Howdy, y'all..
Quick ish update.
I say "ish"; I got 41 pics!
All plants are charging, The GT fem is the star.. A beautiful plant. Just occurred to me now I didn't get an outdoor-natural light pic of her.. She has the faintest blue tinge on the edge of her leaves, and a nice dark colour. Plenty of pistils now, a bit of lst and minor defol has opened her up a lot; got my fingers crossed she doesn't wanna get too high..
The 2 'stunters'; the Blueberry and Strawberry Amnesia, are looking pretty good. You read a lot of good things about the strain, and this Seedsman one is supposed to be a good example.. Strong stems, good spacing (maybe a bit long but I guess we'll see how this light goes!), and a good colour. Same with the SA.. Quietly excited by the possibility of a half decent yield off these.. Relatively speaking, of course.. They are in tiny pots..I didn't bother to upcan after they stunted and I dropped the GT reg seeds.., so they were never gonna be huge plants.
The GT regs are powering. Nervous about their size, too! But they all look good. Pretty homogeneous; they all have grown, and now look, pretty much exactly the same... Couple are slightly larger/bushier.
Although still no pistils on them yet (as of yesterday morning), they all appear to be females, which kinda sux.... No seeds; no pollen.
On the half-full side: I'll have a decent amount of Golden Tiger. The Fem GT looks like being good; lots of good weed will help make up for no seeds (for now..). They are also in small pots, but there are 6 of them. Scared to upcan now, plus there's no room for 6 bigger pots anyway.
Thinking I may cull 2 of them, but I can't bring myself to do it!
So I'm maybe gonna make up a swick bed of of timber and plastic (easy enough.. I could incorporate a scrog screen; always wanted to try that, here's my chance), and cut the bottoms out of the existing pots...they can all just sit there. Humidity will be a bigger problem..but my "superfan" should handle it!! (Temps have been pretty stable in there, actually..)
This is a pretty bold move for me so I am unsure... On the other hand, it's another learning opportunity. And what the hell; I got 6 "extra" plants to play with.. No good throwing them away!! Might as well play!!
(See how I rhymed that??)
SO. Things to think about...
Pics!
These are group shots from last week.
These are the BF Critical Kush Auto, harvested Friday arvo at about 10 and a half weeks.
( I can't use or think about the word "Harvested" without hearing Metallicas Harvester Of Sorrow in my head.)
Got about an ounce wet; in 2 days she's already half at least.. I'll do well to get 5-7 grams from her, but she smells really nice. Really kushy, earthy-sweet but not too pungent. Reminds me of fresh cut "vegetation", if you know what I mean..
She turned out pretty frosty; yes there are a lot of white pistils in these pics but the microscope said she was well past peak; she might be a nice and heavy stone! For a bit of balance on the frostiness, there are a couple natural light pics.. Not a high THC strain; she smells like she could be a great smoke anyway.. We'll see...
The stand-out, Golden Tiger Feminised. Good flowering, way faster than the regs..
I just reckon she looks great. I'd like her leaves to be a bit more upright; might stop adding Grow..only using a touch...Micro has some N in it..
Gave all plants a good flush only cos I hadn't done it for a while. I feed on the lite side, so they all seem to like that.
Behold:
HHMMMM..... Thought I had more of her... Plenty of time..
Here are the GT regs in group, and one-by-one. All topped, all a bit of defol..
Here are the "Stunters" Seedsman Blueberry and Dinafem Strawberry Amnesia.
Topped, in case you miss that.
And just a couple of farewell cab shots....
So.. Not too bad in all. Ticking over. The BB/SA should be done in 6(BB)-9(SA) ish weeks, then another month or so for the GTs.. January before different strains go in... Seems like such a long time.
But it isn't. This will be a challenging flowering situation for me.. Mobile SCROG-swick-tray or not, 7 sativas should keep me on my toes... Will be fun, tho'. I think I've pretty much talked myself into the swick, I think.
I know it'll be a risk for cross contamination of the roots, but they all seem to be growing so similar that I reckon I should be OK if I try not to do anything stupid.. Stick to a basic feed routine, which I do anyway (I keep meaning to go and get a few additives....might hold off a bit longer and avoid the temptation to experiment!), and keep an eye on the RH. I can cover the perlite with geocloth to keep light out.......
HHhhmmmmm.. I reckon it is worth a shot...
Ok; that's it for now..!!
Take it easy!
