Stanks Switch It Up In 2019

Girls are looking good, hope you get those aphids knock down.

MOB's looking hot!

Thanks brother, I'm totally crushing on her. She's stout and bigger than she looks in the pics!!
What SO said. They both look beautiful but there's something about that Stoners Cut that gives it a "Wow" factor. Thanks for the tips in the aphids, definitely a bookmark for me! :thanks:

:thanks:
Glad to be of help Boo! Bugs suck but knowing how to deal with them makes getting rid of them much easier.
What Boo and otter said! And have you tried the 1:9 70% iso spray for aphids? That's what I've been using lately and it seems to be working.

No I haven't shed.....and today is a spray day so maybe I'll test it. Thanks for the reminder on it brother!! :high-five:

I had completely forgotten about trying that for aphids....I use it for a lot of other pests if I see them. It'll be a nice addition to the rotation.
:thumb: Congrats van. A truly beautiful plant that Sour Cherries :adore:
Thank you Amy!! I remember the first time I grew it indoors, you remarked something along the line of "a possible POTM candidate maybe?" if I remember correctly, good call!!! :high-five:

The outdoor version didn't get quite the pretty color changes that the winter grow last year did, but she was really beautiful.....but of course I'm wearing my papa glasses too.

Hey brother. Just checking in.

Whats up brother......busy weekend weather wise. We got about a foot of really heavy wet snow Saturday so we spent most of yesterday evening and this morning on snow cleanup duty. We lost power for about 6 or so hours I guess. I'm feeling it pretty good today!
Some things don't change here. Beauty of Stanks plants. They look so happy. Remind me did you ever tweak your recipe for us? Want to go minerals/soil one day.
Hey Kis and :thanks: . I have tweaked my recipe a few different ways. I have my base and then I have a few different variations. I switching more to the reamending focus now. I have a few hundred gallons of working soil so I don't have a huge need to mix any new batches from scratch.

Evening folks! Hope everyone had a great weekend. After snow cleanup this morning, I got down to business in the tents and got the watering knocked out. I snapped a couple tent shots to post for the time being.

Flower Tent 2 - Flower Day 17

I'd say they are enjoying that @NextLight Mega just a bit. Its getting a bit thick in there. Did an inspection on the plants I watered today and I thrilled to not see any aphids. Doesn't mean they aren't there....just means I have gotten the adults. Gotta stay on them until all the eggs are dead or accounted for. I will continue to spray for another week and do inspections and evaluate where we are at then.

I'll give them all a hair cut this coming week as I search for any residual aphid signs. Less places for them to hide, its easier for me to manage. I'm finally feeling like this war with the aphids is close to an end.

I also did work in the veg tent. Things are getting crowded in there and they are anxiously awaiting some movement in flower tent 1 so that the Killer A5 Haze can get flipped. I'm pretty excited about her this go around. She can be a bit finicky and pissy and doesn't always look happy but the one getting ready to get flipped is probably the happiest one I have grown to this point. I've got a few girls in here that are in need of up potting, the Super Lemon Haze is still in a 1 gallon (gonna try and get another week or two with a top dressing), Super Silver Haze is also still in a 1 gallon (same thing with her....gonna top dress and try to get another week or two), and a BCP which is currently in a 3 gallon (gonna go into a 7 when we're ready). We're pretty crowded in here as well. All of them are in need of a trim as well which will happen this week.

Veg Tent

What's shakin everyone?? Hope all is well is everyone's tents and grow closets today. Doing a quick update from some pics I took yesterday while I was watering and tending the ladies.

Will have harvest pics for an update later today a (or tomorrow if I don't get to it today). MOB getting chopped today....woot woot!

Flower Tent 2 Update

Starting to get a bit crowded in here as everything fills in all the openings in the tent. Definitely need to do another round of leaf removal! I had to raise up the Nextlight Mega to the top of the tent, the Gorilla Glue was almost all the way up to the light.

