Hey pw, I go lite on defol too. I think it was tomula who told me to just remove the leaves that block bud sites. Hey man could be we a pick under normal lights? That purple is looking gorgeous!

Ill try to get a regular light on them today and post pics. Where their at makes it difficult to get normal lighting in to them.

I'm not a big defol guy either. You'll notice the leafs that don't get light kind of wither away on their own. Still, some swear by it and I can't argue with their results. I grow for 1 person. An ounce or 12 in either direction won't make a difference. I just burned about 8ozs in a fire pit just because. I am in a rec legal state and the wife has her med card as a cancer fighter, but, I still try to keep the stock on hand at a reasonable level. If economics were involved and it mattered, I'd look hard into it. As stupid as it sounds, plucking the parts responsible for photosynthesis seems to increase the yield. I don't get it???

I bent some colas down and fastened them with pipe cleaners to gain clearance then only had a few leaves that needed removed.

Quick update: its day 19 of flowering and i saw what looks like mag defiency so add 10ml of cal/mag.

Thank you Lootz i never saw it like that but i see what you mean. Its a thick canopy for sure. And this light does throw more white light than im used too to seeing.
