it out of and how are you cooking it?

theres nothing wrong with taking it slow that's the best way to eat it I agree dank that sometimes the high can get intense I made some cookies one day when they were done I had one it tasted so good I had another well long story short im standing there saying dam I over did trying to get my wits lol that's higher than I want to be well once in a while you got to over step your bounds a bit!

I'm using coco oil that's the consistency of batter, but melts at lesser temps. This round, I did not measure anything other than to say there was about 4-5 ounces of trim, a half ounce of some junk bud I traded some PC for, then maybe another 1/4 ounce of some PC bud all ground up into about yay much of coco oil. I then tossed it into a pyrex baking dish and with a spoon, parged the runny oil and fines evenly across the bottom of the baking dish which took me long enough to come down from being too far out from the PC. I put some foil over the top and put in the gas over @210º for about 4 hours, then immediately strained through a cheese cloth and potato ricer, then let cool over night uncovered and took my "we'll see" dose.
My previous attempts mirrored The Capn's cannaoil recipe from DudeGrows. After chatting with @Agemon and @Tio Hector on Tio's thread, I learned the Capn's weed to oil ratio was about half, so I basically did my best to double it, weed-oil. I also used less lecithin, didn't use high MCT oil, didn't first decard the bud before mixing with oil, didn't freeze the baked oil after baking it and straining it. I cut about every corner due to an underpinning suspision that oil/butter making should be using only bud, or super duper troor frosty trim which I haven't seen since OG Kush.
If this turns out to be a dud, I'll commit to running dry ice hash with all future runs of trim as hash doesn't matter if it comes from bud or trim. I know it can be used to make rosin and am confident it can be used to make edibles, or vape juice. I just don't want to waste my trim, but have no real or viable use for it, hence my lack of concern with failure. I actually am somewhat amused that I keep fucking this up, though TBH, after typing all those words, I feel something kicking in from within. My eyes are becoming glossy for no reason, I haven't smoked since yesterday, yet my mouth isn't getting dry. IDK if it's a creeper high, but whatever it is, it's setting in slowly.
Dry sift works well for making butter or oil.

Is that for peyote? I always wanted to try that, well back in my younger years when the world didn't seem so gloomy. Maybe I should avoid psychedelics from here on out?

sounds like its kicking in are you decarbing that trim and idk about oil but when making butter its best not to go over 175 degrees the higher heat cooks your high rite on out of there!

I'd grow indoors, it produces mescaline like Peyote but it's legal to grow in the US

I used to love that stuff when I could get it they called it chocolate mescaline because it was cut I think it was nestle quick in a capsule good stuff nice high only had it a couple times!