Gorilla Glue #4 (Grandpa Token Cut) - Flower Day 21

We let this one go a little wild without much training until the very end. She's really leggy at this point and needing support. She just got watered yesterday. I will be doing a top dressing on her soon, as she's a big girl and probably going to put a little stress on the soil near the end.

MOB (Mother of Berries - Electric Stoner Cut) - Flower Day 21

Big girl continues to do her thing. She is pretty much a cruise control type of plant. Doesn't need support or a whole lot of training. Just water her and let her do her thang! I am chopping her little sister today, but I have hopes that this one will be a little better than she is. I don't think I grew the smaller one as well as I could have.

Gelato (Fem) - BlackSkull Seeds - Flower Day 21

I Continue to crush big time on this girl. I love her structure. She's in a 5 gallon pot and drinking like a horse. She's going to need a lot of water when she really gets going as she's already drinking at about double the rate of the other girls in 5's. Glad I took a cut off this one! :Rasta: I'm also guessing she is going to be on the quicker side of finishing just based off what I'm seeing in her bud formation.:slide:

Garlic Sherbert (Clone) - In-House Genetics - Flower Day 21

Another 2nd run plant here. I don't think I grew the first one very well and am hoping to do a better job this go around. Things are better now with there not being any signs of aphids in this flower tent for over a week now :yahoo: but I will continue to treat all of them for another week or two regardless.

Triple OG (Reg) - Exotic Genetix - Flower Day 21

Everything is clicking along nicely with this lady. She would probably benefit from a bit more room to spread out a bit, but we're pretty much outta room in there now.

Super Lemon Haze (Clone) - Greenhouse Seeds - Flower Day 21

Last and smallest plant in the tent. Her mom is one I'd rather forget....lol, not one of my proudest moments. When we were having the solar installed this summer, I had to put some of the outdoor girls away from the prying eyes of the workers. I shoved the Super Lemon Haze in the shed and I totally forgot about her for over a week. Needless to say she wasn't a happy camper and didn't turn out well at all (by my standards.....the peeps that smoked her had no complaints apparently). This one is growing much better than the mom thankfully LOL! I am growing this small cut in a 3 gallon pot. So far so good in terms of her staying happy.

And then once I take all the girls and play a little plant yoga and crammed all six of them back in there, this is what I get!! Not a bad site at all I say! There's a total of 34 gallons of soil there between the 6 plants so here's to hoping for 34 ounces out of there. That's been my average here the last 3-4 months.....an ounce per gallon of soil. No clue if the winter temps in the basement will drop those numbers or not but my basement temps are already in the high 50s putting my tent temps in the mid to upper 60s. Definitely not ideal. I will get to setting up an insulated space here at some point this month. I'm expecting to lose some yield to these temps though, just not sure how much.

Good stuff, @Van Stank! I can't even pick a favorite. :Rasta:

Love that Golden Tiger - nothing but flowers.

New round looking good. Everything dialed in and humming along.

Whats the lamp over your Gelato plant is that a new one?? Sorry if I missed it I'm subbed for the flower pics! lol Looks like I came to the right place!

Killing it brother. :passitleft:

GDB! Good to see ya brother! :passitleft: and thank you!! Favorites change somethings throughout flower....you still got time to make a selection! :thumb:
Bro. They all look absolutely amazing!

You definitely have things dailed in, as they are super healthy.

Kudos!
Thanks Vex! Soil is clickity clicking along nicely, the test is coming on all the rest of the transplants. We will see what it does over the winter with the colder temps.
I can pick a favorite and luckily it's the same as yours...the Gelato! Quite the looker you're growing in there, with some serious competition. That is one crowded house!

Have you been attacking the aphids with the Safer soap spray? Either my 1:9 iso spray isn't working or mine are multiplying at an incredible pace! I've been hitting them every morning this week.

