Solid stumps and :bravo: on the harvests! Go out and buy a bunch of new printers so you can use the boxes for drying. :)
:thanks:

I'm out of town again this weekend so I plan to just let them hang in the tent another week. It's about 65F and 62% so they should be good, yes?

After a week curing in the tent...

The tent still smells like cut grass so not done curing yet. I'm hoping Saturday to to trim and "jar." I need to get this done so I can clean and sterilize the main tent.

I also want to switch out the exhaust and intake fans. I mounted the 4" fan in the "attic" above the ceiling insulation. I wanted the 6" fan up there but it wouldn't fit. This summer I need to replace the roof of the shed and I may try to raise it a couple of inches to get the 6" fan in there then. At least I was able to get the 6" fan mounted outside of the tent so that definitely has helped lower the temps in there.

I also need to clean out the buckets. I'm also going to try to re-use the perlite so I'll need to clean and sterilize that as well. I'm planning to use an ozone generate to sterilize the entire shed, so I'll have to move all of the other plants and the harvest into the house for a day. The Mrs. is going to love that o_O

Congrats on the harvest Stardawg ! Looks like some great smoke :high-five:
Thanks GG!

I don't smoke much and the Mrs is asking when I'll have her RSO ready. But I do plan to try some out in my dry herb vaporizer.

Looks ready to trim to me!

The flowers are ready I just gotta find the time to do it.

Don't forget the burping! I find it takes 21 days from chop to get rid of the hay smell (7 day hang, 7 day twice/day burp, 7 day once/day burp).

I'm planning on making an auto burper. Got all the parts just need to get er done

Today I did a little root inspection.

The paint strainer doesn't stop the roots from going all the way down.

@InTheShed you got a link to a root balm tutorial?

All 5 plants had roots goinPQall the way to the bottom and out the sides of the paint strainers. It was interesting to see the difference in NL1 and NL2. They were in fine perlite and the other 3 were in coarse. In the fine perlite the roots were smaller and more "integrated" with the perlite. Not saying they were better...just different.

Not sure what to do with the used perlite. I would like to reuse it, but, there are a lot of roots in there. Also, I'm switching my system to SIPs with soil.

Nice grow, Goldmember!

"I am from Hol-land! Isn't dat veird?!?"

That's the only line I can remember. Loving the gold paint, mate.
Hey RD :welcome: To the end of the grow. Not much left but the processing. I'm making some RSO over the next couple of days and I'll chronicle the process using my new toys.

You might like to checkout my current SIP grow. I'll be showing how I convert the DIY hempy buckets to SIPs. And I'd love to get your opinion on how to use my external reservoir.

I didn't have time to trim the harvest, so I just cut the stalks into 6-12 inch strands and dropped them into paper sacks and put them up on a shelf in the closet.

2.6 Oz of buds...they were nice and dense and chock full of seeds o_O

The trim will be saved for dry ice hash. The buds were processed into RSO (details to follow).

I processed the 2 batches of buds from NL3 into RSO.

Best return I've ever gotten. Here's my process using my new toys.

First decarb using sous vide. I put all of the source material (seeds and all) into a vacuum bag and sealed it.

Then into the pot...

There was a steep learning curve here as I've never used a sous vide before and it kept shutting down as the water evaporated. To finish the decarb a actually put the pot on the stove and brought it to a boil with a lid on and let it cook for 90 minutes.

Next, the decarbed material went into the MagicalButter machine and coverd with Everclear.

I run it at 160F for 8 hours. Let it sit for a day or 2 and run it again. This batch I ran a third time just for an hour after I got home from the office. The first run was Saturday night at 11:00 PM and I finally filtered it Tuesday night around 10:30 PM. Filtering has never been easier using the MB press which screws right onto the top of a mason jar.

The leftover mash is dried and will go into my root salve.

At this point I have a mason jar of Green Dragon. If this were for me, I'd be done at this point. But the Mrs. likes her RSO. So, I let the Green Dragon chill in the fridge for about a week before dumping it into my new air still.

9DJP9rn4a3D_-fTS4OLYuAXQ=w666-h889-s-no?authuser=0.jpg

There was a bit of a learning curve here too. Getting the RSO out of the still was a bugger. So, I dumped in more Everclear and ran it again. This time I stopped while there was still quite a bit of alcohol left and transferred it into the pyrex dish.

I didn't get pics of the next step and next time I'll try to distill more of the alcohol before the transfer. To finish off the RSO I put the pyrex dish on a hot plat and set it to 165F. I let it cook until it stopped bubbling. I did take it off the heat plate for a few minutes because it looked like it was going to boil over. I reclaimed probably 40% of the Everclear. As I gain more experience with the still I think I can improve on that.

Here's the finished product.

Black gold! I like to get all of the goodness from the plant and in this case that included the seeds. The Mrs. hasn't tried it yet so it'll be a couple of more days before I can report on the effects. If it's any good 19.5 grams should last her a few weeks.
