Steelcurtain22: Soil, GSC - 2022

I'm the same way. I can't... stop ... picking. They're looking great. Are they in their final pots or are you uppotting?

Morning Bill, haha and all good if you were! I didn’t feel like rotating pic! Also thanks, yeah they are responding well to fully recommended nutrient schedule, can’t wait to get ‘em in flower. So that brings up a question, wondering when I should flip them. If I’ve heard and read correctly GSC doesn’t get to to tall so shouldn’t have any worries of vertical growth. My only concern about going into flower is I’ll be moving either earliest May 1st or June 1st. I think I’d be better for May 1st and just keeping them in Veg until they get moved to new place? My thought is moving whiles in flower would be worst?
If you can wait it out until then I think that would be optimal.
Trying to move girls in the middle of flower has all sorts of complications.
Get set up and running right away then flip.
Keep up with the training if your going to be tight for space.

Stay safe
Bill

Always amazed at how quick these plants bounce back after being handled a fair bit or just stressed at different times.

Well Laverne was ready for her feeding as she was lighter than last time, not sure she was yelling for it but think I heard her psssst’ing me . She took the same amount, full 4L’s, crazy that 3g pots work out so well for watering with 4L bottles. Her runoff was identical to Shirley’s last runoff, right around 8-10%. Pic of it looks like previous one here. Well off to bed as got work in the a.m., Stay safe all!

So it turns out that apparently Advance Nutrients screwed up on labels. This according to the the raspy voiced guy that answered the number I called on the bottle. He said no, always start with micro, I’m like but the bottle says differently? He’s like, huh, never noticed and nobody has but they must have screwed up on the labels? I’m like really, I said, I’ve had bottles before this and it’s said the same? I can’t believe they screwed up the labels over at least a couple of years on the directions and how to use, and nobody’s noticed??? I was also told my plants are dark and droopy, so need to figure it out. I may lower or dial back on the nutrients in next feeding as I’ve given them the full nutrients recommended. May also go back to always adding Micro first and seeing if theirs a change in the girls.

I always use Micro first.. Always M G B. Your ladies are looking good.

I know, I’ve always heard that, just seemed to be contradicting from reading what the manufacturer has on the bottles. I always did same order M/G/B until noticing they say change the order depending on the stage, so gonna continue as bottles say and see what difference is made. A well know member swears it doesn’t matter as much as we are lead to believe. I think it matters more on the amount you use and adjusting it to accommodate what your plants tell you they need each feeding rather than the order you mix them…except for cal mag, always add that first and wait 15-20 mins. I added 16ml’s of each to a 4L bottle of distilled water which is the fully recommended dose by the manufacturer, if the plants tell me no too much, then I lower it a bit next time and see how they respond, might be wrong but how I see it. Well I guess I’ll see first hand how order matters after this grow!

Thx man, beauty of the selfie mode, never use it for me, wifey yes, and makes these up shots easy really! Lol
Right I could imagine laying on your back to get an up shit while being blinded by the light would make things harder

So gotta say, my lights come on at 1pm everyday and it’s my favourite time day. If my wifey saw this she’d beg to differ, haha! You can say what you want about all the Covid crap we’ve had to deal with over the last few years but i will always be kinda thankful as weird as it sounds. I say that because had I not been quarantined for what turned into a month and a half when Covid started, I probably wouldn’t be here writing this. I decided to give it ago as I had time on my side and so so glad I did! I will grow this amazing plant until my last days or as long as I can! Just rambling to kill this last hour before the lights go on, haha! Stay safe all!

Day 39: Veg, day 34 so girls look good but seeing some clawing on Laverne. Will definitely be dialling back a bit on next feeding and see how she responds. Not much else to report. Going golfing! March in Canada and I’m hitting the links, my other obsession! Happy Saturday all, stay safe!

Well golf today was great! Sure it rained, hailed, little bit of wet snow and overcast, but still had a good time! Laverne & Shirley are doing fine, had to adjust Laverne as one branch was getting a fair bit higher than the rest. The foam wire I bought to tie down is great as you can lower and move branches around simply by bending the lower part of foam to where you want it, liken it!

Day 40: Veg, day 35 Gotta love the crazy Canadian weather we get here! So yesterday I went golfing, wasn’t great weather but not bad at all, today, woke up to snow and feels like -10/14??? Tent was a little cool at lights on. The girls will survive although can’t help but wonder about Shirley as she just seems off. Could be she’s just pissed off more with the cooler night then intended, sorry Shirley. Laverne is looking great, she’s been good so far, knock on wood! Couple pics but nothing much going other than letting them warm up, even raised the temperature to 80% from %75. Also noticed the humidifier stopped at some point but good now. I’m sure in a few hours I’ll see a happier look! Happy Sunday all and stay safe!
