Sticky's Almost Perpetual Grow

I'm just trying to understand why some get plagued while others are immune. I'm beginning to think only organic growers go through this. I asked the question on a DWC thread on RIU, and nobody there ever gets them either.

Lol, try goggling "mites cannabis" I got like 520K hits. So much more common than you think.

We have 2 spotted spider mites outside all spring summer and fall. On windy day they blow in the window. So tracking them in on clothing, shoes, dogs etc. Very very common.

Once you get them you now know how difficult to get rid of them is. I think it's a right of passage for any farmer growing any crops. Some times we get pests. How you react or even be pro-active turns into part of your art as a grower.

Lots of farmers use spinosad. Its VERY VERY common. It's used on grapes and fruit/fruit trees and organic veggie farms.

I use it as a deterrent so that I don't have a very big active infestation which turns into a shit-fest full of work (and stress), me no likely.

I read this somewhere years ago:
"if you don't have spider mites now, its just a matter of time until you do."

When they join the party, it's likely forever. Sadly and my experience.

Trying to grow in a clean room is like trying to piss on the ceiling. G/L with that. lol

ive search several sets of leaves from the bb and I cannot find I live one so I am making headway coulnt find any on the #5 either ill check the others in a bit but things are starting to look up!:)

Be vigilant - dont skip a spraying. They will be gone soon. :Namaste:

Add some goodies in with the stuff you spray.

For example:
I add Kelp Tea - has growth hormones that will promote healthy new growth after the attack of the Borg.

You got this.

I had a neighbor who covered her cherry tree to stop birds from eating them.

They make netting for blueberry and cherry trees. Many farmers plant those 2 together so less netting to deal with. lol I see that up in Southern Ontario.

The friut that make it thru the hardest weather, will taste the sweetest.

Perhaps the mites won't lay eggs in rock wool and is why I never had a problem. I'd bet I've had a couple, but none have ever laid eggs and populated. I'm in my 3 location and never had a bug problem. I'll take your word for it about 520k hits on google, but I'm not in the habit of researching problems I've never had. I'm in NEPA, and if memory serves, you live is SEPA, so we should have near identical conditions more or less, so it's very likely I've had them in the singular sense, but never noticed any damage, enough to warrant research or treatment.

(King) John C posted years back that diatomaceous earth is a good top dress that slices open and kills the larvae when they try to climb out of the soil. Is that an option for you? IDK if the DE has other elements that might upset the NPK balance in your soil, but I can only assume that it doesn't, otherwise why would people use it?

It’s never too late to buy more records :)

Ha! I posted in the wrong thread! Glad you like it sticky!

Ya there is a pretty big record store in the next town over. I'll have to pop in there. Also flea-bay seems to have just about every record on the planet for cheap!
I love those oldies I thought you wanted to post this on conrads thread lol!

I grabbed a pic of the #5 and the bb getting some filtered sun they'll take what they can get!

I sprayed them all again today I just looked these two up and down could not find anything I got a new 60 x loop boy its a lot easier than trying to do this with that mini microscope I have anyway ill keep looking but they are looking awhole lot better!:)

You don't get 100F and 90RH for daze in a row. We get that regular. So thats the breeding ground for 2 spotted fvcks.

You dont have those conditions yet.

They actually like 80+F and say +60RH, only need 10hrs for eggs to hatch.

That's every night here, for months. Springs about to spring. I cant wait for the worms.

PA - right on.

Yeah man, I'm protected by the Poconos, lol, them mites aint coming up these mountains. We did have 80% RH for damn near all of last summer, but that was a freak year. You're much closer to the bays and the ocean and some rivers so you're in a breeding ground I guess.

ok so today I took a pic of the indoor battle girls or whats left of them the sd and the jh didn't get it as bad as the #5 the bb and the bd but there praying to the light they haven't done that in weeks now to get through all the deformed leaves and such anyway there going to make it not the way I wanted it to go but that's growing you always take your chances growing any kind of plant!:)
