Starting A Continuous Harvest Grow - Need Advice

These just a Few more attempts but it's too bright Maybe more diffuse, I tried up close, far away, far away then zoom, flash, no flash ECT it def seems I need to keep working the setup until I am happy,I also had to throw away black fabric so I used one of my work sweaters for now

Once I get it down perfect it will work I believe,???
You are certainly on your way. :) When you're ready for practice, get closer in to the subject, if it's just one plant, and try to mostly fill the frame with it. That saves time on any cropping.

Are you using a phone, or camera? You might be able to set exposure on your phone camera/app and dial that down a little. It's overexposing with all of the light available.
I'm trying to give the best options for basics you have available to you. I do semi-pro setups, but I remember when I had nothing in regards to photo equipment, and had to make use of what was available.

Over or under exposure, blown out highlights (Way too bright), and focus...focus..focus for a clear sharp image of the subject. Those are the main things to start with in practicing.

As you can see, what I did was manipulated the exposure down so the light isn't so hazy and plant washed out. You can see the leaves have blown out highlights from too much light, so adjusting the amount of bright light down a little will help with that. (I did my best to correct that, but I was limited a bit) That's what diffusers will fix. Setting your camera exposure down will help a lot with that problem. Play around with it.
I also used the crop tool to rotate the image a little to get that "horizon" line straight. Where the two fabrics meet. Also a little cropping all around it.
You did a pretty good job with focus on the plant. :)

The pic you adjusted looks Soo much better, that's exactly what I'm trying to get close too. I am on a phone and I'm a bit of a boomer with tech but I can adjust that stuff and figure it out now with this lil setup my pics gonna look high times pics thanks again ladycannafan. 👌😎👍
Look online for videos or user guides for the camera feature on your model phone. There's a video for everything out there, and it's free. LOL
Oh, make sure the lens on the camera phone is clean. Nothing can ruin a good photo faster than a hazed up or dirty lens.

Looks way to green huh ?? It's actually really hard to edit photos lolol cuz I'm looking at pic so long I forget what it needs to look like ....very weird lol I think there is more settings if I enter my photos thru the camera.

Next time you take a photo shoot of a plant or plants, try to get the lighting and scene the way you want it. Then take a shot, and if it is under or overexposed, adjust your camera settings and take another shot. Doing the adjusting to a shot like the one above that was overexposed a bit much to begin with, will be hard to edit and look natural. ie; too green or colors not accurate.

Ideally, we want it acceptable when we take the shot and little to no editing required. But we know that doesn't always happen. :)
Kudos to you for your practicing!

Sometime in January, I have planned a couple of step by step photo shoots to post to my off topic thread, showing my set up method and procedure.
Way too busy right now with Christmas and New Year. 🎅

Nice I'm down for that, a picture taking class would be very helpful. After playing a bit I realize it's gonna take a bit of practice to even be able to see what I want outta a pic,let alone adjust it correctly to bring out the inner perfection lol

The canopy is almost even after topping the taller plants n letting shorter plants catch up

The bottom row middle plant that was clawing is almost fully recovered. The issue causing the claw was wind stress from fan.

Once the canopy is mostly even I will strip n flip them. Seems to me in about 2 or 3 days it will be time .....

The veg girls looking good,I've managed to slow they growth down considerably ..

The veg girls looking healthy and are filling in nicely, these are unknown pheno types so they are my 2nd hunt after this one. The best genetics in flower room rn I believe, but I'll run these 6 just to be certain I'm not missing anything lovely.

Unfortunately I recently had my land lord come into my place to work on heat and water pipes!!! He he was all under my sink and I'm fairly sure he saw little bits of light from the small cracks but doesn't know why or what for. He did not look in the closet or cabinets,I made sure I hovered over him. I also have been noticing that my veg girls legit smell like they are flowing!! In mornings when I open up n check on them the ladies in blurple light are raunchy af,I cannot narrow it down to a specific plant but they booming fr!! LL diddnt smell anything and I distracted him with my many other none 420 plants lol I have a lot. So I will not be able to convert the left side of sink into a veg room. I already bought materials so maybe I can figure something else out. I need to figure out a sensible alternative for a veg room. That's what this thread started as too lol I need to think about it,any ideas or suggestions?

He did not ask nor did he smell anything,I also don't know if he saw it at all. Even if he did it's rec legal in CT. I just prefer to keep it low down. I'm still gonna have a steady harvest cycle going for sure just need to rethink it a bit. it's just a studio 4 walls lol but I do have a cabinet for dishes and some plant stuff ??? Hmmmm

What y'all think about this space?

Depends on what size girls you are going to put in there.
What about a wardrobe?
Buy one and put it in a corner.

Oh like a big armour that opens or something similar huh? Hmmmm that could work, make it furniture somehow ? That's a good idea .. I only need to keep about 6 plants in veg around 6 to 8 weeks in 1 gal pots like my vegging girls now.
IMG_20241219_085026.jpg

The original plan was to convert larger cabinet under sink to veg room and turn this room the blurple room into a clone room. In this continuous harvest set up I will need a big clone set up,I need to be able to house, root an grow out 18 clones from 6 different plants,3 clones per plant. Once rooted I will select the healthiest of the 3 clones from each plant and transplant it into veg container, compost the remaining clones and then place in veg room for 6 to 8 weeks while the current flower run finishes.

what about one of those masssive tv cabinets with the two front doors myabe there is something like that in the second hand or charity shops simular to the following , brand new they will be expensive but a cabinet from few years ago when the CRT tvs where all the rage if you can get one that use to house a big 4:3 tv in them you would have a clone or veg area but like has been said a wardrobe may be better .

Yea that's a good idea, could set big tv cabinet in room n won't look funny. My only other option is to upgrade my clone room,if I can create that tote water cloner w airstones like I was shown recently I can keep veg room small. Cus out of the 18 clones I'll take right before I flip my flower room,I will only be choosing 6 to upgrade to veg the rest will be killed. So maybe I should focus on clone room, instead of veg room ? And a function space for 18 clones is much smaller then a veg room
