DTF #2 Harvest Day (Flip Day 71)
Another story has come to an end. We chopped our DTF #2 girl on day 71. She looked pretty good for being 70+ days old. Still hard to believe that she was the stress test dummy before letting her get her feet under her in some good soil.
Buds were incredibly dense. No idea what the trichomes look like as I never cut a tester off her. She has a dominant fuel smell to her, but I started catching some feint aromas lingering in the back ground so I think she is going to have an interesting smoke to her.
Overall, very pleased with the yield on this girl. No idea on the weight yet but I will get a wet weight off her when I cut her off the stem in 2-3 days. She's hanging after her bud wash. She was starting to turn a bit of purple at the very end. I think if I would have let her go another week or two she would have purpled up nicely. Cheers.

Thanks Derby! Speaking of soil.....Mixing up another 60 gallons of it (new) today. Gonna cook this batch outdoors and see if I can't get a better cook. I think my last batch suffered from cooler basement cook temps (not the batch the DTF is in....the batch after that which was 2nd run)

No, there is no fluff to the DTF strain. The last one I grew (untopped) was the biggest cola I have grown so far. Not sure if you saw that one... Let me see if I can find a pic of it.

Yeah I think you were house hunting back when we harvested her. She is a great daytime smoke. I am going through her faster than I have any strain (from personal use). I smoke a bowl of her and I am good for 2-3 hours of hard labor in the garden with no pain. The two mark generally lets me know she's fading a bit and I need to think about smoking again. I can get 8-10 hours of hard labor, where I am bent over doing some pretty tough physical work done with a few bowls of her. She's about perfect for getting physical work done...easily the best strain in my stable for physical work and mental clarity.
Love the DTF

Good to see ya again brother and thank you, that was a great cola. I ended up losing about half of it to bud rot due to the size and denseness. The DTF strain is better grown out topped if you have any threat of bud rot.
Wow, that is a masive figging cola. How many have you seen grown out yet? Seems fairly stable too? Great job with that cross brother!