I am still treating them Shed, yes with the Safers Soap (Make sure you shake it up well!!!) and really not seeing much of anything except on one remaining plant. So its definitely working! :slide: Spray, then rinse with water and silica the following day or so later. I was doing the safers 1x a week and then Capt Jacks 1x as well with rinses in between. Now I am only doing the Safers once a week with a rinse. I'll keep going throughout veg until I no longer see aphids anywhere in my house or basement. Flower, I am hoping to stop next week assuming I don't see anything in flower tent 2. Flower Tent 1 is the tent with the remaining plant showing aphid presence so I will continue to inspect the plant daily, look for source leaves via the flashlight method and pluck anything showing any presence. I will also search the plant and kill any crawlers I see every time I take it and the neighboring plants out for waterings. I don't want to spray any more in later flowering . I can ride them out since they are only one or two here or there. Nothing to grab a foothold. Find and remove your source leaves and your problem disappears quickly. Its a pain in the freaking ass looking at every leaf with with a flashlight from underneath, but its the best way to rid of the little bastards. It also leads you to be much more aggressive with defoliations lol. Where I used to be lazy, now I am a chop nazi! "Nope, don't need that branch or those leaves. Nope, don't need that might be something hiding in that stuff, chop it!"

Bob! Good to see ya brotha!!! Thanks for the kind words, things are going well right now....I'm enjoying that ride for a change man! This time of year is when things have been going south for me the past two years. Think I'm over those hurdles and onto greener times :yummy:

Golden tiger, yeah she gonna be baseball bats of buds :yahoo:

The light over the Gelato is the @NextLight Mega that the sponsors gave away for the POTY last year. Its a hell of a light!! :snowboating: Bright as fuck too!! You need shades to go in there man. The GG4 and BCP that I recently harvested were grown in there and they both were probably the two best versions I've grown to date. The crowd really loved them and they were gone in a heart a beat. I was staring at my feet through empty jars wondering wtf happened :hmmmm: It was so good that the next harvest is already spoken for, with some requests being turned away. That shit don't ever happen LOL.

Harvest Update

Mother Of Berries (Electric Stoner Cut) - Flower Day 58

Took down MOB #1 tonight (finally). Smells on her is amazing!!! She was pure blueberry around day 40 but she has kind of added a fuel/sour gassy over the past couple weeks. Didn't weigh her weight but I expect the yield to be good off this leafy wench. Spent a good portion of the evening plucking the fan leaves off her. Seemed like every one I plucked, two more would take it place. Finally I reached a point where I felt I could grab a few pictures and chop her.

Don't judge too harshly on the sticky fingers defiling the buds LOL, hard to do the plucking and not get sticky fingers with this girl!! Cheers!! :blunt::ganjamon:

I ordered the concentrate from Amazon today, be here Sunday. Thanks!
Spray, then rinse with water and silica the following day or so later.
I had heard to wash if off the same day, so I'm glad you're not seeing any damage leaving it longer.
I don't want to spray any more in later flowering .
But still okay in flower? No pistil damage sprayed and left on for a day?
It also leads you to be much more aggressive with defoliations
Seriously. I wanted to wait for 21 days post flip before thinning but I'm thinking of starting early!
Don't judge too harshly on the sticky fingers defiling the buds LOL, hard to do the plucking and not get sticky fingers with this girl!!
LOL! I was going to ask if it was hard to pry that cola out of your hands :). Looks like it's got seriously solid flowers.

Highya VS,

Wow!! What gorgeous bud pics!! Those buds are awesome! :Namaste: I've never seen buds that big before! Part is the awesome light! Part to TLC all through the grow!! I'd vote for those for plant of the year, again! Happy Smokin'

:high-five: Always an easy vote! :D

Is that lights-on or off?

Beautiful garden images and great infotainment, as usual :ciao:
Thank you Amy!! That is with lights on.....ive reduced my exhaust system to try and retain some of the heat. These high end LEDs don't produce a whole lot of extra heat so the temps aren't much higher in the tents.
